All the bowls have liners, which is VERY important for me because I have cancer and need to have clean things. The staff was very friendly, the massage I got was outstanding (I almost fell asleep). I've had my nails done at a wide range of salons. Luxury Nails was recommended to me when I was admiring a co-worker's nails. Man, oh man. THE BEST. I had Kenny do my nails today and I had already started thanking him before he finished. He really listened to me and made sure I was happy the whole time. Very professional, very thorough and (not even exaggerating) the best manicure I've ever had. I got a full set with SNS, which is kind of like gel but it's supposed to be healthier for your nails. It stands up really well to wear and tear. The other employees are really friendly and I watched them clean much more thoroughly than I've noticed at other salons. This is a decent nail salon that I have just recently found. I went in on a Wednesday afternoon at 5pm and they got me right in. Only took an hour to do an acrylic fill and gel polish. I definitely felt like they were hustling as far as time frame goes. Overall pleased with their work. They have a load of nail polishes to choose from. Family run shop that is clean, busy and whose quality is consistently awesome. I have been coming to this shop for a few years to have my manis and pedis. There is always a wait because they are very popular. I either get there 15 mins before opening so I am one of the firsts or I make an appointment. Yes, they do have a kid, she's about 11, working there. She is the owners daughter. It isn't child labor like the another reviewer mentioned. She is there in the summer while school is out. She also is there after school. Asian culture is to have kids help their parents, and it's fine not at all negative like previously mentioned. I had a paper route at that age and would have much preferred working inside than dragging 70 newspapers 2 miles away to deliver in the cold, heat, rain and snow. I turned out fine. This is your run of the mill strip mall nail place. Nothing special, nothing bad. It was clean, the people were friendly and the price was right. I paid $25 for a pedicure... They're open until 7 pm (last appointment is at 6:30 pm) and closed on Sundays. They opened the door for 2 people who were after 6:30 pm but just needed a couple of touch-ups and/or fills. It does smell like that horrible fake nail glue chemical so if you're sensitive, beware. I definitely wouldn't come back for a treat (aka time away from the kids to relax) but would definitely hit it up in a hurry... It's next to CiCis in the mall next to Walmart. read more

I made an appointment for 12:00pm, they got me right in for my pedicure, which was mediocre, but the toe nails look great. Then it was time for my manicure. I sat and waited about 15 min before someone came back over to me to tell me it will be a bit longer, granted they were busy, but I was patient. Then the owner came over to do my manicure. He was scatter brained, he didn't know where things we're and stopped several times to talk to other people. He did a half a$$ manicure, barely getting the dead skin off the edges of the nails, and then did the French tip as I requested. Half my nails were painted crooked and some of them had random white brush strokes that he didn't "clean up". He rushed through it all pretty quickly and at the end he said "I'm so sorry I had to rush the manicure we're so busy, hopefully next time you come in I can do them better", as in he knew he didn't do a good job. I felt like i was just another customer they could rush through their doors. And now to top it off three days later 2 of my supposedly "gel" nails are chipping. Biggest waste of $100 (including tip) I ever spent. read more

I just had my pink and white nails filled here. I looked at my nails and I was so upset that they were not done the same. The color on my tips and not even close to the same size, he didn't even seem to care, did not offer to fix his mistake or take anything off. He was more concerned with getting to the next customer, was not even going to use the correct time and I guess we only use lotion and oil when he feels like it. I have tried this salon after it has changed owners and every time I go, I am so unhappy with the work this gentleman does. He has awful customer service. I guess I have learned my lesson. Will never go back to this place. There are 3 other saloons in Lockport that are some much friendlier, I would go there. read more

I REALLY GIVE THIS PLACE A ZERO!!!!! Wanted my daughter to have pretty fingers and toes for the first day of school and decided to pamper myself a little. Wish I would have RUN from this place when I read A FB post from earlier that day, but like an idiot I didn't. I thought we're already halfway through it will be ok. WRONG!!! The woman doing my pedicure used a razor scraper (something I agreed to because the calluses on my heels were awful) which she had to go to the back room to get. I'm fairly sure it is AGAINST HEALTH CODE to use these awful tools. The picture below shows my heels now. She sliced one of my heels open and scraped the skin off in about three spots on the other. The pain when I walk is almost unbearable. I had super cushioned sandals on when I got up from the chair so I didn't realize how bad it was until I got home and tried to walk barefoot. I'm WARNING EVERYONE DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!! It is dirty and disgusting. I realized when I was leaving not a SINGLE tech had a license posted. I truly hope this craphole gets closed down!!! I tried Luxury Nails earlier this week for the first time, eager to find a local nail salon. The woman who did my nails was very nice and overall provided a good mani pedi. The issue....the cleanliness of the salon. The massage control unit had broken and worn buttons so much so that you could not read the buttons. At the sink station the backdrop behind the sink is raw drywall. The nail brush (1 for everyone to share) was sitting in a dish in that the cleanser had dried up. The surface of the nail station was dirty and even included a leftover water bottle from the previous customer, who was probably offered water, I was not. The towels were worn. Tools were on a tray which was laid on the floor during a pedicure. While sitting at the drying station I noticed the windows were filthy and the tops of the garbage cans were even dirty. This place needs a GOOD cleaning! read more

Have been here 3 times. They did a nice job on my dip manicure (Louis was GREAT) but I just can't get past the filth. There is dust covering EVERYTHING! And the plastic tub liners for pedicures kind of freak me out... is scrubbing clean and sanitizing too difficult? It makes me wonder about the cleanliness of their tools. I've gone to this shop since it opened with the original owners and was used to their high standard of cleanliness. I will not be returning. So sad! read more

The staff is friendly and so fun as well as they give discounts for loyalty members which you don't actually have to join they are just really great at recognizing faces. This place started off on the wrong foot. I had made an appointment for four pedicures (one ended up cancelling). Two of us arrived on time, one was running a little late. When we entered, there were no other customers there. The two of us that were there began looking at nail polish colors. After about 10 mins, one of the employees (not sure if owner or manager?) began speaking to us very abrasively saying "How much longer is it going to be until your other person gets here?" "We need to get started." "This is a business." While I get it...we had someone running late...there was NO ONE else there. And even if there had been other people there, she was right...it IS a business and I am a PAYING customer so she could have approached the situation much more politely. As for the actual pedicure, it was done well but it felt very rushed and not relaxing at all. The actual employee doing my pedicure was polite and friendly and that's the only reason I gave this place two stars instead of one. When the pedicure was finished they rushed us over to the drying station even though there were still no other people getting pedicures there. People did start arriving about 15 minutes later and then we had to wait about 30 minutes total for them to bring us the bill. As for the overall ambiance, it's just one open room with no sectioning so there's no privacy or relaxing feel. Also, the woman who approached us initially (rudely) had her young son there who was walking around freely and being a typical child approaching customers and being noisy. This IS a business (as she so kindly pointed out earlier) and a place that people go to to relax, not a daycare. read more

Worst nail experience. We made appointments a week beforehand for manicures and pedicures for my wedding, when we got there we all sat for over 20 minutes before any of us were serviced and every staff member seemed extremely annoyed we were all there. During all our pedicures our cuticles were cut and bleeding. During my nail service (mind you I was the bride) I showed a picture of what I wanted, a extremely neutral light pink with silver glitter at the bottom. The man who was doing my nails must have never used no chip paint before, my nails were so bubbly and awful looking that I had him take it off. He then would not have someone else finish the gel, but insisted on giving me a dip manicure. Since I had already been there three hours, I agreed to it because at that point I was already going to be late for my own rehearsal. He asked if I wanted the same color, and I said yes. Thirty minutes later, I looked at my nails and they were a bright peachy pink. Not at all what I wanted. Also, three of my fingers were bleeding and during the dip and he continued to stick them in the dip pot that everyone uses, made me think about how unsanitary the dip process actually is. So four hours later, I finally was about to leave. They chased me and my mom down for an extra ten dollars because he had to take the messed up gel off (my mom had already paid for my nails) and were extremely rude. I would never recommend this place to anyone. If the lack of respect and appointments doesn't do it for you, think about them sticking my blending cuticles into a dip pot that everyone uses. This is the only nail salon I go to ever since I moved out to Lockport. The atmosphere is very clean and everyone there is extremely nice. My nails always turn out great. One time I was rushing to catch a flight and they made sure I left on time with perfectly painted nails. I'd give this place 10 stars if I could. read more

DO NOT COME HERE. TERRIBLE experience. Picked a light pink color for my nails (I have been coming here twice a month every 5 months & tip very nice for I am a bartender and know how it is) sat down and the lady started working on my nails then when it came time to paint them she opened the color said it was too dry and to pick a new one. I picked a different shade of light pink & she told me she didn't like that brand and to pick a new one. I picked a different shade of light pink on a different color thing & she said okay. Sat back down and she again opened the container, looked at it and said it was "sold out". Handed me a color wheel and told me to pick again and then she said she could get me one of the light pinks I originally picked. Took an extra 30 minutes painting my nails and in the meantime every employee present walked up to my chair to "complement" my color choice. Will never go back and will tell all my friends to never come here. Completely unprofessional and inappropriate considering the lady told me each color I picked was dried up or sold out instead of saying she didn't feel like doing that many layers because it's a light color. read more

Customer service is great. Much friendlier than the place around the corner. Prices are average $35 mani/peid. It's nice to walk into a nail salon and see teamwork. They work together to make sure everyone that comes in gets taken care of. Pedi was great. Chairs massage and flower design on toe was best I've seen. Mani was great. And yes, they have some young girls that help but they are family. It's a family place where everyone helps out. The young girl is not 7 she's a teenager. I've been going here for years to get my pedi done, until last month when I got a Staph Infection. I was nicked while having the pedi done and over a week span it had gotten really infected. I went back to show them through the week week the progress of it. After the second visit I asked for my money back and at first they said they couldn't because it could have been infected prior to pedi. After a few looks were exchanged I was then told they will refund me but I cant get service done there anymore. Who ever thinks like that in the first place is not a professional and doesn't seem to care about the customers. I ended up going to the Dr. to have it drained and put on antibiotics. Needless to say I am scared from receiving pedicures from anywhere else. read more

I finally found my new FABULOUS French nails and pedicure home! After moving here to the Chicago and Lockport areas two years ago from Texas, I've been forever searching for a great nail place like I had enjoyed in Texas. I had visited many places, given them more than one opportunity here and there, and finally ended up just "settling" for whatever somewhat decent nail care I could find. I was about to give up, until FINALLY I was referred to this AMAZING shop. Upon my consultation with Crystal, she immediately knew what I was hoping and asking for, and not only that - she had the same suggestions that I was used to with my excellent service back in Texas! And, Crystal was soOOOOoOo FAST! I received the most meticulous pedicure, too! I told Crystal I'll never let her go, now! I am not one to write reviews nor am I someone who would ever return to a place to complain about unhappy service but after my recent visit I feel I must write how awful my service was. I am truly upset and disappointed, I have been going to Luxury nails for around 3 years not once have I had any issues. However there has been a change at luxury everyone there is new and the old owners seem to be gone. The new management is awful, I got my nails painted NO-CHIP MANICURE on Thursday and it literally started to chip that night.. honestly 6 out of my 10 nails had chipped and not little chips half the polish was off my nails. I had work the next day and could not return to get them fixed till Saturday. I walked in Saturday very politely seeing the same guy who was there Thursday and showed him my nails. He told me to pick a color, and said if I choose the same color its no charge but if I choose a different color I have to pay $15.. First off it is not my problem my nails are chipping obviously that polish was bad or my nails weren't done the right way. Secondly why would it matter if I were to choose another color obviously I do not want a color that is going to chip the same day like the last color. And lastly being a manager you should be completely embarrassed that a long time paying customer has to come back with all their nails chipped and you're still going to charge them for a mistake made by the company. I will never be back to luxury, that was unprofessional. These people do not care about their customers they eat on the job and their always on their phones its so unprofessional. I wound up telling the guy that I do not want this color it is no good it is just going to chip. He said then I charge 15 for color change. I responded with I'll take my business somewhere else.
