Instead, she talked me into getting a gel manicure by the same gentleman that did my pedicure because I'm assuming that's the only thing he knows how to do. He did an awful job, most of my fingers are crooked, and I am now on day five of my manicure, and they are all starting to fall off. I don't recommend this place to anyone. I would go and get them fixed because I spent a lot of money on the set, however, I leave for my trip in less than a day and I don't have time to.

It is in a quiet room with one other pedicure chair, with low lighting, soft music playing, and fresh smelling aromatherapy. I'm not a huge fan of scents but they used real essential oils (not fragrance), and they were so calming and pleasant. The pedicure starts with a brief foot soak in a warm and relaxing seat. Once you soak for a few minutes they give you a blanket, a warm neck wrap, and recline the chair to zero gravity, and give you an eye cover. The vibe is relaxed, calming, and a nice break from a chaotic world. I am very low maintenance. I love my natural nails, short and generic. However, the middle finger on my right (dominant) hand breaks regularly. I garden, paint, etc. Usually, I superglue it until I remember to call them. Both Ann and Tim have suggested "acrylic" to me many times. I refuse. Again, I'm pretty "generic" and very "picky". They don't "push" or use high-handed upsell tactics. Yesterday, Tim said: Patty, let's do an acrylic on that one. Just try it out. He didn't even charge me for it!!! So he filed them really short (which is how I like them), and put acrylic on that one nail. It looks exactly like my natural nails. I am shocked (again, a snob about acrylics). A pedicure, a full set of sculpted acrylics with gel polish, and a Norvell Venetian spray tan (8 hour solution.) Pedicure: We started with the pedicure. She uses a disposable bag so the pedicure is sanitary. She also used a new disposable foot file, which was great! The pedicure is wonderful. She gives and excellent pedicure massage. She helped me pick my polish color and I love it! (Pictured) Manicure: I asked for a full set of acrylics and she did an amazing job creating sculpted acrylics and filed them down like a true artist. They look perfect! I chose "Strawberry Margarita" gel Polish so they will last longer. (Pictured) Spray tan: She took me to the back and explained to get undressed and hang my clothes on the back of the door. Then to put on a shower cap and sticky feet. She also had makeup wipes available. I waited in the tent and she came right in and explained the airbrush method. She did 2 thorough coats using Norvell Venetian 8 hour solution. I just rinsed off and my tan looks wonderful! Stephanie is extremely professional, personable, sweet and the quality of her work is top notch. She doesn't rush and it's a very private and relaxing experience. I highly recommend Onyx studio and I will be back for a fill, a pedicure and an airbrush tan for my next event.
