I tried Luxury Nail located at the promenade today. I asked for a Spa Mani-Pedi, including dip for my nails. Apparently, I was placed with a young man in training because I received the worst nail service that I have ever had. With me asking him not to use the electric file on my cuticles, he said "You like" & kept right on tearing my cuticles with it & did not stop even with me shaking my head & saying NO! He also filed each nail crooked. The management came over & said "he will fix it", walked off & never came back to see if he did. All that being bad enough bad, the dip stuff is stuck on my fingers & the dip on my nails has started to peel. PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY & TIME. read more

I requested American manicure and pedicure. I got all white pedicure. Mentioned but they said it was a language barrier and they could fix but that's additional hour which I didn't have. The polish from pedicure started chipping shortly after leaving. Gel nails are ok thus far. I noticed they cater to frequent customers although they didn't realize I take my elderly mom here every 2-weeks for manicure and sometimes pedicures. I used to love this place! But I will not be going back! I will no longer be suggesting it to anyone! I got a manicure ( dip) and a pedicure. I got it done yesterday and my toe nail polish (gel) is already coming off... My biggest complaint is that he hurt me... he made my toes bleed and cut me on multiple fingers one of them is pretty bad. They are so sore today it's hard to do anything without hitting them. I did ask short nails maverick had a nail tech do what he did. ( and I always ask for short nails). He made them thin ( in width) to the point of cutting into my nail bed with the nail file. He also took the Dremel to my cuticles ( it was the rougher tip) so now I've got cuts where my cuticles meet my nail. I'm very disappointed. I asked multiple times if he could make them short, but he kept taking more off the sides... I now have oval nails, which I didn't start with. I should go back and make them fix it,but he shaved so much off the sides I don't think they could do anything. And I don't feel like getting hurt again. He didn't even ask what shape I wanted. Just assumed I wanted an oval shape. The same thing happened to my sister... so I know it's not just me! Just a warning! I went to get eyebrow wax and acrylic nails with gel. The lady that waxed my eyebrow wasn't pleasant. she took to much off, I have natural thick eyebrows. I have back problems and asked if she could let the seat up a little she immediately said no. And just gave me a towel to elevate my head. Then got my nails done and they were out of the polish I wanted. They put two coats from bottom of bottle on my nails. Then they overcharged me! That's because they wanted me to try the new organic dip polish and I said no. One word to describe this place or the job they do is: TERRIBLE! They charge way too much for what they're giving. I've given them a couple changes but I just don't seem to be pleased and honestly, I'm a very easy pleaser. At least when it comes to pedicures. I had to go through the steps with the guy so he can do everything on me. As if I was teaching him how to do pedicures. My toes look like a 5 year old did them. Literally I could have done a better job. Never returning ever again! As soon as we got there they kept telling us to get in the chair without even picking out the color. This place was referred to me and I agree with some of the other reviewers. It's all about how fast you can get in and out and getting a few extra bucks. The experience wasn't as relaxing as I had hoped. I had an appointment but the place was packed, but we were seated within 5 mins after our appointment time, which was nice, but then we were just sitting there. It was my daughter's first time getting a pedicure and the lady who handled her wasn't friendly at all. (That upset me more than my daughter) She was upset that my daughter just wanted her toes painted and not clipped and groomed. She's a bit young for all that stuff and if she was going to do all that stuff, I'd bring my own stuff. They lady got upset at her for splashing the water outside but to her defense, she's a child and the water was filled to the top. =/ That lady ended up leaving and another lady helped her after 15-20 minutes. The lady who gave her a foot massage and painted her toes was nice. The nail job was just ok. However, Tim the guy who was answering calls and had a headset on was very friendly and nice. I went to this place and asked for a dip manicure. As soon as I sat down the lady just started immediately painting my nails and did not even give me a manicure. They did not do my cuticles or anything and charged me the same price. Will not be going here again. My nail tech also got up and walked around in the middle of my nail appointment and kept answering the phone which caused her to pause on my nails. She never even spoke one word to me. I paid $50 to get dip nails here. The nail tech wouldn't even change out the towel that was underneath me, it had the previous persons clipped nails and I pointed it out and he folded the towel. The nail color turned out not to be the same as the color I picked out (see pics), but no one seemed to care. 2 nails broke a few days later and I went back in to get them fixed today. They asked me 3 times if I got them done somewhere else, in an accusing manner (it was very strange), and I explained repeatedly no - I got them done there and had the exact color for them because I previously took a picture when I was choosing. A lady fixed my nails then when they were done said have a nice day and waived to me bye as I walked out. Shortly after while shopping in the promenade, they chased me down screaming at me and saying "I walked out without paying." Treated me like a criminal. First of all - she told me I was good to leave, waived goodbye, watched me walk out and walked off. Second of all: What nail salon doesn't fix the nails they did, that were flimsy and broke? They charged me an additional $10 for fixing 2 nails. So now $60 + tip down the drain for ridiculous service. I've been coming here for years, but I will not be back. *update* I love how there is a review from a few weeks ago of someone saying they fixed her nails for free. Why was I treated differently? I had an appointment scheduled at 1pm...got started early at 12:45...and didn't leave the salon til after 4pm. I asked for ombré, but apparently they only have certain techs who can do ombré. So after waiting for someone to get around to me, I told them I wanted orange ombré on my nails.... apparently they couldn't do that. So I chose a burgundy and dark taupe for Fall so it would easily blend. But somehow it turned out the colors were actually orange [thought they couldn't do orange] and pink. I mentioned it to the nail tech and he told me...twice...that it would turn out darker. Well...it didn't. And there went my $60. Not to mention the nails didn't even turn out to be ombré because they're barely blended. Headed to a different place tomorrow to get them fixed. I loved going in for my mani/pedi they knew exactly what I wanted and when I asked for the square round french manicure they did an awesome job. My mother and I went in on Saturday the day before Easter with an appt. but they were very busy. We were called back within a few minutes and got started with our pedicures. It took longer than usual for them to get started on us but it was Easter weekend so it twas understandable. Once they got started we had a great time, they offer free soft drinks, wine or water or you can bring your own soft drink. They are very busy, so I would recommend having an appointment before you go. I would highly recommend them to everyone, but they are a bit pricey, but do an excellent job.....well worth the price. read more

This has got to be the worst nail spa located in one of the best locations. Is there anything lower than a 1 Star? There, I said it. The customer service is horrendous. The last time I went there a few months ago, was the last time I'll ever set foot near that place. I have had several bad experiences. This one was the final straw. I have never been yelled at by someone I was seeking services from before this. When I get shellac, acrylic or dip I always want it somewhat natural looking. As for my job, I can not have nails that are fake. I was getting my nails done before a trip and thought I would do a soft orange and have them shape my nail into an almond/natural look. Well. The guy starts painting and they are NEON. Which was absolutely not the color I picked. No big deal, I asked if I could switch. He was offended and said that it will look softer at the end. He refused to change the color. I trusted him and am thinking "oh well, no big deal". Then he starts shaping my nail...I asked if he could please soften it probably over 4 times. He wasn't listening I guess? I have no idea. Finally, he got upset and started yelling at me. Apparently my "finger nails are crooked" or "I didn't ask for a natural look originally", "I can't keep talking to him". Long story short, the guy took over 2 hours. I finally asked if I could leave, saying he did good job and trying to encourage him saying they looked great (although, I was extremely dissatisfied and frustrated). He had such a temper and was so stubborn he didn't even look at me as I handed him $30 tip for the simple fact that I felt bad for him. I now regret that lol, but in the moment I was shocked and appalled just wanting to get out of there. Long story short. I have heard from several friends, similar experiences. The workers are not well trained and customer service is not prioritized at this place. read more

I came here a few times about 6 months ago and it was great, but now nothing special. Honestly I was surprised at how down hill it had gone. My pedicure was over in 20 min and no-one was waiting. I would have understood if they were busy, but they weren't. I was extremely disappointed with my results! I got a shellac mani. My nails actually looked really good so I tipped the guy 20$ and 20$ for the woman that did my moms-but my nails chipped only a few hours after I left the salon. I was evacuated from Irma and I've been staying at a friends house so I'm an hour and half away from the salon so I waited until the next day to fix them, which they did for free of course, once again I tipped him,only 10$ this time. And again, I woke up the next day and had 2 more chipped! As I said above I jus got to Arkansas so I haven started a job so it's not like I'm doing anything to make them chip, it was just poor quality or maybe the guy just didn know what he was doing? So one more time I decided to get them fixed and if they chipped again after the 3rd time then I was going to make them start over and have someone else do them or just give me a refund, I was already in 70$ for me n moms nails, and 50$ worth of tips!! Well, I woke up that next morning and 4 of my nails were chipped!!! No joke!!! I was extremely upset but as much as I wanted to go raise heck up there I decided to just let it be and go somewhere else, and of course write my thoughts of this place on yelp so people will know before they spend their hard earned money at a place like "luxury nail spa" they should have called it "inferior nail spa" lol-I hate writing bad reviews but I want to let people know what they will get if they go there ! I went there to get a wax and wish I had never walked into this place. The girl who was waxing got the wax EVERYWHERE!!!! All on my clothes in my hair, everywhere. It took about 20 mins of her scrubbing oil through my hair to get some of it out. She didn't speak English very well so she wasn't telling me what was happening. All I heard was an oops and her leave the room to get help. She got half of my chin and not even my full neck. This is the first time in my life I have not tipped someone.
