Walked in Sunday morning with four tweens and my mama-in-law. They had all five ladies in a chair within 1/2 and hour and everyone's stoked on their nails. They saying is very busy but they don't skimp on time to ensure a job well done. This honestly hurts me to leave this review because I have been coming here for years and always loved my experience. I haven't been here in a year because I took a break from nails and I don't know if she's new or not, but I'm used to a man and another kind lady running the salon when the owner is not there. Whoever was running the salon this past Saturday, needs to get retrained or gotta go because she was giving horrible customer service and it was so chaotic. Never have I seen so many people waiting for so long before, it was like she was trying to jam in as many people as she could. I had an appointment at 9:30am for gel x manicure and gel pedicure, she sat me at the pedicure chair but no one got to my feet until nearly an hour later, and the customer next to me that came in after me had already started too. Then the lady who was running the salon, started working to soak off my nails but she did a botch job. The drill speed was too fast and she burned my nails which I told her and she still didn't adjust it. Then she didn't even soak my nails off properly, there was still hella residue left over. Then, instead of working on my right hand, she left it in foils for like 30 mins and then came back and tried to put on the nails for my left name. I asked her could you take off the foils on my right hand so I could use my phone and she got annoyed and did, and then said "ok you play with your phone and we do your nails later". Then she asked me to pick colors for both my manicure and pedi which I did, and then when the kind lady that came to do my pedi, asked again because the other one never even grabbed them! Same thing happened AGAIN when I finally got to my gel x manicure, and she didn't tell the tech that I wanted nail designs either. She was also rude to the lady next to me, because she asked if they had a similar color to what was already on her nails and the person running the salon said "I don't know, you pick here, we have a lot" and just gave her the basket. Usually the staff would actually go and help you. It also seemed like she was rushing the techs doing the pedicures and it was just not cool. The whole point of why people love coming here is because of the techs that take their time and actually create a "luxy" experience. When you take that away, you're just a nail salon that overcharges for horrible customer service and makes clients feel rushed. And then when I was going to pay, I asked if I could use my points because I had 1k+ and they said "oh is next time ok?" Like what? Anyway, I think I need to come on a day where the owner is actually here and I'm sure I'd get better service. If it's the same I won't be coming back, unfortunately. read more

This review is specific to Andy, though I have not had a bad experience with anyone. Andy is the KING of nail techs. A pedicure is a foot transformation. I get regular pedicures but I will drive from the depths of Concord to see Andy. Thank you Andy. I've been coming here for the past 3 years and this salon consistently does a good job. I recently had an incident where my nail dip manicure chipped - 5 nails within less than a week (which never happens, I can go a month before coming back) and so I called to see if they'd be willing to fix it. Vivian (the manager) told me to come in that evening and she redid my manicure. I was very appreciative!! Highly recommend this place! read more

Called Thursday at 140 requesting a 330 appt and I was thrilled they could squeeze me in. Paid Sen 75 and was uncomfortably feeling forced to tip on top even after not getting what I asked for. I had to beg her to do the design I wanted, she said my nail wasn't big enough for more stripes?? Makes no sense but ok fine. Didn't get what I want, made me feel like I had to tip and I wish I just walked out after paying. I was ok with the results until today I looked down and saw part of my nail missing, not even a full 48 hours later. Extremely disappointed, I was hoping this could be my new go to spot as it is local to me but if the nails can't last 48 hours, no thank you. read more

Went in for a pedicure, nothing fancy. They were fairly busy so I did have to wait a few minutes which was actually shorter than they originally told me, which was nice. Service was $37 (I believe) and she did a great job. read more

This was my first time coming to this nail spa. I was beyond grateful for the service . I was a walk in and I didn't have to wait long. June, my nail tech, was amazing. They have many colors and they do all different techniques/nail systems. The shop is very clean. I asked for thin dip on my natural nails and she gave me exactly what I wanted. I drove from another city and it was certainly worth the drive. I will return this nail spa again. It may be my new place in the East Bay. read more

I feel ashamed that this review is so long overdue! I have been coming here for years and have enjoyed every single visit. I have brought family and friends here as well. I always have excellent attention to detail and service. Everything is clean and organized- and with an appointment I never have to wait. I recently came in for a pedicure and the tech did a bad job. I left with a cut toe from the cuticle nippers and calluses on my feet. My feet barely get calluses anyway, so the fact that I left with them looking the same as when I arrived (minus cut up and with a bad polish application) really was the cherry on top. I got a regular polish French tip. I asked for french pink and white with a flower on each big toe, and while she nodded and said okay, she did clear and white and no flower. By the time it was over my toe was hurting and I just wanted to leave, so I didn't ask for a flower, etc. They up charged for the badly done French tips, and I left hurt and paying around $47 plus an $8 tip (although tipping for that was my bad). The basin full of water was also ice cold. What a treat. There are tons of nail salons around, so in the future I'll go somewhere else or do my own at home. Also, not that it matters, but a week prior I had a major surgery. I was SO excited to come for a pedicure! Now I'm just sad wherever I see my feet and think of the wasted money. read more

I have been coming here for awhile now and today was by far the worst experience i have ever had here. I came with my partner; we got two pedicures, I got a gel X full set and my partner did a regular manicure. Vivian did my gel x and was very rude the entire time. She was very rough taking off my nails, didn't shake out the towel after filing my nails so i had to have my hands in the nail filing/shavings the entire time, then she just chopped off my natural nails, didn't file them. She didn't check in with me in the process and when I expressed I wanted her to fix my nails she was rude and didn't fix it per my request. The nail I asked to be fixed is extremely crooked. I still have some of my old color from my old set in my nails. In addition, she cut my finger and my partner had her toe cut by Ruby who did her pedicure. We couldn't relax during our service because the staff were rushing, being aggressive, and being rude. When I asked Sen (the lady who did my pedicure) for a clear pink and a different one from what she was using, she became impatient and waved the options in my face while Vivian is also trying to talk to me about what I want done. During the services, they were all talking and laughing extremely loud so it was even harder to relax. Don't come here to pay a bunch of money just to deal with rude staff, bad service, and be unhappy with your nails. I won't be returning. read more

Love this salon, they do great work and my gel manicures last a long time. The space is clean, the staff are friendly, and prices are reasonable for the area. It's a popular spot, so appointments are best. Parking can be tricky, street parking is limited and the back lot fills up fast, but it's worth the effort for the quality and service. read more

I don't like to write bad reviews, but it wasn't a great experience. I waited over 20' , when she opened the tools to clean the nails they weren't sealed. I hope they weren't as filthy as I think. This is serious. You need to be very careful with those tools. You can spread anything. From bacteria, viruses, parasites.. not for me. read more

It's been awhile since I've been back but once again, this place NEVER fails me. I love that their booking system includes Nail Repair service and it's easy to use overall. The workers here are kind and efficient. I finally got the name of the person I usually get to do my nails here. AMY! She does amazing work but the times that I don't get her, they do amazing as well, especially on my cuticles. Bless them and their skills because my cuticles needed help! I don't know what she used but besides the nail repair, I just got regular polish and it dried so fast I was able to take my wallet out of my backpack and do whatever without it budging!! The vibe is calm and you don't see workers slacking off. They really care about their customers. Parking isn't always easy but the struggle is worth the quality and service you get here. They do a very nice job, and I have been coming regularly because of that. I find it constantly frustrating that they don't respect appointment times. I am pretty sure they take every request for an appointment, whether or not they think they have time. I usually come with 1 other person, and they will seat us in pedicure chairs, then walk away, then start the water for one person. Then stop it, and start the water for the next person. Then do one, and then when they are almost complete, send someone over to do the other persons nails. Constantly juggling finishing one person while starting the next slooowwwly. They clearly over book, and I will probably start looking elsewhere. I would not recommend it if you are in any kind of rush... but if not, they do a good job. read more

The manager wasn't rude, but it didn't really feel like I was talking to someone who was concerned about fixing the issue. I expected a little more urgency since why are the pharmacy staff acting like they answering calls and disconnecting them on "accident". Instead, the only solution offered was to transfer me back to the pharmacy and let them know I was waiting on the phone. When someone answered, I asked if her name was Shemma. She immediately responded, "Nope," and transferred me. I was connected to Shemma. I realized she wasn't the same person that had disconnected my earlier calls because her voice sounded different from the employee who had answered before. Since Shemma stayed on the line, I decided to ask about my medication and a possible prescription transfer between Walgreens locations. I explained that my regular Walgreens told me that if this location had the medication in stock, they could request the prescription transfer. Shemma told me, "No, I can't do that. Call that Walgreens to transfer it." This completely conflicted with what I had already been told, and I felt like I was being talked over. My biggest concern is still the employee who initially answered the phone. After one of the disconnections, I called back and asked for her name first because I wanted to know who was disconnecting the calls. I figured if the call got disconnected again, at least I would know who I had spoken with. When I asked for her name, she responded, "Sure," and the call was disconnected. This is another reason I strongly recommend asking for the employee's name at the beginning of the call. I feel like people are less tough when they know you know who they are. If you need to follow up, file a complaint, or reference a specific interaction, having the employee's name can make that process a lot easier. With that being said, I don't need my prescription to be filled here anymore. Goodluck to ya if you have to call this pharmacy.

Unless you want to wait 1-2hrs to get your prescriptions and 30min to check out in the front. The drive thru is not not open which makes it more difficult to get your meds. Not only that but there is one lady that looks Samoan helps one person and then goes and gets distracted for 10 min comes back helps again and goes off again. This is BS customer service sucks at this store. Not to mention almost everything is locked up so if you wanted to get something from nail clippers or nails stuff or make up or electrical toothbrush heads you must wait till someone hears the ring on the over head and comes to you after you waiting that long. Walgreens or to any store if you have these stuff locked up be sure to schedule people that can come and open these locks when customers need them. If not then leave them unlocked you wanted them secure but now paying customers are getting frustrated that we have to wait multiple times to get something at this store. That's a "I won't be back" thing for me. No one likes having to wait ten minutes to get the glass opened. If people are stealing stuff then get security. The tech told me that I just needed to wait 10 minutes. I had to explain to the tech the importance of my child's medication being filled on time, given that a missed dose can cause a life-threatening issue. About a month ago, I was in line inquiring on my child's prescription. There was another customer standing super close behind me while I was giving the tech very personal information. The staff did not say anything to the customer standing very close to me. There I was disclosing personal medical information not realizing that the customer was near me the whole time. (They should check the cameras; I can't make this up!) I only became aware that the man was standing extremely close to me because another customer in line pointed it out and told him to step back. There is no way that pharmacy tech helping me did not notice him. HIPAA VIOLATION! Anyway, if I could give this pharmacy zero stars I would.

Parts of the service were handled in a way that made the appointment uncomfortable. The appointment also took nearly 3 hours and felt longer than expected. He made my nails so thin on purpose. My two nails broke up same day. For gel manicure they charged $60. So disappointed, I'm not going to this place anymore. My wife love going here on the weekend for gel nails. Originally went here to get dip nails but they didn't have many colors so I switched to gel. They are very nice and everything is clean and well cared for. If you go on the weekend it's not busy, not sure how it is during the week. During my last several visits I received very much the opposite - negative energy, rude staff, and hostility for asking basic questions or requesting more than 30 seconds to choose a color. I have been a regular customer at this nail salon for the last 2-3 years (you would never know, because they never acknowledge me when I come back each time), and I have recommended this place to people I know. I also have tipped REALLY WELL after each visit, more than I tip anywhere - which makes all of this even more absurd. Smiley Salon was great in the earlier days, but has gone downhill since then. I swore after the last couple of visits that I would never come back, and only did because they are one of the few nail salons that offers last minute appointments. Big mistake. The way that I was treated today was unacceptable (and recent visits too). I can't believe that they think this is ok. It started when I walked in and was looking at the OPI colors for my pedicure, and they were standing right behind me, staring at me, watching my every move and rushing me to choose the first color I picked up. There was no welcome, no customer service, nothing. In fact, they hardly said a single word to me the entire time, and made me feel like I was a nuisance to them. When I chose the initial gel color for my hands, it turned out to be completely clear on my nails, even though it was a pink shade in the book they gave me. After she applied it to one nail, I asked if I could choose a different color, and they scolded me and rolled their eyes for not knowing that the first page of their book contained the "clear" shades. How was I supposed to know? And when they later brought the new shade out, she applied it really quickly without even showing it to me or asking if I liked the color. In the past they have treated me like a criminal if I ever dared to question a color or ask for a different one when it didn't match the color in the book they give you. The manicure and pedicure I received were the most rushed I have ever had. They did the bare minimum, not anywhere near a thorough job and were working as fast as possible, which stressed me out. The foot massage lasted 15 seconds (the massages overall are pretty lackluster here, even with the upgraded packages I have had in the past). The polish on one of my toes was uneven, although luckily it was fixed when I asked about it. When doing the gel manicure, the nail tech put my hands under the UV light for just 15 seconds at a time between coats and only slightly longer at the very end. I asked her about it, and she initially ignored me. Then she flipped out on me and was aggressive and rude, responding, "If you want to put it under 10 times, do it 10 times!". I was simply asking if I should be holding my hands under the light longer between coats. I don't think that was a crazy question, especially because every time I have been to this salon and the gel manicure DID last, I held my hands under the UV light for a longer period of time. When I asked if cuticle care was included in the manicure, the nail tech came over to me without saying a word and dramatically threw her tools down in front of me. I asked what she was doing, and she said, "If you want me to do it, I'll do it! Just like you wanted your hands under the UV light 10 times!". What kind of attitude is this? I was treated like an inconvenience and a burden, not a paying customer. Every little question was such an ordeal and resulted in hostility and them mocking me. Literally the worst experience I have ever had in a nail salon, and even though I walked in, in a good mood, I left in a terrible mood. There are much better options out there. I deserve better, and so do you. I will make sure to let my family and friends know to never come here, and I won't be back ever again either. Look elsewhere for a nail salon.

She was not exceptionally friendly when I came in, but it was early morning, so I figured maybe she just wasn't a morning person However, the quality of my manicure is not that of the other reviews. It has been a week so far and one nail is lifting, and the cuticles that theyre supposed to remove, still seem to be there now that sometime has passed. I'm glad I did not get the pedicure too because for the $115 that I spent just on a manicure, it should've lasted longer. I got a Russian pedicure at a place in Sacramento and that pedicure lasted almost a full month and still looked wonderful when I went in for my next one. I would definitely not recommend going here.

Also does not do severe picking of skin or cutting nails short which creates ingrown toes and sensitivities - can't stand when nail techs do that. It asking is always available as well.
