On Saturday, March 24, at 1:45 PM, in San Antonio, Texas, I and three of my friends called for a Lyft ride. We were on East Houston Street, by the Emily Morgan Hotel. Our driver was "Mark" and he was driving an olive green Ford Flex. When he arrived approximately 5 minutes later, he slowed his car down, rolled down his window, and stated, "I don't give rides to racists and bigots." Then, he drove away, leaving us standing on the sidewalk in stunned silence. I might add that my friends and I are the furthest imaginable from being "racists and bigots." Driver rates are way to low to make a profit. Base rate of $.70 cents is ludicrous! A taxi starts at a minimum of $2.75. I believe Lyft and Uber are taking advantage of their drivers so I won't drive till the rate are reasonable. read more

Worst experience ever, I worked with them for one night they are a rip-off , the App says something and they pay you something else, I guess they charge the customer more but the pay the driver less. How I know how much they charge the customer. All the drivers stop working with them till you get paid the right amount we have to come together to change the driver rates. read more

First time using Lyft and it said our driver arrived but he wasn't there and he didn't not answer calls or texts. Very disappointed.

I am never ever using Lyft. I have never used Lyft I downloaded the app for a trip back in March but never ended up using them. Now 4 months later they are charging my credit card all these "Verfication account fee" 7 times now 1 one day. I have sent several notifications to them asking why so many no reply. I'll closed my account but I am unable to remove my credit card for them to stop this charging. Really no customer service number. DONT USE LYFT OR GIVE THEM ANY OF YOUR INFORMATION. read more

I recently used Lyft for the first time for a ride to Bergstrom Airport. The car arrived, the driver sat in place operating his phone, popped the trunk, and never said a word or lifted a finger to help with the luggage. Inside the trunk was a basket of his dirty laundry and a backpack, which we had to rearrange to get our baggage in. Upon arrival we got the same indifference. I asked what the fare was and he said $17. I don't know why, but I left a handsome tip in cash. The invoice came later and it was for $28. I'm going back to Yellow Cab. They have always been punctual, the vehicles are clean, and the drivers are helpful and attentive. I don't care if they may be a little bit more expensive. I suspect the negative reviews are from juvenile, hipster saboteurs associated with other companies. read more

my husband got a lyft from the airport to the med center and it cost $28. my previous taxi fares for the same route have been over $40 and i had to order the taxi in advance, put in my address, the destination, payment info, etc... i then had to select a 15-30 min window (the taxi missed the window and i barely made my flight). lyft is on-demand and much more convenient! i can usually get a car to my place within 3 minutes and all i have to do is open the app and click "request lyft." lyft drivers are super cool and friendly people. they let you choose the music, the ac settings, and even sometimes have cords for you to charge your phone! i've heard that some drivers even provide snacks and water free of charge! and what other ride service arrives with a giant pink mustache on the front of the car with a driver who get out and greets you with a fist bump? :) read more

I was heading to the airport in Austin, TX and looked at other reviews for cabs and shared rides online before downloading the Lyft app - which I was able to download in less then 5 minutes. The Lyft was at my location within minutes of requesting it through the app. You can track where the Lyft is coming from and when it will be at your location. Also gives you a picture of the driver and the license plate number (always check those before getting in the car!I ) The Lyft operator, Gorkem was very professional, friendly and not a craxy nuts, driver. His car was spotlessly clean. We arrived at the airport with plenty of time. Thanks Gorkem!! read more

There are fewer Lyft drivers in San Antonio than Uber but the wait times are comparable. Lyft is cheaper. It's also generally much better than a taxi in this town. Taxis here are expensive and frequently have long waits. Getting a taxi on a busy night can be impossible. I mean, they may not come. Lyft has never left me stranded and is about half the cost of a taxi. read more

Left Keys and wallet in drivers car. They were never returned. When I contacted Lyft about issue they said that the driver was busy driving, going to school, ect. Never got items back. read more

Worst customer service I have experienced....I used Lyft to get from round rock Texas to Gonzales Texas which went fine. I tried to use Lyft to get from Gonzales Texas to round rock Texas that's when the problems start to occur...the process went the same as before put the designation in the card was "temporarily charged" but Lyft had not one driver in the area. Even tho it's a temporary charge the money is still not on the account. I reached out through their automated system customer service to see if I could request the same driver that took me out to Gonzales Texas same route and everything and the only help I got was sorry for the inconvenience. Why have your service go to a place that don't have the same service....I wouldn't recommend Lyft to future customers that need a ride read more

I really did not have a problem with my ride until after I got dropped off. The driver helped pull out my carry-on suitcase out of her trunk but we both missed/forgot to retrieve a small bag of personal goodies. I realized this soon after and quickly looked up and used Lyft's lost and found service. The driver texted me to say she was only 4-5 minutes away. She returned and handed me my small bag of things. The next day I was charged a "return fee" of $15!! I've looked this up on the Lyft website and it does appear to be the standard fee, but frankly it has left a significantly sour taste in my mouth. I was in touch with the driver very soon after she'd dropped me off, she was only 4-5 minutes away, and the goodies in the bag were worth about $10 max. I get charged $15 for that? That's only $7 less than what the original ride cost me. Shameful. Good bye Lyft. I will never use your service again. read more

I was trying to compare Taxi prices today when I came across Lyft. Going downtown SA,TX to see the Gypsy Kings and did not want to drive, park, walk and I was going alone. Picked up both ways by Lyft and it was the best traveling experience EVER!!!! Both drivers were excellent and very friendly. It was like asking a friend for a ride. Prices were even better...less than any Taxi quoted me. I will not be driving downtown again, Lyft will be my ride. read more
