We came to this place because of all the good reviews we saw online and after we had gone to many…read moreshow rooms to figure out the color and pattern we liked. Although we were a bit hesitant because there were not that many reviews so not sure how much we should trust the existing reviews, we still decided to give it a try because it's real close to us. We really regretted that decision as this place put us through hell. We came here on 6/8/2024 and deposited thousands of dollars right away to secure the slabs we decided to order. We were talked into buying the slabs partially because the sales person, Fatma, told us that another color we liked would take weeks to deliver, and if we put down the deposit for the slabs she recommended that day, she would save the slabs for us which they had in stock. Then fast forward to the middle of July when they came to measure and told us that the delivery of the slabs will be a little delayed. When we asked about the delay because we were informed they saved them for us and Fatma claimed that the slabs had scratches on them, they had to re-order and they would be installing around the end of July. On 7/26, we were told that it would be the first week of August. On 7/31, we were told that it would be 8/9, and on 8/7, we were told that the shipping container was delayed and they would not be here until September. Fatman sent us a picture of anther slab recommending us to switch to that one for the same price, which we don't like... In talking to the store manager, he claimed that he did not know anything about saving slabs for us...and after all the frustrations, we are back to square one... It's not an exaggeration when I said they put us through hell -- 1. all of the scheduling delays caused us to have to re-schedule with our contractor again and again, who has an extremely busy schedule already. 2. We planned to have the project done by the end of July so that we can take a trip for our 16th anniversary. American Quartz&Granite completely ruined that plan. As a matter of fact, we had to take time off work and drive in the pouring rain on our anniversary day desperately looking for new countertops. 3. we re-did the entire first floor and the plumber can't come to re-hook up things until the countertop is in place, and we had no sink, no kitchen, no water, nothing on the entire first floor for over a month more than what we needed to because of their delay. 4. For a family with young children and cooks a lot, any extra day not having the kitchen ready is miserable, not even mention a month more than what we had to endure. 5. Eating out for an extra month cost us a ton too to add on top of this major home renovation. PLEASE, don't trust the good reviews like I did and, save yourself some hassle, just don't deal with them.

When we first contacted Mustafa, he was helpful in getting us an estimate and renderings of the proposed kitchen. He answered all our questions, the price was reasonable, and the project started as scheduled, which we appreciated in a time when so many things were back ordered. Harb, our project manager, was just okay. In my mind two of the most important qualities of a PM are communication and quality oversight. Harb's communication was acceptable most of the time but I felt that he really lacked the capacity for proper oversight and ensuring that the quality of the work was acceptable. We often had to point things out to him that he should have seen (e.g. fridge off balance, big noticeable seams in the crown molding, cabinet doors that banged into walls, etc). He was rarely on site and when he was here it was for less than 5 minutes to collect a check. Ultimately what really left a bad taste in our mouth was when one of the cabinet fronts (on the garbage can slider) broke after only a week or two of normal use. We contacted Mustafa/Harb who sent someone to "fix" it and his solution was to add a Velcro sticker to the cabinet instead of actually properly securing the sliding drawer with screws and hardware. Needless to say the cabinet broke immediately and when I contacted the company again they completely ghosted us. Never returned phone calls, emails, or text messages. I think if Potomac had come and properly fixed the cabinet, or at the very least returned our messages, I would have given them a 3.5 star review but this issue really left us upset and worried about the overall quality of the project. We won't be recommending this company to friends or neighbors.

They did a fabulous job with the demolition of the old stuff and the installation of the new cabinets, lighting, floors, toilets, and hardware. I was looking for the expensive Taj Mahal quartzite to transform my island and countertop. Other companies just quoted me at around $12k, but Ada provided a very competitive quote at almost half the cost. There were multiple stone supplier around the corner for me the pick the stone I like. The process was smooth. The team is also very professional. I wanted to add a waterfall to my current island layout and another company said it wasn't possible, but Ada's team made it happened beautifully! I had heard horror story that the Taj Mahal quartzite is so hard to cut, and it would break without proper technology. Fortunately that did not happen to me. Every piece was cut and polished nicely. This team knows what they are doing but did not put a crazy price tag in the work they do. I have to mention the customer service is great with this team. Ada is a reliable, honest and responsive guy to work with. There was an incident that we found our water line leaky after the installation, which could happened during removal of the original granite but nobody was sure. Ada just stood up and took the responsibility immediately. There was also miscommunication during the process but Ada was always there to resolve the problems and made the process worry free. This is the team that you want to work with because unexpected things and mistakes could happen in every project, but they will make it right for you. His approach is thorough, professional and efficient. We had him build and install a wall-to-wall storage unit built from natural hickory that he found and milled specifically for our project. Rob built and installed a wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling entertainment system for our family room. He also put up crown molding in two of our rooms. The final product came out great and Rob was great to work with. (I've put pictures of the entertainment center shortly after installation and painting.) Initially we spoke to Rob over the phone and sent him some photos of ideas we liked. We followed that up with a meeting at his shop, during which he showed us around and took us through everything he could do, which was quite a bit! We finalized the design and he sent us a scaled drawing within a quick turn around. The drawing looked exactly like we envisioned. Rob came to the house to measure and a few short weeks later, Rob and his crew were at our home doing the installation. During the installation, the one thing that stuck out to me was that Rob was very involved. I've seen company owners disappear while the crew is doing that actual job. Not with this job! Rob strikes me as a bit of a perfectionist and he really pushed his crew to do a great job. It showed in the final product. The other thing that showed in the final product is that Rob used quality materials and craftsmanship. We spoke to other companies before hiring Frazier Custom Cabinetry and they all planned to use inferior MDF products. Rob uses old-school joining techniques instead of relying on more expedient, but flimsier, methods. We could see this in how the crown molding was attached and how he built things in his shop. We got higher quality materials put together with finer craftsmanship and didn't have to pay more than what the competitors were asking. In short, if you're looking to have custom cabinetry done, hire Rob. He's easy to work with. He does what he says he's going to do. And his product turns out great. I'm already looking around for the next thing I want Rob to do for us!
