I got my lip filler from Dr. Chung two weeks ago. I told her that my lower lip, on the right side was slightly fuller than my left side and it looked imbalance so I requested to put more filler on the left side to make it more balance. But as it turned out, after it was injected, the left side of the lower lip is still thinner than the right side (non symmetrical). On top of that, I also noticed on the next day my upper lip had filler migration and it was so obvious so I went back two days later to have the whole filler on upper lip dissolved. I am disappointed. I paid $775.00 for this. I learned just because a lip injector is an MD does not mean she/he does a better job that an ARNP when it comes to this type of work. I have had lip filler procedures on my lips more three times in the past and it was always done by an ARNP and I always had great results. read more

I received a referral to Dr. Kierney's office for a breast reduction from my primary doctor. Dr. Lynn Chung was my doctor for my procedure. I received assistance from their staff on obtaining approval from my insurance company for the breast reduction. Dr. Chung did an excellent job on informing me on what I could expect for the actual procedure and recovery. I had requested that at least a 800 grams be removed and she exceeded my expectations. I'm very pleased with the results and wish I had the procedure done years ago. It has been life changing. Dismissive and tried to up charge. I went in for a chin and jaw filler appointment. I have a chin implant that I've had for 25 years, and I am well aware that their are always risks with any type of fillers, but she tried to charge me over $3000 claiming it's $200 bucks extra for the chin area. And I know it costs $675 per tube of filler so to try and charge me over $3000 for filler is criminal! The front desk girl I booked an appointment with the week prior, called me on Monday 5 times within a half an hour to verify my appointment, and kept calling me Michelle. By about the third time, I said to her, I literally talked to you 30 seconds ago and you're still calling me Michelle?? The staff is clueless and the place tries to up charge. I felt like I had been written off when the girl came in with the price, and I told her I wanted to talk to the Dr again, and she told me it would be 45 minutes before she'd be done with her consult. I was like what?? It's my appointment right now to have this done and she just dismissed me. Go somewhere else. I went there years ago when Dr Stanley Jackson owned it. He was amazing. This place is a joke. I made an appointment with Eterna Vein right down the road from them. I've been there before and the staff is great and the Doctors are as well. I couldn't get into see them until February, but it screams volumes of what kind of place it is, if you can't get in to see them until after the first of the year. When I made my appointment with Eterna Vein, I asked them if they charge for different types of fillers, and they said absolutely not, they charge by the tube as it usually is... but not at Dr Kierney and Dr Chungs office. This review is NOT for Dr. Chung, but for one of her receptionists. I work in mental health and see a trans client that had to speed up their timeline for top surgery as they found out they were going to lose their insurance. They called Dr. Chung's office and were asked for their BMI. They gave it and were told not only that their BMI was too high for surgery (they have not run into this rule with any other surgeon they have spoken to) but that they should try "walking around the block and eating a carrot." It was so insulting and disheartening and they were really upset. You cannot extrapolate someone's health behaviors from their BMI, and even if they were sedentary and ate unhealthily (neither is true), how is that comment motivating or helpful in the slightest? read more

I am almost 40 and have been noticing some aging in my face lately. I have thin lips and notice some wrinkles starting to form around my mouth. I also notice my crows feet and frown lines now as well. I had Dr. Chung put some filler in my lips (1 syringe of Volbella) and some botox around my eyes and forehead. I filled out an online request form for a breast augmentation. The next day I got a phone call and was in the office the next week. Walking into the office, was greeted by the friendly receptionist. She made the last bit of my nerves go away. Answered all of my question. Pros and cons for me and my body type. What would be a good fit for me. Unfair pricing system!. I have no idea how they calculate their prices but some people get a ridiculous discount ($1500 for a $6000 knee / thigh liposuction), whilst others will be quoted an extortionate fee ($4500 for liposuction on a much smaller area than that mentioned above). Personally I felt that I was being lied to and played. My friend was offered this amazing discount after being informed by the doctor that other hospitals over charge and that $6000 dollars is not the real cost of knee / thigh liposuction. Meantime I was told that the higher quote I got for a much smaller body area (chin) was a discount and I should be thankful. Yeah right. I have ONE chin and it is smaller than TWO legs!!!! LOVE Dr Chung's work! I was referred to Dr Chung by a friend. I went to see her for botox around my eyes & juvederm in my lip. I was so pleased by the results & the high quality care I received. The botox makes my eyes pop & lifts my eyebrows just enough to make my eyes a little bigger & brighter. The Juvederm is the perfect amount to make my non-existent upper lip a little more plump but not crazy duck lips very subtle :) Dr Chung was very clear and concise & discussed the potential risks and the realistic results of the procedures. Even when I had a little mini-anxiety attack about the needles (I started sweating profusely...not cute) Dr Chung made me comfortable & at ease & was very professional. I've been seeing Dr. Chung for nearly a year at her office in Laurel Heights. I had a very deep glabella frown line between my eyes and started noticing small wrinkles around my eyes and forehead so it was time to dip into the 'fountain of youth!' I was brand new to aesthetic procedures and Dr. Chung was very thorough in our consultation. She described the expected results and risks of the procedures available to me from botox, to fillers, to laser treatments (Fraxel) but did not try to 'up-sell' anything to me. I started with Botox treatment around my eyes then graduated to Juvederm for my glabella frown line (phenomenal results!). Dr. Chung is also one of the first physicians in the US to offer a new botox-equivalent (Xeomin) which I tried at my recent visit (forehead wrinkles and around the eyes) and I love the results! Dr. Chung is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about her work and it shows! I have long-standing appointments with her every 3-4 months and I'm always very pleased with the results. I didn't even know my head was being sutured, she is that good. Over the years, I have done lots of dumb things and have visited many emergency rooms. This time it was Krav Maga, and a giant cut over my eye. I contacted her and she met me late at night after finishing up at the hospital. She opened up her office at 10 pm at night. That's service! I have had the pleasure in meeting Dr. Chung to address scars around my mid-section. Dr. Chung was very knowledgeable, comforting, and last but not least had a plan to overcome my skin. I was given two methods of treatment. Then about 1/2 hour later received voicemail stating that they're a private practice and all this blah blah blah and we could not move forward with my appt. WTF? I originally wanted to meet with Dr Kierney, last year but he was in surgery so they scheduled me with Dr Chung who I knew nothing about, We had a negative experience, to say the least, and she did not listen to my concerns and spent about 5 minutes with me and was quite dismissive. This visit was documented unbeknownst to me. Wow! So, the bottom line here is this. if this esthetician can't do her job without talking to this doctor, first then it's best to spend your time and money elsewhere.
