I ordered the fig and goat cheese flatbread, which was good, but had little to no fig flavor, which was a bit disappointing. French dip got great reviews from someone in my party. Prepare to be disappointed in the "chocolate factory" which does not appear to be anything one could tour. There was a woman in the gift shop assembling white chocolate turtles in between ringing up customers, but that was it. Gift shop has some different things, but of our party of 6 people, no one found anything to purchase. First, secure a table and make note of the number. Next, order and pay at the counter and provide the table number. Lastly, get your drinks and return to the table to wait for your food. The place was interesting. Ate there with a group from work. We were charged an additional fee to use a side room there. Ordered the tenderloin sandwich and received a french dip. It was not bad and i did not send it back. The service staff acted like they were there because the had to be and not as much as they wanted to be. Once and done. We have driven past this spot so many times, never knowing what a hidden gem it was! We tried this spot for lunch today, and it was AMAZING. I was short on time, so I didn't get to browse their cute little gift shop but from what I saw-- I could spent some money here!! The food was so good. I got a steak and arugula sandwich and it was just perfect. The flavors were on point. My husband got a burger, and my friend got a Turkey Bacon Avocado sandwich that also looked amazing. They have little robots that bring the food out, and my daughter loved that. Such a neat experience! I was too full to even consider dessert, but their choices looked divine. Good spot for shrimp and grits. Came by here because I couldn't venture far away because of work. Walked in and said what the whack shrimp and grits. Good choice. Food was to go but it held heat nicely. Nicely seasoned. The ONLY issue I'd say I have with it was there wasn't enough meat and that's because the shrimp and sausage was excellent. I'd hit it again. Absolutely the worse restaurant I ever ate at, had a Reuben sandwich burnt bread, when confronting the staff they told me it was fine. I showed her the bread and tapped the toasted bread to show her how it hard is was as hard of the table top. My wife's was the same burnt bread. After arguing with me I settled on plain bread. My wife ate her burnt sandwich. When mine came it was so dry I scraped the meat off and ate some. No thousand Island dressing no sauerkraut. The worse. Never again. My wife got the turkey and provolone crossaint and it had a very odd taste; not good at all. She also got coleslaw which was so full of dressing you could barely see any slaw. The other day, we spotted The Peanut Man while getting off of I-26 at Piney Grove. Today we decided the give it a try! The service is friendly and helpful. I had the Turkey Bacon Avocado sandwich. My wife had the Grilled Chicken Panini. We swapped halves. Both were good. Fresh tasting and flavorful. We give a slight edge to the Turkey. Our girls spilt the Giovanni flatbread (a marinara pizza). They liked it. I tried some and it was good. The sandwiches were $10.00 and $9.50. Perhaps pricy, but no different than other places. And the quality (freshness) is worth it. For dessert, we had the Dad's Chocolate Cake and the Blueberry Lemon Mascarpone cake. The Blueberry was moist and delicious. The Chocolate, while good, was dense and rich. Our girls raided the candy shop. They have an array of nostalgia candy. Interesting that 80s candy (Nerds!) are nostalgic. ‍ Overall, we enjoyed it and are already planning our return. read more

First of all, since they opened they have had a step that everyone trips over. I was in there years ago when a woman fell and they had to call an ambulance. I was shocked when I went today that they STILL haven't fixed it and every person who came in tripped over it. So irresponsible. Now for the food. Today it was terrible. Today was my first experience at this restaurant and I know it will become a regular spot for me in the future. My first impression was how aesthetically pleasing it was. The restaurant and candy factory were so clean and organized, almost immaculate. Indoor and outdoor seating were available, along with a couch and chairs by the fireplace. We came in initially to try the coffee, but the menu looked so appetizing. The caramel macchiato was to die for. We waited around a bit and ordered lunch. The club sandwich was one of the best I had in years. My friend ordered the creamy chicken and wild rice soup with a Gouda and provolone grilled cheese that was out of this world. I always give good reviews but I went to this restaurant for the 1st time with 8 people (1/2 of our family) to celebrate my sisters birthday after the loss of her dog! It was the worst experience! We will never go back! The manager has her employees very stressed out and she was very rude to us! The food was terrible! Highly don't recommend it! We will not repeat going there again. They are not set up for large parties...the food did not come out on time. She told us to leave because we brought birthday cupcakes. We were going to buy more desserts there.
