I always call when they open and schedule for the same day. My little one (5 year old) comes with me to get a mani and pedi and they treat her like a princess. So sweet with her. Worst experience! Very unkind ladies. And you are catholic, shame on you. Bad experience from start to finish and have never been prompted to leave, ever! Quite the contrary have been asked many times to stay as long as wanted. I paid $101 to be treated unkindly. Worst nail salon experience of my life. And sad to say, but the salon is old, dirty and lifeless. I was trying to enjoy the chair massage and the lady who did my feet brought my shoes while the other brought kiosk to pay. Over charged as well, man who left told me different amount. Very rude ladies who just wanted to leave at 7:40pm. I got there a little before 7. Never go again! Don't go. Some advice to the 2 ladies! As a business owner myself, I appreciate and love my customers. They help keep me in business and I'm grateful because they help put food on my table and pay my bills!!! And I also love providing them with good service because it reflects how I appreciate them and feels good to make them smile. Y'all need to find joy to give it to others. When I walked in, I mentioned I need a pedicure and a manicure by the time I was seated (Unfortunately) I received a phone call for about 45 seconds. By the end of call before talking to me my nails were prepped for a dip manicure and tips were being glued. I hesitantly stopped them and I mentioned - hey I want a spa manicure first and don't want tips to be added. She paused and continued to add tips and after finishing adding tips on both hands. She asked it's okay I will cut it. (Again - I didn't want any tips added to begin with) I annoyingly said sure go ahead. If you see my nails.. I absolutely did not get what I wanted. The length, the services or even the color. Nails are unfinished, didn't get a manicure service at all. Nails were not cleaned or no oil massage. Work was so poor, one side bulky, other flat, cuticle cracked, edges bumpy and uneven filled. I was very disappointed by this visit. Please know, Essence is one of my favorite spots to get a great pedicure. If you plan to visit.. please be more courageous than I was and speak up or make sure you get what you want.
