At 10:28, after we had already called the office to find out where she was, she called to let us know she would pick us up in 23 minutes! My response, "I'm sorry but that's really unacceptable to be almost an hour late." She responded "you don't need to be rude about it!" Are you seriously calling me rude for telling you it's not acceptable to be an hour late for a timed pickup based on our boarding time? They offered $20 off as compensation. The total booking was $310 (round trip, plus gratuity), so essentially a 6% discount on our booking to show up an hour late. Terrible customer service! I use a white cane. The agency that I use for transportation to and from doctors appointments sometimes needs to contract other transportation services as they are quite busy. The taxi driver arrived 10 minutes before my pick up time. I always meet my drivers in front of my condominium building. I am on the top floor. This driver came up to my door and banged on it shaking the door and its frame. I opened the door and he began shouting that he called me three times and I didn't answer. There were no missed calls on my phone. This taxi driver was menacing and ferocious. was probably at least 6 feet tall. I am 5 feet tall. Although I was concerned about his behaviorI desperately needed to get to my doctors appointment so I did get in the car. Along the trip he saw a homeless woman and told me that I need to "realize that there are less fortunate people in the world than I." He told me to give him money for the homeless. I ignored him. My doctors office is 20 minutes away. Due to the after of the brain bleed, I struggle with knowing my whereabouts. The address on the destination was 2191 Ave. this man took me to 219 Avenue. I knew that this was not my doctor office. He told me that the address they gave him was 219 Avenue and that if I gave him a "large gratuity" he would take me to my appointment. I don't know where he drove me, but we were on the road for at least 45 minutes and I was now going to be late to my appointment. I did not respond to his request. He repeated it demanding that I give him a large gratuity or he would not take me to my . At this point, I was in full-blown panic attack. I the car. I was terrified of this man. I was able to reach a friend who could find me because we share our . She was 30 minutes away and said she was on her way. I stood there on the street waiting for this man to leave. After I got the car, he told me that he would take me to my appointment. There was no way I was going to get back in with this menacing man. A young man was walking his dog and saw that I was in distress. I was in a full-blown panic attack. A young man who was a stranger to me saw that I was in distress. He stayed with me until my friend got there. The taxi driver was watching me and watching me until this young man came up. The taxi driver's name is Joe DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I informed Saint Pete police of this traumatic event and learned that at least two federal laws were broken. The officer urged me to post this on social media to warn people of this event so that it does not happen to someone else. He also told me to go to the courthouse and file a restraining order. The automobile was filthy and reeked of cigarette smoke. The windows were all the way down as he drove like a maniac. The radio was blaring.
