From the time I sat down in the pedicure chair today until the time I left was 2 hours and 50 minutes. I only had basic polish and just on my normal nails. I watched at least half a dozen people come in after me and get a full service and get to go on with their day while I had the longest experience. The person doing my nails wiped her nose with her arm or hand every few minutes before touching my hand again. I do understand that it could just be seasonal allergies, but since the service requires lots of skin to skin contact I didn't love that. She was very friendly, but took two and a half hours to do three basic coats of paint on my hands and toes. Now I know what you're thinking - I thought you said you were there for nearly 3 hours? I was. She was drying my nails with a small portable fan that looked like it came from the dollar store. I saw the standard heat lamp station behind her, but no patrons were asked to use it. She then told me I was all set and I told her I didn't think my hands were dry. She touched a finger and said they were. Trusting her judgement, I walked over to pay and got out my wallet. I then walked out the door, looked at my nails, and turned around to walk right back in. My left hand was completely smudged off. She said she'd fix it and repainted my entire left hand. She then sat the little fan next to me for 2 minutes and told me it was probably dry and to "just be careful driving home". I told her I was left handed and knew they weren't dry, but the rest of the staff were waiting with their belongings to leave since the business was now past closing. I sat in my car drying my hands at the air vents, crying because I just spent three hours trying to do something nice for myself and it was such a bad time. She was apparently parked next to me, because I saw her get in her car. She saw me and said "just be careful!" through the window. They smudged again by the time I got home. If you're looking for the viral Cajun shrimp Opi color, they have it - but depending who you get to work on your nails you'll only see it for the length of a Martin Scorcese movie before it peels off and you're allowed to leave. read more

I'm being extremely generous here with 2 stars. I had a horrible experience here. Over 2 hours for a classic pedicure and basic manicure. Bubbles all in the paint and the edging looks terrible. I will say, I suspect this person is new. She was extremely nervous and shaky and I honestly feel bad for her. I understand people need to get their reps in but don't charge full price for amateur work. They have raised their prices higher than some places in Dallas. I throughly enjoyed each moment of my time there. I don't like feeling rushed during pedicures , meaning I like to be massaged and scrubbed down for AT LEAST 1.5 hr and I got just that with the Vitamin Pedicure. $50 for hot stones , paraffin wax , soy candle massage AND fresh aloe Vera and lime during my foot soak... unbelievable!! I paid an additional $10 for French with a gel coat so $60 in total. I'm SUPER picky when it comes to my feet and I left smiling. I guess my search for a nail salon continues in Dallas... I went to the salon mid afternoon. No other customers were there and I was sat quickly. My tech was really sweet and helped me pick out a nice color; however, you could tell this was her first time. She was very nervous holding the drill, she did not let the gel soak long enough so it would come off easily, and she had to fix spillover after the gel cured multiple times. Instead of her colleagues helping her out or giving her pointers, they lounged on their phones while she was struggling. I understand everyone has to start somewhere and I don't mind being a guinea pig. I do expect a beginner to be taught correctly and not be thrown a client with no confidence in a drill. She was unsure the difference in my nail bed and my previous nail polish (it was a nude color). Consequently, she drilled too far on my nail bed on my pinky. It took a hour and half for a polish change... no manicure. I was hopeful based on the reviews, but I won't be returning. read more

Love this salon, I highly recommend calling ahead to make a reservation as they can get quite busy. That's because they provide a great service for a reasonable price. Once I arrived I waited for 15 minutes with my feet captured in the foot spa to be tended too. They closed at 7:30 and the massage seemed rush to get me out right at closing time. Everyone is so welcoming at this nail salon and very accommodating. I never felt rushed during my entire time I was there, it was actually really fun. Even though they were busy on a Friday evening, they were so nice and the employees spoke to each other like they were family. This might seem like a small detail but I loved how they displayed the nexgen nail colors in a single stand so you can see all the nail colors right in front of you and compare instead of looking one by one. I think the manager did my nails when I went and she was so detailed and made sure my nails were nice and smooth. The salon itself is very clean and smells fresh. Last few times I've gotten nexgen nails at a different salon, I could feel dents in my nails and they were uneven. But at Glow I left with such nice nails, no dents or rough corners. My first pedi in Dallas and I really enjoyed it. I called in advance (about 2 hours) and set up an appointment for my son and I. We arrived about 10 minutes early but they were expecting us and before our appointment time we were seated in the Big Massage chairs with the chair in full operation. The lady asked us to check the temperature and it was good so our feet was soaking as the chair kneeded and prodded our backs...awesome!!! The place is very clean and quiet and the staff are very friendly. The owner was very talkative and very customer service based. Their prices are very affordable and they make sure you leave their salon feeling brand new and happy. I paid $85 for a new set of nails with a gel polish, nail take down and the glow pedicure. My nail technician was very friendly and she said she hasn't done long nails in a while (I like mine extra long when compared to most) but she took her time to make sure I was pleased with the services rendered. I recommend this salon if you are looking for a simple nail salon. Their prices are super affordable and the staff is nice! Began going here about a year ago as I needed to become loyal to a new shop close to the house. All started off well. Great loyalty and discount program that kept you coming back ( that's now ended and there was no notice, I've heard quite a few returning customers very upset about that ). I started going during summer time and needless to say I wear some occasionally showy clothing, about my 3rd time going there I guess they felt comfortable enough to talk about me (saying what I was wearing was showy) but then when I called them out on it they brushed it off as "girl we we're saying that's cute" like we're friends. One honest pedicure technician, Wendy was the only saving grace and her devotion during pedicures and desire to please had me give them another chance. About 4 months later I had set an apt as I had a gala the next day, and came in only to have someone else be given my apt time ( with an apt as well ). I was beyond irritated and disrespected as I had been making apts for months and as a single mom only have a sitter for a short amount of time while I run errands. Again, their apologies kept me. Until this past week ( now about 3 months later ) where all my nails (attached) just keep breaking and one of the colors keeps fading/dying by clothes.
