I love a good breakfast/brunch place and for a local restaurant this is one of my absolute favorites. I have gone on a Sunday Morning where it gets busy, it's noisy and full of the energy. On each of my visits I've have waited less than 5 minutes for a table, and have seen large parties come in and get sat fairly quickly. The waitstaff is always friendly and they are fast. Chris favorite pancakes and the strawberry crepes were light and fluffy texture. The toppings were fresh fruit, nothing was under ripen. The food was piping hot and the delivered quickly. The carnitas breakfast taco as were a special and I subbed in fries. Their fries are awesome and usually what I sub in for home fries. I am trying to be good and get some protein. However, I gladly help out my sister with her pancakes. If you like thick, bready, heavy pancakes then don't come here. I don't understand how this place has 4 stars. I've visited the pancake factory in Stony Point a hand full of times hoping that it would be better, but it's not. We ordered three appetizers and two entrées. Everything was terrible. The fried calamari was tough and had a very fishy taste. The nachos was a blob of cheese on top. It was not layered. The bread on tuna melt was very greasy, I'm assuming from all the butter. It was not a typical tuna melt. The chicken was very over cooked. What a gem ! Heading up to do some outlet shopping this was only a short detour. Well worth it. Breakfast/brunch is my FAVORITE meal so this place had a great variety of sweet and savory combos. The food was fresh, portions very generous, and of high quality. I was pleasantly surprised to have oranges and grapefruit that had clearly be cut by hand recently instead of some syrupy canned stuff. Great option for breakfast! Found this spot on google/Yelp when we were camping nearby and looking for a place to eat in the morning after checking out. Rainbow pancakes are so good! The ice cream is yummy on the top! Great for sharing since the portion was pretty big. For the lox eggs Benedict, I swapped in sweet potato fries and they came out pretty good too! Get some fresh orange juice on the side! Some other items my group ordered that were skippable: Lox bagel, bagel was average but huge portion and so much salmon, more than enough to spread on the bagel and they add more veggies on the side, so much food left over we had to pack some to go. Burger was also average and skippable (fries too). Very friendly and attentive staff, food comes out quick and the waiters keep coming back to check on us to see if everything's ok. Being a breakfast person I love pancakes and have to try any pancake specific place, while my pancakes were EXCELLENT I can't say much more. It has a weird vibe and the name is a bit of an understatement as their menu is so broad it takes away from the "pancake" aspect. I guess for pancakes they hit the spot but I probably won't return as it seems they are straying away from their name and pushing dinners and even have a drink bar. We ordered sausage and the inside was cold/raw and had to be sent back. We got new ones which were thoroughly cooked. I'd recommend this place for breakfast/pancakes but not much more. Stopped in while visiting because it sounded interesting. The one drawback to this place is it is LOUD! Especially when packed with a few tables full of very excited children! If you don't mind the noise, however, the food is actually pretty good. We were pretty surprised to find that even though it's called the pancake factory, the menu had a large variety of foods. The draw for us, though, was the pancakes so that's what we ordered. I don't recall the names of the pancakes we ordered but mine had Nutella with strawberries and bananas. Who doesn't like Nutella? It was delicious! The berries definitely helped to cut the sweetness and the bananas made the while thing much more filling. The other two were one with blueberry pancakes tipped with strawberries and coconut and chocolate chip pancakes topped with peanut butter and chocolate and bananas. We ordered: -Banana Oreo Pancakes: of course we had to order pancakes! They were what we expected (nothing more nothing less), coming with three large pancakes covered with crumbled Oreos on top and banana chunks inside them. -Triple Decker Sandwich with Waffle Fries: The waffle fries were good! But it was pretty dry and under seasoned, and would've been better with some sauce. -Irish Benedict with Sweet Potato Fries: This was my favorite dish-the corned beef hash was very flavorful and hollandaise sauce tied it all together!! This one blew me away. But the sweet potato fries were soggy and kind of a letdown. I recommend getting regular fries instead. -Patriot's Omelette with Home Fries: This was bland and under seasoned. It was a veggie omelette that needed some spice. Same with the home fries-under seasoned and could've been crispier. -Waffle Burger with Regular Fries: This was also kind of a letdown. The waffle was soggy on the bottom (there's a reason every restaurant doesn't have a waffle burger in existence, and that's why). But the fries were flaky and yummy!
