HONESTLY WE DON'T CARE ABOUT OUR CUSTOMERS!!
I only gave Lyft a 1 because Zero wasn't an option!!
Lyft is no Amazon!! Amazon knows what Customer Service means, Lyft wouldn't know Customer Service if it bit them in the nose!!!
On their website and Facebook page, Lyft claims their Customer Service is available 5am -9pm PST, what a crock, they have absolutely no customer service and hide behind their computers! My question to Lyft is, do you even know what Customer Service is? I don't think Lyft has any clue what Customer Service means!! They don't have a phone number Customers can't call to address issues, like stolen property, they don't follow up, and when someone claims a loss, they allocate the responsibility to the Lyft driver to get back to their customers and don't follow up on claims by their customers!
Oh but they do have a hotline for Service Animal questions but if you have a real problem, they tell their customers, your loss is not our problem, report your loss to the police and claim the loss on your insurance policy. Lyft's Motto should be "Honestly, We Really Don't Care about our Customers"
More specifically, last week, less than 24 hrs prior to her intention to fly home for the holidays, my daughter took a Lyft to pick up her car that she had to leave at a local restaurant the prior evening as her battery died. Bottom line, she accidentally left a very expensive Pink handbag in the backseat of the Lyft. Unfortunately, to make matters worse, inside that Pink handbag was her work Laptop, prescription glasses, Air Pods, Prescription Meds, more than $4,000 worth of merchandise in total. Less than an hour after being dropped off by the Lyft driver, she realized she had forgotten her bag in the Lyft and immediately reported the lost/stolen bag via the Lyft App.
She then searched for a phone number to call Lyft to report her loss but Lyft, who claims to be Customer Service driven, has absolutely no phone number to call to report grievances, emergencies, lost items, complaints or any other issues that a normal service oriented company addresses on a daily basis.
Long story short, after sending multiple texts, later in the day, the driver who, according to Lyft "Customer Service" was supposed to call her back and has yet to even attempt to return her call or texts. She was finally able to reach him on his cell phone, but he just yelled obscenities at her and claimed he doesn't speak English and click, he hung up on her.
Since then my daughter has filed a Better Business Bureau complaint, reached out to Lyft customer service to complain about the way she was verbally abused over the phone by the Lyft driver via the Lyft App and the only thing Lyft offered for the $4,000 worth of personal property the driver stole was to give her a $15 credit. She followed up her complaint with several more complaints. It's pretty clear a robot responded to her complaint as they asked for her phone number so the driver could supposedly call her back even though she already told them the driver claimed he didn't speak English, thus it's quite apparent that the "Customer Service" department didn't even read my daughter's complaint.
With the drivers name Gamalier, listed on the Lyft App, and after an extensive google search, my daughter and her work colleagues were able to find his last name. Apparently Gamalier is from Puerto Rico and speaks Spanish. My daughter has a friend who speaks fluent Spanish, draft a text to Gamalier in Spanish which was followed up with multiple phone calls to the driver and Gamalier not only hasn't responded to repeated texts, he appears to be avoiding any form of communication. I have to believe the reason Gamalier refuses to answer his phone or respond to texts, is that he is in possession of my daughters property and has no intention of returning it to her. I guess when you work for Lyft, its ok to steal customers property!
It has now been a week since her property was stolen by Gamalier and my daughter still hasn't heard from anyone at Lyft, not the driver Gamalier, not customer service nor any employee of Lyft. Due to the loss, my daughter had to delay her flight back home to see her Mom and was unable to work for several days without her work issued laptop.
