From my very first consultation through my recovery, Dr. Kim was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. He took the time to answer all of my questions and made me feel comfortable and confident throughout the entire process. My surgery went smoothly with zero complications. The results exceeded my expectations. Dr. Kim takes great pride in his work and truly cares about his patients. I highly recommend Dr. Kim to anyone looking for a skilled plastic surgeon who delivers beautiful results while providing excellent care.

Several weeks later, while traveling internationally, I began feeling extremely sick and developed worsening symptoms. Antibiotics were recommended/called in, but my condition rapidly escalated. I was ultimately diagnosed overseas with an MSSA staph infection that progressed to sepsis, requiring emergency hospitalization in Nice, France. I was taken by ambulance to the hospital with a documented fever of approximately 105 degrees and severe vomiting, and I ultimately underwent emergency explant surgery. I had drain placed and remained hospitalized in France for almost a while recovering. This was one of the most traumatic and frightening experiences of my life. Being seriously ill in a foreign country where I did not speak the language made the situation even more terrifying and isolating. In addition to the emotional and physical trauma, this situation also created significant financial consequences for me, including the original surgery costs, emergency ambulance transport, hospitalization and medical care in France, canceled travel plans, changed flights, and the loss of the European trip I had planned. recovery after this was extremely difficult, and I continued to seek medical care for ongoing symptoms and concerns after returning home. I understand that complications can happen with any surgery. However, based on my personal experience, I was deeply disappointed by the communication, bedside manner, follow-up, and level of support I felt I received during and after this medical crisis. In my opinion, the response did not feel as urgent or supportive as I would have expected given the severity of what I was experiencing. Separate from the medical emergency itself, I was also ultimately unhappy with my cosmetic results. I underwent a revision procedure and I paid additional costs for internal pocket revision work intended to improve implant positioning and symmetry. Despite this, I personally felt the final result appeared uneven, including noticeable asymmetry between my breasts. When I raised concerns, I personally did not feel that my concerns were meaningfully addressed or that I was offered a satisfactory path forward. Given both the aesthetic outcome and the severe medical complications that followed, this entire experience was incredibly disappointing and traumatic for me overall. This review reflects solely my personal experience and opinion as a patient.

I went to see Dr. Ahdoot for pain in my right hip. It started as a snapping and popping sensation,…read morethen gradually progressed to occasional pain with simple activities like walking or getting out of a chair or car, along with general stiffness. I am very active, so I tried to push through it with physical therapy, chiropractic care, and lots of stretching. These helped for a short time, although I was still physically strong, the pain persisted and continued to worsen. I had never had surgery before, so I was nervous and hesitant to go under the knife. I made simple lifestyle adjustments--limiting certain activities, using seat cushions, and modifying how I moved--but it wasn't enough. The final straw was when I was shopping with my daughter and was in excruciating pain just from walking. That's when I decided it was time. Dr. Ahdoot was quick to get me scheduled for surgery. He and his team helped me navigate insurance and guided me through all the steps needed to prepare. On the day of surgery, the DISC Center in Marina del Rey was phenomenal. They immediately helped put me at ease. Since this was my first surgery, I was very anxious. I had some difficulty fully waking up from anesthesia and developed nausea, but the nurses were wonderful--keeping me comfortable and helping me get moving. I was walking within hours after surgery (with a walker, of course). Within three days, I no longer needed the walker, and aside from mild surgical pain and some muscle stiffness, I already felt significantly better. I am 52 and initially thought this was just a pulled muscle or bursitis because I am otherwise healthy. I was hesitant and skeptical that I needed surgery, but after dealing with the pain for nearly three years, I am so glad I went through with it. Eight weeks after the surgery, my endurance is quickly improving, I am moving without pain and have no restrictions in movement. I had a minimally invasive total hip replacement using the anterior approach. For an additional cost, I opted for a prosthetic customized to my body structure. This allowed the surgeon to avoid cutting any ligaments or tendons, which is crucial for recovery and long-term stability. My incision is about three inches long and healing quickly. I am also a Type 1 diabetic, and we typically heal more slowly and can have more complications. I'm happy to say I am healing very well and have had no issues related to my diabetes. During surgery, I was even able to keep my insulin pump and CGM attached. The anesthesiologist monitored my blood sugar throughout the procedure, which allowed me to stay on my routine and maintain good control before, during, and after surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Ahdoot. He has a calm, steady temperament that immediately puts you at ease. He is confident in his skills, patient, and never made me feel pressured. I was extremely hesitant about surgery, but he simply educated me and presented the facts of my situation. He told me that when I was ready, I would know--and he was right.

The entire surgery from skin to skin (from the time he cut me to the time he stitched me up) only took only 13 MINUTES (Let that sink in) most surgeries like mine last 45 minutes!!! He documented and told me that my ACL was intact. That was completely A LIE. Months later after constantly complaining I couldn't walk I had a second opinion, another surgeon discovered my ACL was torn and had recoiled into a stump. He called it an obvious finding that should never have been missed (It was a softball thing to miss was the exact words). The surgery was stopped since my ACL was destroyed and I needed a cadaver ACL placed in my knee by allograft! After surgery, there was zero proper follow-up. Physical therapy was severely delayed. I was cleared to return to heavy physical work far too soon while still in significant pain and swelling. This completely derailed my recovery. I went from trying to stay mobile to becoming wheelchair and scooter dependent, with a locked knee, severe muscle atrophy, nerve damage, and constant pain. My quality of life has been destroyed. Do not go to Dr. Ahdoot. He is rushed, dismissive, and provides substandard care. I would never recommend him. He doesn't even talk with his patients...you only see his PA's!
