We rented a two bedroom condo on Olympia Fields (79834 Olympia Fields) in PGA West from Luxury Leasing from approximately Jan. 21 to March 1, 2024. The charge for the condo exceeded $10,000. This was the fifth time we had rented a condo in PGA West, but the first time we had rented from Luxury Leasing. Our previous four years were very positive experiences. Our experience with Luxury Leasing was a disaster. First, the positive: the view from this condo towards the back pond and vegetation is beautiful. Now the negatives. Our condo was literally overrun with bugs, including large cockroaches, during our entire stay. The first weekend we killed between 15 and 20 bugs, including cockroaches. We killed multiple bugs, including cockroaches, almost every day during the 40 days we were there. Cockroaches would greet us on the bedroom and kitchen floors when we turned the lights on in the morning. My wife opened a bathroom drawer to find a cockroach sitting on top of her toothbrush. Spiders crawled out from gaps under the kitchen counter where people sit and eat. To do our part to address this issue, we kept the kitchen clean, we left no dirty dishes anywhere, we left no food out, and we bagged all food in the cabinets. Additionally, at our expense, we paid to have a cleaning company clean the home thoroughly twice during our less than 6 week stay. Still the insect infestation persisted. Perhaps contributing to the condo being overrun with bugs, there are holes in one or more of the window/slidiing door screens and at least one of the sliding door screens doesn't close tightly, leaving a gap more than adequate for bugs to enter. We brought this insect problem to Luxury Leasing's attention numerous times. In response to our complaints and requests for assistance, they sent someone to spray the inside of the condo. It had little to no effect after a day or two. We continued to complain and a week or so before we departed they sent the spraying company back. Again, little to no relief. One of the individuals who came and sprayed said he didn't believe the unit was treated for insects on an ongoing basis, which is required to control insects and likely caused or contributed to the problem. Cockroaches are not just a nuisance; they enter a condo or home in part through sewer lines and toilets, carrying serious pathogens that cause disease. In any event, suffice it to say that this problem alone ruined our vacation. The problems with Luxury Leasing and this condo didn't stop with the bugs. There were urine and other stains on the mattress pad in the bedroom. There were blood stains and other spots of unknown origin on the sheets. We washed all the linens but the stains did not wash away. When the cleaners came that we paid for (who were recommended by Luxury Leasing), the cleaning woman told us when they see such issues in a condo, they tell the owner, but if the owner doesn't do anything about it, Luxury Leasing can't do anything else. Well, one thing that Luxury Leasing could do is disclose to its prospective clients that "hey, your condo isn't a 'luxury condo,' it is overrun with insects and there are urine, blood and other stains on the linens." When we paid for a second cleaning and after bringing the urine-stained mattress pad to the cleaner's attention, the cleaners replaced the urine-stained pad; however, we spent the remainder of our rental time sleeping on the other stained linens. To add insult to injury, on March 12, 2024, Luxury Leasing notified us that they were withholding $200 of our pet deposit to clean the carpets. I called and spoke with a woman in their office. I told her that the carpets were dirty when we arrived. Indeed, on Jan. 22, immediately after we arrived, we notified Luxury Leasing in writing that "the carpet, particularly on the landing at the top of the stairs, has numerous spots." We did this so Luxury Leasing wouldn't do what they ended up doing, look for an excuse to use our pet deposit to clean the carpet. The woman in the office told me on the phone that the contract clearly says a portion of the pet deposit WILL be used every time to clean the carpet. I told her I didn't think that was the case and she should read the contract. When she did during our call she admitted that I was right, but that there was nothing she could do. We intend to pursue whatever legal actions are necessary to recover what we are owed. read more

I would love to rate Luxury Leasing on an actual experience, but unfortunately after booking online the owner emailed (7 days later only because of a follow up email and a phone call asking if I was confirmed) informed me that the owner of the property I booked online rejected the price. This was the price set by the website--and I agreed to it. I will point out this is Coachella weekend, I understand that rates are high because it's a special event weekend which is why I even agreed to pay $6k. Also, because it's a "special weekend" I had to book a 7 night min. After booking, nothing. We didn't hear a thing. No automatic email from the website, no email from the company and no email from the owner. I emailed 3 days in because I was getting concerned and finally called a few days later. I spoke to Greg and he said we were all set and should be receiving confirmation moments after we hung up. Well, not only did we not receive confirmation, we received an email that the owner wanted $2k more for our stay. I was then told that Greg reserves the right to raise the price on us because it's a "special weekend." this is such bad form. I totally understand that prices are ungodly high for Coachella, but why do it like this? why not just set the price on the website. This is just bad business. This was the price set on your website, with your nightly minimum. Also, I can't for the life of me find this small print of where it states he can raise the price due to a special weekend. I downloaded the terms and conditions, every page on the website, and looked back at the listing. It's not on the home page either. Please tell me where it says that. They might feel like they mis-priced this house, but this is your mistake and you need to honor the price you provided--see photo. Also, I'll point out to the next person who's trying to book. If you want to book for the exact same days for Coachella weekend 2, don't be fooled. It's still says $6k - I looked this morning--see photo. It's not really common to go up to a register with a bottle of water and the cashier tell you that even though it's a set price by the store he feels this bottle is special so he's going to charge me two dollars more, but then again... read more

Having had rental property for 26 years in a Colorado ski town, I'm familiar with issues on both sides of the property rental equation. I'm not negating the 1-2 * comments, but very surprised compared to our experience. In 2022 we had been cancelled on by an AirBnB property owner, only to be re-offered months later, for about 30% higher than originally contracted. Greg found us a property at our budget! The office team, Rosie & Deb, were very helpful in numerous ways, from calls when a special package finally arrived, to having Mario (maintenance) make a minor repair. The Fyre Festival of vacation rentals... Now I'm in a bind because of Luxury Leasing. I reserved a great house. They accepted my reservation. Collected money. I sat back and relaxed for one week. This company confirmed the reservation, TOOK $3,000 and then decided they wanted to raise the price by an extra $2,000!! Communication was terrible, it took 6 days to get a confirmation and then once confirmed, Gregg retracted the reservation and said he reserved the right to change the price at any time. There was no apology or attempt at a solution, just a "see ya suckers" mentality. I learned a lesson to always stick with Airbnb where they have great customer service and protections for instances like these. I have just booked for the third season through Luxury Leasing. I have had excellent experience with them. The first year, the unit I choose was at PGA West where the gas heater started to leak. They called to gas company immediately and when it was clear the unit was malfunctioning they identified an alternate unit in PGA and helped us to move -- all in a matter of hours. I have found all the units to be accurately represented in the listings -- including photos. The housekeeping service they use is excellent and their maintenance man -- Mario -- is terrific. Quick response to minor items that arose (failing light switch, for example). I see reviews that say prices were changed after the deposit was paid. I have NOT encountered anything like that. Price I agreed a YEAR in advance was the price I paid -- both years. I recommend them. read more

Just like other reviews, this company is out to take your money! We rented a condo for a serious event. After we left, Gregg, and his 'President and Manager' Jean, and their 'Housekeeper Inspector' let us know that we broke cabinets, stained carpets (which they want to charge $160), drank alcohol(why would they leave alcohol anyway), and moved furniture. None of this happened and they are trying to extort money from us for cleaning that didn't need to happen. We did not leave the house in the condition that they allege. PROPERTY OWNERS BEWARE.....We had our property listed with Luxury Leasing for one rental season and was very upset with the results. First of all, I do not think they did a background check on our tenant. He could pay the monthly rent and was able to give the $1000 deductible. He had a valid credit card that worked was all they looked at. We had requested non-smoking, and the tenant did not smoke in the house but was a smoker. Communication between us and Luxury Leasing was poor most of the time. They would call when they needed something but did not seem to follow up with us if there were questions from us. About 2 months into our tenants 4 month agreement we started getting calls that our hot tub was not being cared for properly by our spa company that was servicing it weekly. Rosy from Luxury Leasing did call the tenant and tried to get this resolved but to no avail. Jean Bandolini (manager) looked us right in the face and said as long as the tenant is paying they can do whatever they want with the hot tub. Respect for our property was not a factor. We paid for weekly cleanings. But found later later the tenant had asked the cleaning crew to do the kitchen and great room only. We were never told differently. We were still charged for a full weekly cleaning. When the tenant vacated our property it took a cleaning crew (2people) eight hours to clean our place. Our tenant was a young man who had numerous parties and our house was disgusting dirty. We had assumed all along the the bathrooms were at least being cleaned weekly. But NO! I have to give the cleaning crew credit as to what it started at like they had it about 85 percent clean at the end of 8 hours. That was all the cleaning that was done though. Unfortunately, Luxury Leading did nothing to clean up the outside of the house at all. We had trash overflowing the trash cans with magets. A broken vace along with beer bottles were thrown on the side of the house. Our patio area was littered with cigarette buds. All of that has fallen on to us to clean up. At the exit walk through a maintance man was sent out with no inventory list, no paper or anything to write with. Not sure how he was going to know what things were missing or write down anything that needed fixed but thankfully my husband had flown half way across the country to do the walk through with Luxury Leading. My husband was pointing things out to the maintance man. He did take pictures of the damaged items with his phone. We are missing items...laundry baskets, clothes hangers, paring knifes, bath mats along with stained towels and shredded rugs. Normal wear and tear items. We have a leather couch the has a rip in it and a leather recliner that also has been ripped on the side. Jean (manager) has also said that is normal wear and tear also so no fixing that with the deposit either. We have a patio chair and our spa cover have cigarette burns in them. Even though we had requested a non smoker. Jean (manager) looked right at us and said "it's a small whole" and thought it ridiculous that we needed a new spa cover. Mind you our spa cover was less than a year old. Rosy did help us out using the $1000 deposit to replace the burnt patio chair, a new spa cover, the broken lamp and floor vace. But when our damages went over that well Jean stepped in and everything was "normal wear and tear"! Under Jean's description all damages fall into the category of "normal wear and tear". We were looking for a leasing company to look out for us and to keep our property well maintained since we live in a different state. Luxury Leasing is not the company! They are out to make $$$$ only. Very disappointed that they do not stand behind the property owner. read more

I was tasked with organizing a reunion for 3 couples and needed to rent a home in the Palm Desert area. I looked at several agencies and found that Luxury Leasing had the best choice of properties so I started the process. I dealt with Rosy there, who said she had been at Luxury for 11 years. She was open, honest and responsive to my needs in every way, even phoning the owners of one property to ask a special request that I had. She was perfect in every way, and, once she learned my particular needs for the week, made solid property recommendations, and even steered me away from others that would not have been suitable for me. I recently leased through Luxury Leasing for the Coachella Music Festival. We have attended the festival for the last 3 years and always rent a condo or house. This was our first time leasing through Luxury and I have to say I won't ever again. Firstly I will say that the location of the condo was great and so was the communal pool. Biking to the venue was important and so was having a relaxing pool and spa. This place definitely fulfilled those needs. However, the property was very dated and had no wifi. There was a modem there that fortunately I could plug my Mac into to access the net, I had to take turns at this with my other friends who also needed to work on and off during our stay. The linen was so old I felt like I had time traveled back to 1989. The pillows were thin and well used, it was gross! For the money we paid, surely they can head to Ross and purchase new pillows and linen. It's the 21st century, c'mon now! I also had a beach towel stolen from a resident and I have not heard back from the luxury leasing agent for weeks after sending them an email complaining and asking for their help in its return. We rented a home in PGA West for the Desert Trip weekend at the Coachella Venue. House was nice and except for no manual on how to work the spa and audio/video (we figured it out) it was a pleasant experience and a short drive to the festival. The problem is that upon return of our security deposit they deducted $90 for "spot" cleaning of the carpet in the Master BR. When we arrived to the home the carpet cleaners had just left, leaving a lot of the BR furniture stacked in the bathrooms. That was not the issue. We did not spill anything in the bedroom and they just had the carpets done. We are all successful professionals and are responsible people. We would have gladly paid for any damage we might have caused, but we did not do any damage. No luck in speaking with them. The money isn't that big of a deal, it's the idea of being taken advantage of. Shortsighted on their part as we hope to go again next year and won't use them.
