I've made appointments with specific nail techs that my bails don't chip with, show up for my appointment to find that the nail tech doesn't work that day or that they'll be in later. Also probably my favorite, they try and upsell you on everything, if you say you want shellac they try and push dip. When you say no, they get an attitude. I've also been charged for take off ($35) when I didnt even have anything on my nails, so yeah I'm a sucker but not anymore. Done with this place. read more

Such a cute salon! I loved the beach theme inside. They were able to get me and my mom in for mani-pedis the day before Mother's Day when the salon up the street was absolutely slammed. They did a wonderful job on my nails, easily the best nail service I've ever had done. Super nice employees as well! read more

Horrible experience and outcome. the man was rude to my sister and neither him or the woman that was doing mine did as we requested and showed them. all of nails are different shapes for both of us. I asked for burgundy and got cherry red. the designs are sloppy and my fingers hurt from the amount of dip powder that she used that i didn't even want. i came in for a gel coat with designs and left with chunky horrible nails. the man also kept slapping my sisters when she wasn't relaxed enough and told her no to another coat of polish even though her nails were splotchy. would give 0 stars. read more

This was not a bad experience while it was happening. However, the next day I woke up with bumpy nails and peeling skin on 8 of my 10 fingers. A week later they are still peeling and hurt really badly. There are also several chips in my shellac which usually lasts a couple of weeks before chipping. I came here because my usual place was not open on Sundays and I was a little impatient. It was not worth the money...or the pain my fingers are in! read more

I will not return. I have given this shop a couple of tries. I went a few weeks ago and three days later my nails looked a week old and the polish started to crack. I returned and the tech repaired by doing the nails again. The gentleman who did my nails said it wasn't him and I laughed since he is the only man who works in the shop. I rarely leave reviews. Rarely. But I felt it necessary after realizing I have been going to DX for several years and Xuan has NEVER disappointed me. The staff is polite, they always try to accommodate and since I have issues with change, they never give me the side eye, knowing that I only want Xuan doing my nails. She is a PERFECTIONIST! Went here before a hair appointment when traveling for work. The salon is overpriced and the work is shoddy. It's difficult to communicate because the staff can't speak English (or pretends not to) when you ask how much something costs. The woman who did my manicure left my cuticles ragged and painted the polish down over my cuticle onto my skin. She also put the polish on so thick that one nail smudged even after drying for 30 minutes. I asked my girl to fix it and she literally just tried to paint over the smudge which looked terrible and I told her no, you have to redo the nail. I kept saying "thin coat" and she just nodded but laid it on thick again anyway. The polish itself was OPI but the base coat was some horrible cheap stuff because next day, the polish had peeled off every single nail. read more

Sent my girls to get their nails done. A fill in for one and a gel polish change for the other. They charged my credit card $111 !!!!!!! OUTRAGEOUS for a fill in and polish change. Then my daughter with the fill in - her nail polish started chipping and peeling off when she got home the same evening. I am calling the State of Michigan today and filing a complaint. Everyone is super kind! I've had different nail techs do my nails the times I've been in and they all do a great job every time.

Got a shellac manicure and it lasted 10 days and started chipping during my vacation by day 14 they started completely popping off. Never had this happen and have had them done before. when I complained to management all she did was tell me that is standard and then went on to confirm in the books that I had been there 14 days prior so I was on day 15 so she was right. No apologies. She was more concerned about being right than what was right for the customer. Will not return nor recommend. read more

It was pretty decent for a nail salon. I really liked the interior decoration. I went in for a full set of acrylics. I got my nails done by Vicky L. I had a reference picture, she asked me if they looked okay before she kept going with the rest of my nails. She seemed to care if I liked my nails or not, overall did a pretty good job. She took her time on me. Wouldn't say this is a place to go if you have to be in and out, but its worth it if you have some spare time. But they do charge extra for pointy/shaped acrylics. Made an appointment (was not the last appointment of the day) and they had an hour before they closed. The owner locked the door on me when I got there for my appointment. When I called the place while standing outside the door she told me to "come back tomorrow, go home!" For real? If you own a business and your customer come to thier appointment and you lock them out, you should not be in business. I would not be surprised if this place is not up and running if they treat thier customers like this. I will most definitely be going else where. So I went back in and they fixed it... only for it to be broken days later. I went in again today.. 3rd time in the matter of a week and the woman was extremely rude to me. She did not care and just said I wasn't listening and that my nail would break either way. I kept explaining that the nail technician made my nails extremely frail when they have never felt like that.. also that I have been there many times and that I have never had this problem.. but no she did not have any customer service she just had the NERVE to tell me it was not the nail technicians fault.. when you walk out it's not our problem. I've been a long time customer. I got a shellac manicure as normal. For the first time It was done by the older lady on the right side of the salon. It was a busy day. Normally there are no problems when I select any technician on the left side ( Mike, Xuan, & the other young lady). Within 2 to 4 days of service, 4 nails chipped or peeled. I had to take time to get them repaired twice. Once by Xuan & then by the older lady (who screwed it up). When I called days after the 1st correction and told Xuan that more are chipping & that they need to start over from scratch. I sensed an attitude about the suggestion. The technician that screwed my nails up called herself repairing the nails that were chipping or loose. Do you know one of the nails that she replaced was significantly chipped within a week? She obviously need retraining. Because she chose to awkwardly chuckle like a kid instead of apologize & I received an attitude by the manager instead of empathy; I will find another place to spend my dollars. If you do choose this business stick with the technicians on the left side of the salon. I only had this problem 2x when i had 2 separate technicians on the right side. The 1st blunder was not at all as bad as this time. read more

honestly the worst full set of acrylics i have ever gotten. went in, got them done. the shellac had bubbles in it and 4 of the nails fell off the next day, even more the next day. the woman was talking about inappropriate things while doing my nails. they charge $40 for the acrylic and $5 for the tips... i went back in and asked for a refund or to get them redone and the woman claimed that the reason they fell off was because my natural nails are too short and that i need to get the tips shorter. i have been wearing acrylics for about 6 years now and i have never had my nails just pop off and my natural nails have been shorter than what they are now and i used to get my acrylics longer than what i got this time. read more

I wanted to do a mother daughter outing for my daughter's birthday. We invited a couple of friends. I made an appointment for five people, two adults and 3 girls. When we got there, there were a few people already waiting. I asked them if they had made appointments or were they walk ins. They told me that they were walk ins. The manager told me that the wait wouldn't be long. We ended up waiting an hour before they started taking care of us. I would have left sooner if I was by myself but I wanted my girls to have a nice experience. They took so long that one of the girls started getting antsy and then needed to use the bathroom and ended up smudging her polish. I complained to the manager about how long we had to wait and she basically said that It's the weekend. I told her that even though it's the weekend, I made an appointment and they should have planned properly. I would not recommend this place. The workers are pleasant and do a fair job but the management is very poor. read more

This was probably the worst nail-salon experience I've had that I could remember. I got a mani-pedi here. This was my first (and only) time in this salon. I walked in without an appointment and asked if they could accommodate me. They said yes. I spent 40 minutes soaking my feet before someone would come and get started on my pedicure. My nail technician was extremely rough and unprofessional. She would pull on my feet and was, overall, very rough. She cut off one of my toenails on a diagonal slant. When I told her I wanted it fixed (way before she applied any nail polish), she told me there was nothing wrong with my toenails. I told her that as I was looking at it, it is not parallel to the nail bed, but it was diagonal. She told me that either my toe was crooked or that it looked straight from her point of view. She called over the manager to ask her if my toenail was straight. I couldn't believe it... then, she quickly and sloppily applied the nail polish on my toes and told me to come to her station for my manicure. The sloppiness continued. When I asked her to cut out cuticles that were left sticking out, her response was "oh that doesn't look so bad." Unbelievable. After she was done, I was handed the bill by the manager, and my nail technician just got up and walked off--no "thank you", "goodbye" or any other such pleasantries. I went off to the drying station. I was there for 30 minutes. Asked my nail technician if I could put my shoes on and she said yes. I got home--my pedicure was ruined. I've never had such a bad experience. I think their nail polish is old and doesn't dry off properly. I called them back and they told me I should have never put my shoes on. I have been here two times both of the times that I have been here the staff has been unbelievably rude making fun of the way my nails looked beforehand to each other right in front of me.
