Not bad, not GOOD, but not bad. The service was pretty slow, we ran out of alcohol and water several times and the waitress sometimes didn't notice we were empty and didn't normally ask for a refill. Our seating was cramped, and for a party of only 6 people i couldn't believe how closely our space resembled a meat packing facility (no room for wiggling!!!!) lol. The food was a win, the wings crispy and flavorful and the waitress was friendly which we appreciated. The issue and loss of stars was just the fact that we felt like we sat there and couldn't get a beverage or a waitress for the life of us. This place is super, super under the radar if you're not a local. It's not unusual for me to take a quick look at Google Maps by my office to scope out some potential lunch spots, but Lynch's wasn't on there - it took me almost a year to discover that it even existed, and it was only because it showed up in my nearby Yelp activity feed that I checked randomly one day. Part of the issue is that Lynch's apparently changed locations within the past year or so, but this is a lesson to keep your eyes open and your radar attuned. I did not expect to end up having a meal randomly at a golf course, but here we are. If you're coming from 202 and have never been here before, it's easy to miss the turn to the restaurant - the prominent signage for some reason is facing southbound drivers, so I actually drove past it the first time. I'd put something out for the northbound adventurers in the future. It also didn't occur to me until I was actually in the parking lot, but of course there's a slight risk to your car when you park next to a golf course. There was tons of nearby netting but I side-eyed the "Park At Your Own Risk" sign pretty hard as I drove by (a sign much easier to spot than the one for the restaurant). My car was perfectly fine; something tells me the gentleman on the nearby putting green was not much of a threat. The fall foliage was at absolute peak, so even if this had been a dumpster fire of an experience, at least I got to admire the scenery on the way in. The vibe is hard to explain, but my biggest takeaway is that the bar/restaurant isn't their bread and butter. You can see from the adjoining dining areas that this place is probably into catering events more than serving day-to-day customers; there were at least two banquet hall-type rooms, and it looked like you could sit down there for lunch, but it seemed more appropriate to me to either sit right at the bar or at one of the nearby high-tops. It's also interesting to be in a restaurant with prominent views of the trophy cases and golf pencils out in the main area of the club. This is not a golf course I'd describe as bougie compared to some others in the tristate area, but there were definitely a lot of old white guys namedropping Westchester and Manhattan in one part of the bar, while local Rockland old white guys were in a different section. It was an interesting non-diverse mix. The women at the bar were very nice and hospitable. I was given a menu immediately, and I had no issues tracking anyone down; they were nearby at all times, ready to assist. I went with a plain hamburger cooked medium rare with a side of fries. Honestly? Not great. The burger was not cooked evenly, and the vast majority of it was close to well done, which I consider to be pretty tasteless. The middle bites were by far the tastiest because they were actually more medium rare, but the entire burger was pretty greasy and I had to be careful in how I handled the bovine because the grease kept dripping onto my hands. Not something I'd get again, though I did like the automatic inclusion of the English muffin, which is an underrated cattle accompaniment, in my opinion. The fries were pretty good; they definitely needed ketchup for flavoring purposes, but by and large they were crispy (which is my preference) and did the job. It's hard to walk away from this thinking about a potential return visit, but the service and staff were very good - it makes me think again that this is more of a candidate for a birthday party, etc. than a Thursday afternoon bite. read more

Great bar and restaurant. Went there after the death of a great friend. We took over the bar and the owners and most of the staff were great. Good food and drinks, the only issue I had was with one of the bartenders who didn't seem to like me very much, lol. Despite this being a fully paid for event she kept trying to charge me for my drinks saying they weren't included. Afterwards, she said they are now fully covered but then later told me the bar was closed but kept serving other patrons. I don't know what her problem was with me but I had a great time despite her. We recently had our local N.R.H.S. reunion for the Class of 1970 # 53 ( we were denied our get together during covid for # 50). Lynch's provided an amazing experience! The food was excellent, as was the service and the venue with great views of the Greens! The entire staff was professional, efficient, considerate and helpful in every way. Special thanks to Patti for coordinating and going over the top to make our night special, the staff was on top of all of our needs, James, Trish, Siobhan, Devin and others that I apologize for not getting their names to thank for a great night! Came for lunch with my mom and grandparents. I had a burger and it was pretty tasty. Nothing amazing, pretty average. My mom says their dinners are really good so maybe I'll come back to try a dinner soon. Prices are good, though. Went in for a quiet Sunday afternoon lunch after reading other reviews. A quiet Sunday afternoon during lunchtime and we were the only ones there, save A few patrons at the bar. Quickly seated, and attended to by friendly waitress. Good sized menu of usual pub/grub type meals. The food arrived and everything was fine the only issue for the rest of the meal was that the waitress seem to have disappeared on us. We would have ordered more items to try, but after a long wait, had to get someone from the bar to get our bill and pay. Maybe just a glitch that day? Nice place, would try again. read more

I have eaten at Lunch's many times in the past 20 years. I have always been happy with my experience. Tonight I called to make a reservation and was told there was a bar table top available. When I mentioned I would be coming in with my service dog all of a sudden the table became unavailable. Jennifer said "the entire restaurant was completely booked and there was no way I could be accommodated, Good night" !! I was so surprised by her rudeness. My husband called five minutes later and asked about a table for 2 (he did not mention our service dog) ...the table was now miraculously available. LUNCH'S has lost our business. We just had our Holiday party at Lynch's on Saturday night. I can not begin to say enough great things about the service here as well as the food. The staff Erica & Vanessa took fabulous care of all of us making sure we had the drinks we wanted and plates cleared. The owner Kevin aka the "meat carver" was very very accomadating! The antipasto was fresh, flavorful and plentiful. We had chicken marsala which was delicious. Chicken was cooked perfectly. I was surrounded by steak lovers and they said the steak was cooked to perfection. The last dish was fish. So I am not a fish lover unless it is covered with batter and fried which this was not. My husband (the steak and fish lover) told me that he thought I would actually like the fish. I tried it and not only did I like it, I went up and got a piece ...along with more chicken marsala. Then my favorite part of any meal came along..dessert. We had choices of cheesecake and chocolate mousse. The mousse was fabulous along with a cup of coffee...yum. We asked Erica if she could take a picture of our group and she did. She made sure she could see everyone in the picture before she took it. We have gotten take out from here too. We enjoyed a very nice lunch experience at this out-of-the way place on a weekday afternoon. I wish my hometown (in Texas) had something similar. Lynch's is fairly unassuming from the outside. Don't let that fool you. There are linens on the tables and servers who want you to leave happy. (The cooks and bartenders seem to concur.) I had the fish & chips. Not only could I not clean my plate, I actually left there feeling guilty about it. Everything was served searing hot and nicely crisp. It was odd that it didn't come with slaw, but then again, I'm sure they would've happily brought it to me had I asked. My sister in-law ordered a hamburger on an English muffin. It had ham & cheese on it as well. She liked it. I didn't taste it, but I saw that the burger was nicely cooked. It looked really good. My wife had the Caesar Salad. I would like to talk about how delicious it looked, but I'm not a salad guy. (She liked it though.) The three of them sampled a pumpkin soup and said that that alone made Lynch's a destination point. For me, it was not only the food, but the outstanding beer selection and friendly service. Looks like a nice dinner destination, or place to hold a party or reception. It's a really beautiful and spacious inside! My friend and I stopped in just for a glass of wine and ended up ordering the burger sliders. The sliders were average, but still did the job done of satisfying my hunger. It also came with home made fries. There's an option to either get four sliders or two. Getting two sliders that come with the fries was $5. The staff was also extremely friendly and checked up on us a couple of times. They made us feel very welcomed! Had a party of 30+ at Lynch's to celebrate my college graduation. From the moment we stepped foot in the door to plan, Kevin was nothing short of amazing. We had to postpone the party due to a family emergency, and Kevin handled the situation with grace, simply telling us that we could pick a new date as soon as life calmed down. The party on Saturday (9/14/13) was everything I dreamed of and more! Food (penne ala vodka, chicken francese, and fish in a tomato and garlic sauce) was phenomenal, and the waitresses who worked the party were more than attentive to my (and my guests') every need. Kevin himself came around multiple times, making sure that I (as the guest of honor) was happy and smiling. Lynch's takes care of the cake as part of the party package - they order from Carousel Cakes in Nanuet (the BEST cake bakery in the county!). Chocolate mousse cake was amazing! Do not go to this establishment. This is the rudest restaurant ever. Called at 6:30 to find out what the specials were. Was told that they no longer had food and was promptly hung up on. When I called back to see if that was just for takeout or whether they were not serving food, as it is St Patrick's Day, they picked the phone up and promptly hung up. This kind of behavior is beyond disgusting. The owner should be ashamed that they treat their cliental this way. My family and I live locally and we will never step food back in the door. I do not expect that with the current climate we are in and with this kind of treatment that they will last much longer. read more
