I was skeptical when they did and didn't want to pay the fee so switched offices. Big mistake! There is no another office that cares as much! In fact during the time I was at another office I had a mystery illness that the other office couldn't solve (and in fact I am positive they didn't even believe what I was saying). After a year and a half of this illness, I decided to switch back because I knew how good the doctors here were. Dr Amick spent hours with me going over everything that had occurred and spent many hours on his own researching possibilities. After a few tests and just 2 or 3 months he diagnosed me and solved the problem! Dr Amick is a fantastic doctor. He cares and also helps educate you on what's going on, never trying to talk over your head. The office is clean, everyone in the office is super friendly and they never rush you so that you actually get excellent care. It's such a great feeling when you have a doctor like this!

I wanted a concierge service so I could deal with issues quickly as my mother was having mental decline due to vascular dementia. Dr. Maged and the staff have been wonderful over these last 2.5 years. Often my mother would complain of something and - if it was not an urgent issue - I'd leave an email with the MDVIP service. Dr. Maged would follow up with a phone call within 24 hours and either (a) talk things thru with me or (b) schedule an immediate visit for the next day. I have called the office with an urgent need first thing in the morning and the office always found a way to fit us in that day. My mother's mental decline has made for some difficulty with her as a patient - but Dr. Maged and the staff - always took time to listen to her and reassure her. They have been a wonderful support for me in caring for my mother and I would not change a thing. Dr. Maged is retiring and he took careful time and planning to introduce my mom to his replacement Dr. Crowe. We look forward to the same support, service and understanding as a patient at Internal Medicine Associates.

I asked why this was first I've heard of it as I've been in to see her many times since 2008! No answer. I asked if they would waive the missed appointment fee from 8 years ago as a courtesy for a patient of 26 years. I was told no. He went on say that bc I wasn't sick enough and didn't come in often enough as a patient he would not waive. He also asked if I've been seeing other doctors (accusing me of cheating on her lol!). When I requested my medical records to transfer to a new primary care provider, I was informed that my records had been destroyed. This is a complete violation of HIPAA regulations and Delaware state law. Despite bringing these issues to their attention, the office manager refused to discuss the matter with me. However, I have called this office multiple times over the last week and left four different voicemails. The staff never picks up or returns calls during business hours. I understand that these are health care professionals and that it gets busy and they have to address the patients that are present. However, what about the patients who call in? Or have questions or health concerns. It seems as if this practice is too busy to give patients a call back. This is disheartening because I've never had a negative experience until now. Because of my most recent negative experience, I will more than likely look for a new office to take care of my medicalneeds being that this office doesn't address concerned patients.
