My husband and I used Potomac Kitchen and Bath for our condo's kitchen renovation in summer 2021 and waited a while to write this review because we wanted some time to reflect on our experience with the company. When we first contacted Mustafa, he was helpful in getting us an estimate and renderings of the proposed kitchen. He answered all our questions, the price was reasonable, and the project started as scheduled, which we appreciated in a time when so many things were back ordered. Harb, our project manager, was just okay. In my mind two of the most important qualities of a PM are communication and quality oversight. Harb's communication was acceptable most of the time but I felt that he really lacked the capacity for proper oversight and ensuring that the quality of the work was acceptable. We often had to point things out to him that he should have seen (e.g. fridge off balance, big noticeable seams in the crown molding, cabinet doors that banged into walls, etc). He was rarely on site and when he was here it was for less than 5 minutes to collect a check. Ultimately what really left a bad taste in our mouth was when one of the cabinet fronts (on the garbage can slider) broke after only a week or two of normal use. We contacted Mustafa/Harb who sent someone to "fix" it and his solution was to add a Velcro sticker to the cabinet instead of actually properly securing the sliding drawer with screws and hardware. Needless to say the cabinet broke immediately and when I contacted the company again they completely ghosted us. Never returned phone calls, emails, or text messages. I think if Potomac had come and properly fixed the cabinet, or at the very least returned our messages, I would have given them a 3.5 star review but this issue really left us upset and worried about the overall quality of the project. We won't be recommending this company to friends or neighbors. read more

Potomac Kitchen & Bath completed a large project that consisted of the kitchen, master bathroom, guest bathroom, and powder (half bathroom). When brainstorming the kitchen and bathrooms, the staff were very helpful with picking out the types of cabinets, counter, flooring, toilets, and hardware. They did a fabulous job with the demolition of the old stuff and the installation of the new cabinets, lighting, floors, toilets, and hardware. The project manager and staff were wonderful with communicating with me and keeping me up to date. I'm grateful to have found Potomac Kitchen & Bath via Angi. I highly recommend them and wish they could do my kitchen in Pennsylvania. read more

We made an appointment for them to come to our place to do some measurements of our baths to draw up a quote. We got to explore briefly the tiles they have in store. I have a good experience with Potomac Kitchen and Bath (PKB). My kitchen was completely and it looks beautiful. It is not easy when on these days things are on back orders (my cabinets), but Matt-the project manager is very helpful to follow up with manufacturer and get things on track. The crew (Johnny, Omer and Arnold) delivered good craftsmanship and they worked hard to get the job done. Now I would spend more time in my new kitchen to cook food for myself and loved ones. If you want to hire a company to remodel your kitchen, look nowhere else. PKB is a right place to go to for your project. read more

DO NOT hire this company if you want to remodel your home. I signed up for Kitchen and bath remodeling in May, 2021. Both projects were not delivered as in the design on paper, and when reached out to the project manager or owner/sales agent, they would not follow up or fix the issue. Example #1: Design to include glass door for shower. They installed glass door for tub. When complained that water flows out from top of the glass door as it is short height meant for tub, project manager would insist this is the correct glass door. (see picture) Example #2: Design to include tip off tray and sliding waste baskets under the sink. They installed none. When asked the reason was both could not be installed with the newly installed sink. No answer yet, when asked why was this not communicated to me so we could have discussed installing a different sink/layout. Example #3: Design to include motion-sensor kitchen sink faucet. Incorrect installation. When reached out, I was told to call the customer service. When I called they looked at pictures and confirmed incorrect install. Correction was made which failed the next day. Its been several weeks reaching out to them but they do not respond. Example #4: Design included shower drain rectangular. Delivered was square shaped which turned rusting within first week. Reason given was rectangular drains are not good. They did replace the square drain. Example #5: Design included kitchen cabinets soft door. When testing, found out soft-door was not functioning for one drawer. Reason given was you have to push it hard when closing, where I showed it to them the others did not required a hard push. Still no response. Example #6: Design included new sink. Found out after a week of usage that it started to develop rust marks all around. I was asked to contact "Kraus" customer service which in return told me to provide order number in case replacement is desired. Reached back to owner/sales agent and its been several weeks now and have no response. Example #7: Project included that they will cover my appliances during the replacement of kitchen cabinets. Found out they continue to work without covering any appliances during the whole project. (see picture) Conclusion: - If you have hard earned money and want to spend on remodeling your home to your own design/expectations, please DO NOT hire this company. - Their workers are not skilled to do the job. -They will not respond to your calls/emails, and are bold enough to tell you on your face that they have 15+ customers and they will reach back to you when they can. -The signed contract says any defects, they will provide service or assistance. Its been several weeks, over 2 months now, no resolution or return of phone calls/emails is provided. - If a small size company is providing services like this, it clearly indicates they are focused on signing up customers, don't want to pay to hire qualified workers to include project managers. After discussions and estimates with four kitchen & bath remodelers, we selected Potomac. They were the "sweet spot" in the intersection of services and price. Mustafa, the owner, oversees a pretty complex system of design, materials acquisition, delivery and installation. That system functioned well for us, despite lengthy delays from our appliance dealer. Each job has a project manager, and ours, Ahmad Harb, never failed to respond to our inquiries in a positive manner, and coordinated all aspects to our satisfaction. read more

Our experience with Potomac Kitchen and Bath was completely unsatisfactory. Our kitchen remodel, a small project according to them, took 3.5 months to complete despite being assured this would be a 4-6 week job. Two of those weeks we were out of town and they were not able to work; however, we were told the project would be finished before we left. Demo occurred on Labor Day and we didn't see anyone for two weeks which left us with a completely unusable kitchen. Kevin, our project manager, was not in regular communication with us despite repeated requests. Texts and calls were consistently unresponded to. We have a dog who was unnecessarily crated day after day because we thought workers were coming. Kevin's purpose seemed to be collecting the money which he wanted without fulfilling the contract. He ordered the wrong sized trash can. When the correct size arrived he told us it was installed in someone else's kitchen. Trash was left in the garage until we requested it be removed. After installing the backsplash Victor left a bag of trash in my front yard. Kevin said he would talk to him and Victor tried to do it the next day as well. I was able to stop him and tell him to put it in the garage. We ordered the hood vent that Kevin suggested. It was the wrong size. Many weeks we were told the project would be finished only to have no workers show up. One week I was told they "couldn't find" the workers. Work had to be redone as rolling shelves were incorrectly installed. The finishing moulding around the cabinets was not done until we addressed it. We would not recommend Mustafa and his company, Potomac Kitchen and Bath, to anyone for any kitchen renovation. read more

Excellent quality work on a recent bathroom renovation. Primary renovator was Jaime and he does very good work - a true expert craftsman. Workmanship quality was very high. Very responsive and coordinated everything with me every step of the way. PK&B is very professional -- communications were generally clear and they adhered to signed contract with no cost overruns or unpleasant surprises. I would have given a 5 except the job took a week longer than promised (not due to any changes by me or delays in receiving materials) and the work pace stagnated inexplicably at times, yet they were a little pushy about receiving next milestone payment even when work completion was behind schedule and not commensurate with payment schedule. However, when I raised this concern to management, they quickly rectified the problem and got caught up. They seem slightly understaffed, but that might be due to a surge in demand due to COVID. It has been a few weeks since completion and there are no problems in plumbing, fixtures or anything else. Compared to many other renovation companies I've used, they're by far the best -- I would highly recommend PK&B. read more

We selected Potomac Kitchen and Bath for our kitchen remodel. Mustafa was extremely helpful at the beginning and helped us design and choose finishings. We liked that they had a showroom where we could pick cabinets, faucets, flooring etc. Once demo began, communication was very minimal and almost always was initiated by us. Cabinetry is very low quality. No attention to detail: we can see every screw under the cabinets. Grout looks horrible both on the counters and the floors. Cabinets have chipped. Under cabinet lighting looks cheap. Almost no attention to details. The sink grid they gave us has the hole in the wrong place. We have waited almost two years for a new grid. When they replaced the dishwasher, the door now squeaks when it is opened or closed. They tried to fix it, but couldn't...so they left it. Our trash cabinet broke (cheaply made). They offer a guarantee and said they would come out to fix things as needed, however they do not return our phone calls any longer. We have reached out and left messages, talked to Mustafa or Matt, but received nothing in return. read more
