I will give this nail salon a zero if I could. First, they are very expensive for the service you get. I had a French manicure. I let the service provider know that my nails are very thin. Instead of sanding the surface manually, she sanded the surface using an electric filer. She filed down so much that hurt my nails. I let her know that my nail was hurt, she was unapologetic and said that I was fine. She used low quality gel to perform the task. Her skill of French manicure was poor. The final results shown here that the nails looked unnatural and uneven. The hand massage was inadequate. She only put very little moisturizer on my hand and didn't do a thorough massage. Overall, the service was unsatisfactory, and the French manicure was poor. I would recommend to stay away from this place. read more

Today was our first time here. Not only is this establishment new and clean but they are running a 30% off promotion for every service. My mother and I both had Deluxe Pedicures and they did a wonderful job. They took their time, and was very thorough. Love: I absolutely love that you can make an appointment online. I can be up late and decide I need to self-care, go online and book an appointment for the following day. First time visiting this salon and based on the mixed reviews, more good than bad in my opinion, I was willing to try them out. I asked for Anh when I called to schedule my appointment but she wasn't in today. So Ni did my nails. It was nice & quit other than the tranquil melodies in the background which I love when having a "ME" moment. Ni was pretty gentle & efficient, it irked me a bit when I had to ask for another coat of gel polish because it wasn't as solid as it should've been...but Ni happily obliged. The little hand massage she gave me at the end almost put me to sleep! Overall it was a nice, unrushed experience. Just...NO! I went on Friday fir a pedicure and wax (eyebrows). Toes were good until some sort of oil was out on ad I was leaving--destroyed the polish. But, that is not the worse. My left eye was hurting and the next morning I saw why! While there are wax BURNS on both eyes, I should have figured it out after the woman who serviced me literally slathered lotion on my face and hurried me out! The burn n the left eye is pronounced (See Photo). My dermatologist recommended something to get rid of the pain and help the burned skin shed. He will work with me to restore skin (serious discoloration) after this whole shedding process ends. Meanwhile, I look terrible and makeup burns and won't blend. I've called the salon 3 times and been hung up on each time after explaining my problem. If I were in town, I would've gone back there in person. Needless to say, Luxury Nails will hear from my attorney. Perhaps them they will respond? #Burned read more

Wish I could do zero stars for this place, because they don't even deserve one. I just went in quickly to get my powder nails removed, and they absolutely destroyed my nails. I pride myself in having strong nails, even when the powder or gel coat gets removed. But Luxury nails broke three of my nails in the process, and used the buffer machine to make my nails the thinnest they have ever been. The woman used the largest grain nail file I have ever seen and it tore the tips of my nails completely off. For the simpliest nail procedure, they did the worst possible job. Quite the opposite of "luxury" nails. Not very luxurious. Absolutely do not go here. read more

We moved to the area in June and I have been looking for a place to get a pedicure at, and after many misses, I have finally found it. Their instruments are sterilized and the staff is professional. The location is clean and very well kept. My pedicure was on point and my nails and feet finally look presentable again. I am on my feet a considerable amount of time and I also run so my feet take a beating consistently. My manicure (not as often) was also great and my hands feel ready for the world. I'm writing this review after my third visit to this salon. The first 2 times I got the older lady (I'm assuming she's Ahn) and she was lovely. Very sweet and thorough. This last I visited with my mother in law and got a younger girl. I wanted a pedicure and advised her while she was taking the paint off that I had a big toe nail that was broke and let her know it would need fixed. Assuming she knew what she was doing I didn't pay much attention to exactly what she was doing (my fault). She took off all the glue from the nail and simply painted over it. A day later and I was fearful my toe nail was going to rip off and it was very close to the skin. Only 4 days after my pedicure and I'm at another salon getting the nail fixed and a new paint job. To add insult to injury a older gentleman (who I presume was the owner) walked in during my pedicure. The girl who was completing my pedicure kept stopping to answer the phone and book appt. after the gentleman came in, he never answered the phone, but continued to allow my service to be interrupted to create more business. The older lady is worth the visit, but sadly I won't be back. I'm not a happy camper. read more

The lady who did my pedicure was sloppy and when I pointed out the areas she needed to clean up, she quickly said OK OK to cut me off as if she already knew. Then why tell me I'm finished if you already know? I had a different lady for the powder dip French manicure. Day 3 and it's apparent that she did not cover my nails with the bonder which is needed to make sure that the powder adheres adequately and doesn't start peeling so soon after paying so much to have them done. Not sure how they have such great reviews. This is my second and last time here and I will surely will not return. read more

The management has changed since the last time I wrote the review. The service was not as good as before. I went in for a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. The person who did my nails used her own nails to remove the spills of the nail polish from my cuticle. I didn't quite understand what was happening during the manicure, but then it became obvious right after. The polish was far away from the cuticle, as if the manicure was a week old. I don't think this type of application is hygienic or cute, so I won't be back. read more

This is my third time coming here to luxury nails and each and every time I leave very happy. Ann is great! For Halloween she gave me skull nails which everyone loves and the second time I got hello kitty nails which were awesome and this time around just doing classic French. Honestly this is one of the best places I have used, very clean and extremely friendly staff. I used to enjoy this salon before covid-19, but they closed down since the strip mall was doing renovations, as well. I have since moved to Lux Nails for you in the Kentlands. I decided to see if Luxury Nails was again open and wanted to see Vee. It is now open, but completely new staff and management. I came in and the man (Orville or something was his name) took my appt. I asked for Vee and he said they are all gone. Well, what a shame. I had the worst experience. He was a little rough and impatient. I chose a color and the other salon experts would do one nail and ask if I like the color. He did both hands and was busy on phone but then looked and said, 'oh, no, not sure I like it." He said, "well why are you surprised, you picked it." It was really rude and I decided not to continue to question it. Then when he was almost finished, I looked at nails and he didn't even do the gel all the way up to the cuticle or skin. It looked like my new nails were a week or two old, having grown out some. It looked TERRIBLE. he seemed surprised but said he would paint over it. I should not have to review the nails over and over to correct things and when I can tell someone is rude, I just cut the conversation and just never come back. So this was my third visit here in my quest for a new nail salon in the area since my old tech is no longer in service :(. After checking out the other great reviews I decided to give a try especially since it was close to my job and I can visit during lunch. Each time has been pleasant, quick and very professional. Anyhow I came in tonight during a quick break and asked if It were possible to get a fill in 30 mins. Anh took me immediately and suggested gel polish since it dries almost immediately.. although a little more it's definitely worth it. I wish I had a before picture hahaa so you could see how tragic my nails were. Anh went to work and performed surgery on my nails and managed to have me out of the shop with beautiful perfectly shaped nails in 40 mins. I'll be back for chrome nails in a few weeks. Amazing customer service and before moving on to each step with my nails I was constantly asked if I liked it and if it was ok to proceed. Complete customer satisfaction for sure! I got an acrylic full set with gel polish. Price was really good ($45)! Unfortunately the acrylic is SO thick and not filed down well at all. Also, my fingers hurt for a full 24 hours after my appointment. Not sure if it was because the nails are so thick or if they filed my actual nails down way too far before putting the acrylic on, but either way they were pretty sore. Also they had very limited colors available to chose from. Lastly, I had to correct my technician multiple times because she was shaping my nails super unevenly. I am not a picky person, in fact I've never stopped any nail technician to fix something before, but this was very noticeable. I won't be going back. read more

They did a decent job on my feet, but based on the previous reviews I would have expected a little higher quality of service. There were only two people working, (and I'm not sure if that's the norm) but they actually told someone to "come back later" in a kind of rude way while I was there. The woman who did my pedicure was sort of rushed, and didn't really do much exfoliating or massaging. Then she talked on the phone the whole time I was paying, and while she was giving someone else a manicure. That must have been annoying for that person. I think they just need to work on their professionalism/manners. But like I said, I wasn't disappointed in the quality of my finished pedicure, so I would maybe give them another chance. I've been going to this nail salon since I moved here one year ago. It is close to work and I could always go in during the week as a walk-in right after work. A tad pricey, but worth the convenience and service/job well done. The longest I waited was once for about 20 minutes, but that was no problem to me. They recently became under new management back in February 2018. I was sad to see the two ladies I was used to working with were no longer there after the transition although they both did excellent work! The folks with the new management are just as nice, but only 1 of them did an excellent job on acrylic nails. The others either don't know how so didn't or didn't do it well. This brings me to my most recent and ultimately last visit...I went on my normal Tuesday after work and there wasn't anyone waiting. The 3 folks working had people so I figured it would be a wait. But no. I was just asked to come back tomorrow with no explanation or anything and they still had nearly 2 hours until closing so it wasn't like I came right at the end. I was shocked by this statement given that I've been a regular and great tipper for some time now. The prior ownership never turned folks away, they just gave an estimated time if there was a wait. Unfortunately, I've seen the new management turn people away without explanation or offering a wait time on multiple occasions. I just assumed it wouldn't happen to me...silly me for assuming. As a tip to the owners....just offer a wait time whatever it may be and people will make their own decision if they want to wait or leave. I would have waited. However, since the next day wasn't an option for me, I went to a nail salon by my house, which turned out to stay open longer, have way more people working, was cheaper, and did a wonderful job while providing good service. So no need to return to luxury nails anymore. read more

As I continue my quest to try all of the nail salons in the area, I came with Pooja K and another friend to Luxury Nails for a pedicure. They had 3 people working very hard to accommodate 5 people in the salon. The wait was not too bad, and they managed to get all three of us out at about the same time, even though two of us only got pedicures and one of us got a mani/pedi combo. On sanitation, I give them a 3 - they do use clean tools, but some things here or there made me cringe a little. Still, nothing that was alarming. Walking out of here, my feet were definitely smoother than they usually are after a pedicure, and I didn't even spring for the paraffin treatment! It took 4-5 requests before someone FINALLY was able to do a design for me, but it came out beautiful and everyone loves my nails. All in all, nice, well-priced and relatively clean. read more
