My wife needed a tooth extracted. The procedure was tricky, because the tooth was decayed, infected, and had an old root canal and a dental crown. We chose Luxor Dental based on friends' recommendations even though we live far. Dr. Raad performed the extraction. The extraction was smooth, flawless, and painless. The extracted tooth was unblemished, which was amazing considering the condition of the tooth. Dr. Siddiq followed up multiple times after the extraction to check on my wife. We went back a week later for a post-op checkup. We are thoroughly delighted with the care and service and will be returning in a few months to have an implant. Disappointed, left without seeing a Dentist for an initial consultation. First, no signage on the door to direct you to Luxor Dental. There were two pieces of paper of office hours for two dentist taped to the doors, but nothing that told you were in the right place. Since it was my first visit, making an appointment over the phone, I didn't know who I would be meeting with. Upon going up to what looked like a lobby, there was no one there. Waited a few minutes and there was no activity. No bell to ring or button to push to let someone know that I was there. Walked through the offices, half of the rooms were dark and one looked like it was being packed as if someone was moving. Finally found a young woman eating lunch in a back room. The young woman said she could check me in, but beyond that didn't appear to be able or ready to assist me further. I decided that the lack of signage, needing to "hunt" someone down and the overall feeling that not much was going on there was a sign that Luxor Dental was not going to be a good fit. Decided to leave. My appointment was for 1:00pm and I left at 1:20. I did receive a call from someone after I left. I explained my concerns and she immediately tried to "correct me" saying that there was signage on the door and then asked which dentist I was there to see. She wasn't aware that this was my first visit, if I was a referral or found their office on my own. First impressions are important, Luxor missed the mark for me. Follow up/add-on to post. Got a call from Luxor Dental that showed up as a voicemail. Called back a about 3:00pm. Very surprised by the conversation. Was told that a report was filed with the San Ramon PD regarding my trying to find someone by walking into the offices. Also there was a comment about my post and that it was viewed as slander or defamation. I was told I was not accurate in my description of my experience. The main contention was that my timeline was off. That I didn't leave at 1:20, it was earlier. I was told they have video of when I entered and when I left, if so, then I will acknowledge any discrepancies in my timeline and apologize for my confusion and/or harm. Seems like a gross overreaction when I didn't say anything negative about their abilities, care I did or didn't receive. I only expressed my feelings of being frustrated about being in the right place or should I be somewhere else and confirming I was where I should be. I have been going to Drs. Michel and Zeba for many years. I've done it all with them- crowns, a root canal, a wisdom tooth removal, basic cavities, and of course cleanings. I recommend them wholeheartedly. In fact, my entire family sees them now--even my in laws who are over 100 years old! What I love is how honest they are. They also don't take shortcuts. They never try to rush me into a decision. Instead, at many evaluation points for a major decision, they have guided me to monitor the tooth/situation before we make a decision together a bit later based on how I am feeling or how the tooth has progressed. I recall when I had my wisdom tooth out, they gave me something to help speed the healing even though they didn't need to (a bone healing powder I think...it was a while ago :)) - I find that they prioritize my physical comfort and they very clearly explain and lay out my options. Last but not least, the quality of work is excellent. I wish I could say I am unfamiliar with the challenge of crowns coming off but before I came to Luxor Dental I used to experience this. Not anymore. Dr. Raad simply does excellent quality work. I do feel like there are many dentists these days that view their work purely as a financial transaction (I get it, rent is high here!) where they are trying to speed people through and get procedures done without extra visits etc etc and that is just NOT the way that Luxor Dental operates. read more

He had to do a molar extraction and bone graft which sounded terrifying to me. After the procedure I was pleasantly surprised as it was uneventful and I only took one day off of work. I desperately needed to find an oral surgeon that would see me ASAP due to the fact I was dealing with a tooth infection from a failed root canal. I was in unbelievable pain for two nights. The first day of the pain I saw a San Jose doctor, all he did was grind my tooth down and told me they can pull the tooth in about 4 weeks. I was left with a $300 bill, painkilers and antibiotics and expected me to wait for 4 WEEKS... NOPE. I was not going to wait that long to take an infected tooth out that was driving pain into my skull 24/7, even with painkillers. I began searching for an emergency oral surgeon and found Luxor Dental. I called at 5am in the morning, desperate, hoping someone would see me, I left a message and Dr. Raad called me back just a few hours! At this point I was shaking in pain, but so happy to set a 9am appointment with him the same day I called. The doctor misdiagnosed me as having TMJ when I clearly stated more than twice what had happened. In this day any age it seems unless you are a famous person (Adele, Obama, etc), it's very hard to get these specialist to believe what had happened to you. In general, they seemed to be very afraid of getting themselves involved in situation when the prior dentists had messed up. He also made the incorrect judgement and told me to stop wearing nightguard, while I wait for a specialist who would work on my dental restoration. My story is a mouthful so ill try to be brief. 4 years ago (2016) I had it with my natural teeth, I went to a dentist in Martinez, I had all my natural teeth removed and got dentures. From day 1 I was in regret, they didn't fit, I couldn't eat and they were ugly as sin. Flash forward 2 years (2018) At this point in my life I had been living on soup, mash potatoes and protein drinks thanks to these awful dentures that this Martinez dentist gave me. I started to call around to see how to fix this problem, visited 5 or 6 places before walking into Luxor Dental. As soon as I walked in, the difference between Dr. Raad and others was very obvious! It is a small, quite office with no other patients in sight. I sat down, they listened to my needs, concerns and my expectations with the upmost respect. After listening to me, Dr. Raad gave me his thoughts on my options in detail. Because of financial reasons I knew this wasn't going to be an in your out type of situation and Dr. Raad was more than willing to work with me on the financial end. I chose 6 implants on top 6 on the bottom because of longevity. So we did the upper implants in May of 2018 and the bottoms in November of 2018. Best of all he was able to take my dentures and grind them down to fit and work with the implants! That means I got functional teeth back, that I could actually eat real food, in front of people even! Now because of my work schedule and finances its been a bit of a journey but Dr. Raad has worked with me every step of the way, he stays late, comes in on his day off, whatever it takes!! He is always very detailed and precise when he is working. When he is telling me what the next step is, its detailed and precise as well! I know for a fact, he has his patience happiness and satisfaction at heart because he won't let anything go if you're not 100% satisfied and happy with the results!
