I don't know if this caused any issues, but the two technicians spent most of the appointment talking to each other in their own language, which made the experience feel uncomfortable. The foot massage was also very disappointing and lasted only about 40 seconds. Our pedicures turned out okay in the end, but the overall experience was not what we expected based on our previous visits. Unfortunately, we will not be returning. It seems like this salon can be hit or miss depending on the visit.

I scheduled an appointment for a gel manicure and, upon arrival, was informed that they were running about 20 minutes behind schedule. While inconvenient, I understand that delays happen and did not have an issue with that. My concern is with the quality of the service itself. I was charged $60 for a gel manicure with chrome, which was significantly more expensive than I was accustomed to paying here. Unfortunately, the results did not reflect that price point. The chrome effect is barely visible and simply looks like a standard shiny top coat. My cuticles were minimally attended to, leaving the manicure looking unfinished and uneven. Additionally, several nails are lumpy and inconsistent in appearance. Most disappointing of all, the polish on my thumb began peeling less than 24 hours after the appointment. For a gel manicure at this price, I expected much better quality and longevity. As a long-time customer who has had many positive experiences here over the years, it is especially disheartening to leave such a review. I have always appreciated this salon, which makes this experience all the more disappointing.

The nail tech then cut my big toenail all the way down to my skin. She cut two more off before I could stop her. I asked her, 'Why did you cut them so low?' She replied that I had asked for a trim. A trim and a cut are not the same thing. She got an attitude because I questioned her, and she never said she was sorry for not listening to me. That ended up being the worst nail polish change experience I've ever had. Don't take customers near closing time. She may have rushed and did an extremely poor job since the salon was closing soon.

I've followed her from another location to here. Rocky Nails is super clean, quiet and it doesn't smell like chemicals like some other nail places. Very disappointing second experience…read more I had two very different experiences at this salon. I should also not both times we're walk-ins around 1pm and they were busier the second time I went. The first time I went, I had a great experience with my technician. She took the time to understand what I wanted and I left very happy with my nails! They were beautiful and this place was close to my boyfriend's house, so I got excited and wanted to start coming back regularly. Unfortunately I was very clumsy that week and broke two of my beautiful nails -- my index finger and thumb. So I went in again on my day off, said hello and checked in, picked out my color from before (thankfully I remembered!), and sat patiently in the corner on my phone for them to be ready for me. (I should also note that I literally had nothing to do on my day off, so I could have waited an hour and I wouldn't have cared in the slightest! I also work in the service industry and understand how hectic times can be and also how great it is this store is busy with business again). A technician told me to follow her back so I did so. I imminently was under the impression that she did not want to see me as she talking to a client that has already booked an appointment with her. She told her client that she would fix my nails quickly and be right with her. It seemed awkward for both myself and her other customer, as we were sitting right next to each other. The technician was very thorough with checking with her regular client about how she was doing and if she needed anything and what she wanted done. She did not as me any of these questions, which made me feel extremely unwelcome. I sat quietly and waited for her to complete her work. The technician then told me when we were almost done that "it was not her job to do my nails because she already had an appointment right now." (This is word-for-word what she told me). This shocked me to hear and made me very uncomfortable as I did not understand what I had done wrong, so I did not comment because I didn't know what to say honestly! Instead, I looked down and sat patiently as she proceeded to finish my nails. I believe she did well with my thumb although it is not straight and is long. However, my index finger is done horribly. It is the wrong length completely and is angled downward whereas all my other nails are nearly straight. I believe it is also the incorrect size as it is much more round than any of my other nails. I was so uncomfortable after she had finished, I did not want to have her fix the horrible job she had done. I've never felt so horribly about being a customer. After she finished, she told me I did not need to pay and I could go. I quietly asked her if I could still leave a tip (as I still know how hard times can be for service workers). She seemed almost surprised that I wanted to and said yes. I left $5 and nearly ran out the door. I was in tears walking out. I do understand stress during busy hours, but I'm not sure why the salon didn't have me wait longer if there was not a technician ready for me. Unfortunately, I will now need to find a new nail salon because I would be EMBARRASSED to go back here ever again. They make you feel bad for coming in -- just be aware!! I also hope the salon finds this review well as my first technician was nearly perfect. This is my first review I have ever felt the need to write to a business. I really hope they can find more people like the first tech soon!
