Dr. Eghbali doesn't care about his patients!! I made a follow up appt last year per his recommendation for cataract in my left eye. I showed up at 2:25 today and was told I was 15 minutes late so he wouldn't see me. They said my appt was at 2:15, a lie. I told them my appt is at 2:30 AND I called and confirmed yesterday. They told me the Dr said I was late and he had somewhere to be. I was turned away and lied to! I've been waiting for a year because my eye wasn't ready. I've been excited about this appt and this is what I get. Such garbage! I was offered another appointment next week, but I won't bother going to a liar and a chicken that sent his receptionist to lie to me as well. She knows the truth by the way, she saw the appointment on my phone and their computer.

Eye protector in place after cataract surgery - no discomfort - an amazing process!

Drs. Eghbali are excellent at what they do, and Linda and their staff at East Valley Eye Center are friendly and efficient. I had two cataract surgeries in a row - one for each eye, a month apart, and I couldn't be happier--no complications, no pain, just brand new, brighter, more colorful distance vision requiring no distance glasses for the first time in 28 years.

Me after two treatments. Can't wait to see after the full 4.

I was getting very frustrated with the long list of eye drops and surgical interventions my previous Opthalmologist was suggesting to address my dry eye symptoms, without much success. Itching and burning I could manage, but not the constant tearing. I had to carry around tissues in my sleeve like a grandma! My friend referred me to Dr. Eghbali. After just one IPL treatment with him, my tearing stopped completely and I began using far fewer eye drops per day -- one or two, not 10 +. Bonus: my rosacea is clearing up, I have fewer visible age spots (I'm 50) and broken capillaries. My facial redness is diminishing. Yes, it hurts during the procedure, especially if your skin is sensitive like mine, but the pain is over pretty quickly and the results are impressive. Also, Dr. Eghbali listens to his patients and is very caring. I highly recommend him.

All throughout my exam he was NASTY RUDE. I'm a disabled vet (100%) and two different doctors at the VA told me that I had a tear in my retina When I asked him about the tear he got very rude and informed me that he saw no tear and kept reminding me that he was a doctor and that he saw no tear so that I shouldn't be questioning him.I was merely asking a question but he choose to be RUDE when he answered me.Every questio I adked was met by a condescending ,rude, and Nasty answer.Uncalled for.I was told twice by VA doctors I needed eye surgery to repair a tien retina.I was told in 2024 by a female doctor and once again this past August of 2025 by a male doctor. Dr. Hirji is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate. What stood out most to me was how well she listened. I had been dealing with symptoms for a long time and she took the time to really hear my concerns and explain what was happening with my eyes. She also set very clear and realistic expectations about the procedure and the recovery, which I appreciated. The procedure itself went very smoothly, and I felt very comfortable in her care. Her staff and office were also very well organized. They were upfront about the length of appointments and scheduling so there were no surprises, which made the whole process much easier. If her office were closer to my home (it's a 24-mile drive and roughly an hour each way for me, longer if traffic is backed up), I would absolutely continue seeing her long term. I would highly recommend Dr. Hirji to anyone needing a glaucoma specialist.

My initial referral appointment took place in March 2026. I then returned twice in April 2026 for additional diagnostic testing and to complete required consent forms. Despite complying with all requested appointments and documentation, I was informed on May 6, 2026, by Alicia that there is currently no available building or facility to complete the cataract removal procedure and that approval has not yet been obtained through my insurance. This ongoing delay has become detrimental to my overall quality of life. My vision impairment continues to affect my daily functioning, independence, safety, and emotional well-being. I am deeply concerned that this matter reflects a lack of urgency, empathy, and proper coordination of care. The prolonged postponement of medically necessary treatment feels neglectful and has caused unnecessary stress and suffering. I respectfully request immediate clarification regarding:* The current status of insurance authorization* The expected timeline for surgery approval and scheduling* What actions are being taken to prevent further delays in care I also request that this grievance be formally documented and reviewed by management, patient relations, and any appropriate oversight department. Thank you for your prompt attention to this serious matter. I look forward to a timely resolution and appropriate follow-up. Sincerely, Bobby Strong

Full disclose, this review is regarding my experience only ordering glasses, no optometrist visit…read more TLDR: I got what I needed, but will keep looking for a different place for my family's needs. My toddler daughter needed glasses and we already had a prescription from her pediatric Ophthalmologist. I was searching for a place closer to home that carried toddler frames, because the recommendations from her pediatric Ophthalmologist at the Dohney eye institute in Pasadena were all in SGV. I called New Vision specifically asking about frames for my 20-month old and after being satisfied with their answers, made an appointment. However, their selection was disappointing and they didn't have the strap-on toddler frames, as I was told on the phone. I went with the only viable option reluctantly because I wanted to get the glasses and didn't want to waste more time. I gave them the prescription (in paper form) and they had trouble with their scanner so told me they'd give it back to me when we picked up the glasses. I asked if my daughter needed to be present, and they said yes. When glasses were ready, they texted me at 3:48 Friday asking me to make an appointment, and said they were closing at 4:15 and reopened on Monday. Had I been notified even a couple hours earlier, I could have rearranged my schedule instead of waiting until Monday. So that was disappointing. Finally when picking them up, my daughter tried them on but they didn't really do anything else so not sure why my daughter needed to be present or why I needed to make an appointment. And they also didn't have the paper prescription that I had been promised. The person giving me the glasses made zero effort and just told me how easy it is to request it again from the ophthalmologist office. I obviously know this. This just underscored to me that things aren't communicated properly about patient requests.
