1st time here..and LAST. Service was rushed and technique used was not professional. Could have done a better job at home myself. One price listed online, a different one charged- $20 more. Asked why, but not able to explain. Just ignored the question. Was told to pay the amount BEFORE the service was done. Are you serious? I've never experienced such rudeness. I guess there was enough communication skills to be able to say payment was due immediately but not to explain the breakdown of cost. Finished the service and provider walked out the door ...payment had been taken so why stick around I guess. Also, no direction on how long to sit with the nail dryer. Just up & left. There is plenty of parking nearby in the back so don't worry like I did. I just didn't want to parallel park on the old narrow streets. I came here to pamper myself after work with a mani/pedi. I called and made an appointment less than a week from when I wanted it done and it went by relatively easy. I like how me and my fiancé had two different experiences. I pretty much had my mani/pedi without small talk and I actually like that. I just relaxed. My fiancé had small talk throughout the whole process. She didn't mind it, but I just thought it was interested how we had different experiences at the same time. They were efficient with their time and was able to work through both of our hands and feet without any issues. I rarely get manicures and pedicures so I do not know how they compare to others, but I am happy with the result. They do take credit cards, but I suggest you bring cash for tipping. read more

She shaped and filled nails to perfection, she also painted the French portion of the manicure meticulously, yet everything took just under an hour. My experience at Lux nail, was a waste of time and money. This was my first time going and I will never come back. I will give them credit on customer service which was great. My nails came out horrible, I got gel x french and a pedicure gel french. Both came out horrible, I got my nails done Friday, today is Saturday the nail pop off, a butterfly jewel I got on my big toe pop off. I told the tech a few things he had to keep fixing while he was doing my nails. However , I stayed polite and kind. before I left I told them I was not satisfied with my nails they look horrible they are going to pop off because he did not put them on right, they were lifting and they did not look right, they ask me if I can come back and they will buff it out. Mind you I was there from 11am until 3:45. I was overwhelmed with how long this service took. I have never been in a nail shop that long for nails and feet. I was the only person he was attending too and it took that long. I would never recommend this shop. If you want a regular Manicure and pedicure they can do that anything please don't waste your time and money. I paid $165 for my service read more

The nail salon is sparkling clean. Upon arrival, the staff immediately asks customers to wash their hands. I appreciate this because this means people are only touching the polish and such with clean hands. There are also separators at each seat between customers and between customers and staff. I called around 3pm to see if I could book 2 pedis for 4pm. They said they would only be able to accommodate us as 4:45pm (even though they close at 5pm), which was fine. A few minutes later, they called me back and said a 4:15pm was available. We ended up sticking with the 4:45pm, but appreciated the call back. The staff was super nice. They tested the color on one toe and made sure I was happy with it before proceeding with the others. The nails were well-manicured and the polish was even and dried quickly. Make sure to make an appointment because I noticed a few walk-ins that tried to get serviced but they were already fully booked. Friendly staff and reasonable prices! The technician I had was very nice and took her time with my pedicure. There was one little mishap that happened while she was cleaning one nail but she was apologetic about it! Overall, I was happy with the service and nail color I chose. These are some happy feet and ready for the beach! I was in a bit of a crunch to get my nails and eyebrows done, so I came to try LUX. I'm glad that I called a few hours before to make a 5 pm appointment because when I got there, there were a few walk ins that got denied because they were booked. Therefore, call ahead to make an appointment, so you don't have to wait long or be disappointed that they can't take you. I wasn't entirely sure what I wanted, but the nail tech suggested that I do SNS, since I don't get my nails done often. LUX has an assortment of colors to choose from for polish and SNS dip powder, and they are reasonably priced. They don't charge extra to add tips if your nails are short, and don't charge extra to change the shape. Some places will charge more if you want coffin shape nails. Since I wanted a different color for my ring finger, the nail tech was very accommodating and repeatedly asked if I approved of her work. She was very friendly and professional. She was even able to have enough time to do eyebrow waxing before the next client showed up. read more

I got a mani pedi (regular) with paraffin treatment for both hands and feet. While the technician took her time smoothing out the callouses on my feet, the paraffin she applied did not quite cover my whole foot, specifically the toes which I really needed. When I asked her to correct it, she didn't exactly put a lot of effort into it. By the time she got to my hands, I think she realized she was running out of time. She spent way less time on my hands. No hand massage, and the polish is quite a wreck even with three coats of color. When it was clear she was not going to clean up a particularly untidy edge, I asked her to do so. Again, she didn't exactly put a lot of effort into it. For $85+20% tip, this is not an experience I will recommend. read more

Honestly the worst experience I think I've ever had at a nail place. I was a walk in and they took me right away which I did appreciate. I asked for a red french tip and she said okay but then it was so messy. She cut my fingers several times. I wasn't happy with the red dip tip so she painted over it with gel and said the tip wouldn't be visible underneath. It obviously is. The nails are lumpy and messy. While doing gel it got on the clear divider and when she moved my arm the gel got on my sweatshirt and they tried to blame me for it/wouldn't help in any way. It was clear I was super unhappy and they still charged me full price, plus I will now have to pay for dry cleaning too. read more

Went today for my very first time. The nail tech (didn't catch her name) did an amazing job. Kept my shape the same and did my nails exactly how I like. I like them short and natural looking and she did just that. Only thing I wasn't too happy with is that when I made the appointment I mentioned I wanted designs, but the tech that did my nails apparently doesn't do designs and told me some other lady would do the designs. This is my second time visiting Mei at Lux Nails for You. My first sns manicure lasted 24 days (and counting!) with no peeling, chipping, or lifting. Mei is personable, meticulous, and always does a great job. While there is some inherent risk doing anything outside of your "bubble" during the pandemic, the salon follows CDC guidelines to the best of their ability and I felt safe getting my nails done. read more

I came in for a mani and pedi and removal of my powder nails, the woman doing my toes at the time made my big toe bleed from attempting to remove dead skin and didn't even apologize.. Then when she was doing my nails she rushed towards the end because a lady came in and needed ONE of her nails fixed, which to me felt rude. due to her rushing she left multiple little spots of nail polish around my nails and even left a part of my nail without nail polish which she 'fixed' because I noticed. she threw a slab of paint on it and that was that. I was trying out a new salon and gave Lux Nails For You two chances. The first time my nail technician was better but the second technician was not skilled at all. I went in on Friday and the technician didn't have great attention to detail, he made my cuticle bleed, was rushed, and one of my nails chipped by the next day with two more nails chipped by Sunday.
