Best pedicure/massage I've had in years. I'm traveling for work and wasn't able to get a pedicure. Stumbled across this spot and I WISH I could come back. I got an amazing pedicure with an equally amazing leg/foot/neck massage. I couldn't recommend this place more. I was apprehensive about the low reviews, but there is no way they are true. This was my first time going to this salon, and it was a great experience. The lady doing my nails (did not remember the name), took a lot of time and paid a lot of attention to my nails to make them clean and perfect. I do not suggest coming here if you don't have a lot of time, but if you do then it's definitely worth it. I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure- took an hour and costed $65 (a little pricey- but so are all salons in the Fairfield county area). Went on a weekend early eve and not too crowded. Took me right away for a pedicure. Hand towels were warm. Basin water a bit cool. $27 badic pedi and menu up from there. I don't usually write reviews, and definitely don't usually write bad reviews, but I really feel the need to express how disappointed I was with Luxx. I got a powder gel manicure on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Powder gel usually lasts about 3 weeks on my nails from other salons. By Friday (2 days later) there was a large crack in the polish on my thumb. The polish on the thumb fell off by Monday. Additionally, over the weekend (within 3-4 days of getting my nails done) I noticed several more cracks on various nails. The polish on these nails haven't fallen off yet, but I suspect they will, which is extremely disappointing since I choose to get powder gel because of how long it usually lasts. Otherwise, the place is reasonably clean and the staff was friendly. Overall, however, the quality of the manicure is more important to me. read more

I was skeptical to come in based on the exterior, but I'm glad I did! The staff was friendly and attentive and the place was clean. I asked for a regular pedicure with attention to cuticle and dead skin and she did a good job. I loved that the TV was on with no sound with the spa music on. I do not normally write bad reviews but I have no choice. I cannot give this place not even one star but couldn't write a review if I didn't give one star. I went the other day to get a pedicure. She came over with dirty instruments. I asked her to please use sanitized ones, she went to get a new set of instruments with an attitude. I should of walked out at that point. She then started cutting my cuticles and made three of my toe cuticles bleed. I now have a bad infected toe. I would not use this place. It's very dirty and I'm not sure the girls there have any certification. Avoid if you dirty about getting a horrible infection. read more

It's always a good idea to call ahead of time to make an appointment so you are not waiting if you are a walk-in, you might be waiting for over and hour depending. Stay away from this salon. I went in for a gel fill and to fix two nails. When the woman was taking my polish off she was so ruff that she cracked the corner of my pinky nail resulting in 3nails now that needed fixing. As she was sculpting the one nail that needed serious help, she encased my nail bed in gel and formed my nail to look like an eagles talon. The other two nails only need new gel to be applied to the nails because there weren't bad off. She filled the rest and when she was done I asked her to please put a third layer as I'm very rough on my hands and know they needed the strength, esp the one that was really broken. She said to me that they would be too thick and I told her that that was fine, I prefer them on the thicker side. Well she didn't do as I asked .. and went on to filing and smoothing them .. roughly. It was time to pay .. $55 she said. I asked her how when a fill is $40? She said fixing your nails $5 each, but I only charged you $3 for the one that was broken which I'm supposed to charge $10 .. Ok so .. $40 + 13 = $55?? And you're charging my for the nail you broke?? She asked if I was leaving a tip on my card and because I was not happy I said yes, $5. She said .. 'really?' .. laughing I said yep! Today, one day later, the thumb she fixed, broke and my middle finger bent when I was scrunching my hair and now has a crack! Ill be going back on Wednesday to have them fix because $60 is a lot of my hard earned money to have a shitty nail job!! I get so relaxed when I am at Luxx; it's my "me" time. Luxx is very clean. They just upped their game even more with new pedi massage chairs. I would love to take pictures of Luxx , to show the shop I go to in Florida, an example of what a nail salon should look like! Their gel manicures last a pretty long time, without peeling and they spend a few extra minutes massaging your feet during a pedicure, which is nice. The inside could be a bit nicer & i thought the prices were a little high but I'd recommend it if you're in need of mani/pedi that will last. read more
