I told her I appreciated her apology and the offer, but felt that I made the right decision to move on. ********************************************************** So disappointed writing this... I have been going to the same stylist at Salon Blonde for a couple of years. I'm always on time, make my appts in advance, and have only had to reschedule once due to a medical emergency. I showed up 10-15 minutes early to my appointment yesterday afternoon and was sheepishly told by the new receptionist that my stylist's client before me "got there late" (although I didn't see her or anyone at her station...). I was then told that she had asked someone else to take my appt... "if that was OK with me..." No, its not OK... this isn't Super Cuts... there was no attempt to call/text me to see if I wanted to reschedule, or to even offer me the option of seeing a different stylist. If she was really physically in the building, wouldn't she (after two years) have apologized and told me this face-to-face?? I decided to reschedule, then thought, nope,... not doing it... and cancelled. I understand if there is an emergency, but if the receptionist knew about this enough in advance to inform me of the issue when I walked in, the salon should have contacted me. I asked for a soft, faded balayage and instead got the most blotchy, choppy, uneven mess you can imagine. It was nothing like what I asked for--TEASY balayage, not zebra stripes! I was absolutely devastated. I trusted them, and they RUINED my hair. I'm still traumatized and thank GOD I went to a different hair salon to fix it. And to top it off, when I asked for a refund, the owner said no, unless I went there and they fixed it AS IF I had the confidence and trust them with my hair again, HECK NO, no apology, no accountability, nothing.
