This is an awesome little watering hole on good ole' Fry St…read more Just north of dude bro and frat boy central and just south of the Hipsterville bars on Hickory St. The crowd is probably one of the most diverse on the block. You never know what kind of night it will be here as the live entertainment on the patio varies daily. They've got Open Mic night on Mondays, you might get comedy or awesome local musicians on the stage. As for the weekend sometimes there'll be solo country acts, sometimes more alternative acts, sometimes full bands, and they've got a pretty good set of DJ's that play Weds & Thurs weekly! Definitely a party vibe always. Inside there are 4 pool tables of which are the best you'll find on Fry. On Sundays and Tuesdays they have 8-Ball and 9-Ball tournaments wherein you can come try your luck against some steep billiards competition. The inside and patio sort of keep separate vibes going where the inside is dominated by the jukebox and the outside is up to the performer. The patio bar is nicely done compared to how it was only a year ago since they remodeled it in March. They have a 100 shot bar that has a bit of everything on it, it's fun to experiment but dangerous to stand at for too much experimentation! Be warned haha! All in all this my go to bar, happy hour has $6 pitchers of Miller Lite, not my favorite but for the price? And the nightly drink specials are usually pretty awesome. Wednesdays get wild as double wells are $1 but it's always a good time! There's a great following here and if you take the time to get to know the staff they're all great guys in their own right, treat them well and they will reciprocate accordingly! The only bad thing I'd say about the place is it can get a bit smokey at times but it's not usually intolerable, no better or worse than Cool Beans or Riprocks. Thumbs up Garage, keep doing what you're doing Fry St. Bar at its best.

So we did it... and man... totally love the vibe here! We had no idea what to expect, but good food, great music, sports on the tele, and great drinks... what more could you ask? We ordered some Fried Pickles, which is ALWAYS a hit, especially with that Jalapeño Ranch dipping sauce... Hot Damn that was good! We also ordered the Potato Skins that were filled with mashed potato (like a twice baked potato) and queso cheese. That too, was a perfect start to our experience. My wife and I shared The Flo aka a Mushroom Swiss Patty Melt, with some house fries. I also had dessert, which was an American Pie Old Fashioned. All of it... all so good. My son ordered The Jaky, which was a pork schnitzel topped with gravy. He also had some Mac n Cheese to go with it. He seemed pretty impressed by it. Overall, great service and an excellent experience. We will definitely be back again! As always, Enjoy & Happy Eating!

A very good place for a lunch break or even a dedicated event, such as a promotion or business…read moremeeting; of course, this is completely dependent upon the local ladies who serve you the goods: Denton benefits from our local universities in giving students an employment opportunity earning their own personal future by providing the job opportunities, and gives waiters, waitresses and cooks important jobs, that, in turn, strengthens the business economy. Frankly, I am bullish about the climate around "L'l d" and even the communities all around here and it's undeniable that a rising tide floats all boats higher and we are stutter stepping through these dynamic obstacles, but are starting to catch fairly stable growth that is inspired by the most forward looking city planners who are in charge of the situation and even ensure that laws are followed and services funded. Though I am not very big in stature, sitting atop my Patriot United States flag-embossed power wheelchair, which I am still learning to use, I am confident that Hooters has a recipe for success and the future is certain. Cheers, Mark F.

We visited the Hooters in Denton as a family of six while in town visiting relatives, since the…read moreLewisville location was closed down. We ordered wings, tater tots, fried pickles, and steamed shrimp. Four of us had drinks (two cocktails and two draft beers), and everything was fine at first. After finishing our second draft beer, our server suddenly cut us off. A manager came over and said we were drinking "too fast," which made no sense -- no limits were explained and no one was intoxicated. After that entire conversation, the server oddly asked if we wanted a third round, which only made the situation more confusing and unprofessional. Our tater tots didn't come out until we were already leaving, and the wings were extremely small -- about the size of tater tots -- very disappointing for the price. We didn't argue because the experience was already ruined. We've been loyal Hooters customers at the Frisco location for over 25 years and have never been treated this way. The Denton location made us feel uncomfortable and stereotyped, and we will not return. This deserves more than a generic response -- real customer service and accountability matter.
