The lady that did my nails was rough unable to relax herself and with the famous line: "I do it for you" Do what? AMAZING! Best service Best pedicure ever. I just got back from the Luxurious Nails Salon. I'm sporting an absolutely perfect pedicure. They look perfect. Not crooked. No stray polish. Just perfect toes!!! They have great massage chairs that even work the tired muscles in your legs. I've been to many of the nail salons listed in this area, and not one of them is as great as this salon. I'm so very happy with the results. They are open monday-sat from 9-7. However I called today on sunday and she was open so she took me. I'm so happy I ventured over there. I strongly suggest you try it out. read more

My mother was coming into town in a few weeks and I thought I would buy a GC here so that she and my daughter could come in to spend some time together getting their nails done. My daughter was so excited to go get a mani/pedi with grandmom, and I was excited to have a few hours to myself! I bought the GC for $65 in advance so that this would be an easy experience for all of us on the day of. After the manicure my mom explained to her that they would be paying with a GC. HOWEVER, Lee was extremely rude to my mother and daughter claiming to have not sold the GC to me. She insisted on having my mother call me on her cell to confirm that I purchased the GC from them. When I spoke with her on the phone she asked me who sold me the gift certificate and for what services. I explained I wanted them to be able to both get a mani/pedi. She wanted to know when I bought it and from who. I told her the gender of the person I purchased it from (didnt know the persons name) and couldn't remember the exact date.. but seriously what was the issue? It was on their stationary and my CC was billed. I couldn't believe how rude she was being. At this point my daughter was in tears and they left before she and grandma could even get their pedicures. Lee also insisted on keeping the unused portion of the GC and told my mom to just send me in when I wanted to get my nails done to use the other half--but without anything to take with them. My mother didnt want to press the issue since my daughter was already scared of Lee and just left. Like I want to go back in there for a pedicure myself? PLEASE. read more

I found the prices to be 3xs more the cost in the city of SF. I also didn't find the pedicure to be very good. She uses a razor, which can spread warts. She didn't tell me if she had a new blade when I asked. I will stick to getting my nails done in the city. read more

This is a great salon. Lee is a wonderful manicurist, skilled and gentle. I have come to Lee for manicures for almost 10 years and have always been pleased with her work. The salon itself is very nice and very clean. Everything is always washed thoroughly. She remembers the colors that i have liked and really pays attention to me when I am there. When I am under stress and I bite off my nails, she has been my saviour! Her skill with applying acrylic nails is pure artistry....and never do I hear a "tsk tsk"! I have been there many times and notice that she gives this focused attention and skill to all her customers. In addition we have fun discussing the ins and outs of the world that we read about in People Magazine! Definitely go there, I am very happy that I do. read more

I have found my new favorite nail salon in Marin and I've been to many. This little shop is run by Lee who takes such care and time on your nails. Don't expect to be in and out in 20 minutes however. Just prepare to relax into the comfortable massage chair and enjoy the pampering. I only can speak about the pedicures but I'll say that my feet never look and feel better than after a session here. I get the best foot and leg massage, wax treatment, lotion and oil, foot care, scrub and attention. And my toes look pretty for several weeks. read more

The owner Lee is always very friendly and good about scheduling (you don't have to wait when you have an appointment unlike at other salons where they book you and then you're stuck waiting). The salon is clean, and it is really nice that you can sometimes drop by on short notice and they will fit you in! No better salon in San Anselmo, and a big improvement over some in San Francisco. This review is long overdue. I have never had such a horrible experience getting my nails done. I used to work on the avenue and got the recommendation to never go in here due to cleanliness and just a horrible job in general. I was on my lunch break and desperate for at least a color change. Due to what I had heard of this place, I knew I should have never gone in. But I thought it's just a polish change, how bad can it be? When I first walked in, there was no one inside (and that should have been my red flag to flee). A lady who I'm assuming is the owner and a young man were in the back talking. They came out and it took a few minutes for them to even acknowledge me, whatever. Then she rudely asked what I wanted. I told her a polish change, she looked annoyed when I said I wanted French and I even offered to pay ahead of time (second mistake never-ever again!!!) I left amount plus tip, dumbest mistake ever. She began taking off my nail polish noticing she was being really frugal with the cotton. She then proceeds to sit back and start taking her own nail polish off-with the cotton she had just used to take mine off! EW! I noticed her hair was so dirty I was afraid the flakes in her hair would fall on my hands and nails. She just sat there mumbling "my color, my color". I just sat there frozen thinking, "Your color?!? I believe this is MY service, MY time and my germs?" After about 5 minutes of me just holding my hands there watching her take off her own polish, I asked politely how long it would take and mentioned that I only had 30 minutes because of my lunch break. (Again, it was just a polish change!) She then proceeded to no joke, interrogate me about my job. I told her I was an esthetician. Her response was to talk trash about the owner of where I worked as well as the company and say we stole all her business. I looked around because the place is tiny and asked her what else they did there. Apparently waxing. I have never felt so uncomfortable in my life. I felt as if I had done something wrong when she clearly lacks all sense of customer service. I have worked with the public most of my life and have never been treated or treated anyone so poorly. I seriously regret not walking out right then and there and taking my money too! Finally, she starts painting my nails with an old looking white polish she had to go grab from a fridge in the back. I can finally feel this horrible experience coming to an end. But before I can finally get up and bolt out the door, she stands up, grabs me by the arm, stares down at me and says, "Wait! how much do you make? Do you get paid per hour or commission?" SERIOUSLY?!? I pretended to not understand, quickly grabbed my belongings and ran out the door. I went back to work and took the nail polish off immediately. Not only was it a shitty job but I was honestly afraid I would catch something weird after going in there. Never again. read more

Pretty much the worst nail experience I've ever had. I wondered why this place was always empty and today I found out. I came in for a fill and a polish change. First off, the lady who changed my color on my toes saw that the polish was extremely dried out and decided to paint it on anyways. Obviously it looks splotchy and uneven. Meanwhile, the other lady, who I assume is the manager, was attempting to do my fill. She doesn't clean out the dirt, nor does she do anything about my nails lifting. I asked her about it and she has me hop from the spa chair to the desk about 3 times and decides to just cut my nail under the acrylic. She was speaking nonstop in their native language to the other lady, which resulted in her telling me to sit back in the spa chairs so she could redo the polish change. The second job was not much better. She did not clean under my nails and every nail was filed unevenly. The nail polish was so old and thick that she couldn't even paint over my whole nail. Of course she's also in a hurry because she told a walk-in that she had time for her in 20 minutes after just starting my fill. No paint on the sides of my nails but somehow paint is everywhere else. So frustrated, I went to another nail salon to change the polish on both my finger nails and toes NEVER coming here again. read more

I have been coming here for over a year and have always had a good experience! She is smaller than other salons and doesn't have a large crew working there. Lee, the owner, is the most wonderful woman -- worth the visit just to spend time with her. I've been going for years and always feel so relaxed when i'm there because of Lee. She does a great job with nails, pedicures and waxing. And she has the best magazines. I get to catch up on my celebrity gossip when I'm there. Let me begin by saying I have never written a yelp review, but this experience was so god awful, i deemed in necessary. The only reason I am giving it one star is because it is required by Yelp to give at least one to give a review. My friend and I called ahead of time to make an appointment and get rates, I wanted Acrylic, she wanted Gel. We were told Acrylic was 30, and Gel was 25. When we arrive, there are two women working. However, there was only one that would do our nails, this resulted in the entire appointment being a whopping 3 hours. One of us waited for the other one to be done, while a perfectly capable employee took a nap in one of the chairs that looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the bush administration. This also resulted in our manicurist rushing to a point that my friend and I both left with polish all over our hands. This however isn't even the worst part. I had not even showed our manicurist the shape I wanted when she began shaping my nails. After the first hand was finished I looked at my acrylic nails and they were thick uneven, and one nail was so crooked, it literally pointed left. When I asked the lady if she could fix the shape and make them thinner, she proceeded to yell at my friend and I saying it would be five dollars extra because it was "special". I'm sorry I didn't know that being pleased with the shape of my nails would cost me extra- Kind of assumed that I could choose the way my nails looked without needing to pay more. At this point we just wanted out, so we just said screw it and let her do the crappy job (This is on hour two by the way). She spent the rest of the appointment complaining about how she hates doing acrylics and how 30$ for the job was way too low. She then pulled out a personal check a previous customer had given to her, threw at at me, and told me this is how much she is usually paid. At this point it is very clear she will not be tipped by neither me nor my friend (If the crappy job wasn't enough, her yelling at us pretty much assured we will pay the minimum). She then proceeded to guilt trip us, and telling us her brother died because of Acrylics (I'm sorry for her loss, but not the right time to tell us). By the end of the session she was practically begging us to come back. Then it came time to pay, as I said earlier she quoted my friend who had Gel 25. She then charged her 35. At this point we are so done we just pay and leave. Were absolutely returning - but only to get our money back. read more
