Very Unprofessional.. Lynn yelled at Sunny for 10 minutes about taking my acrylic overlay job. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I had never felt more uncomfortable before in any nail salon until I came here. Going to the nail salon should be something fun and relaxing and this was the opposite. I paid half the bill and walked out and wish I hadn't paid a cent. I only paid because I felt badly for Sunny. Lynn has anger issues and makes everyone uncomfortable. this was my first time back in 5+ years and the place has deteriorated horribly with hoarder tendencies. I was in the area and thought I'd get a nail job. I WILL NEVER GO BACK!! If you're looking for a good place go to OCEAN NAILS in Universal City... go see Don and Tina. read more

AWFUL!! He messed up the alterations & then lied about it! I had a tight window to get alterations done & this was clearly conveyed. Told would be ready in time. Called on due date & told "It's not ready. I'm very busy." Explained I needed by the day promised, period - busy or not. When I picked up the next day, the garments had the zippers switched - the zippers I PROVIDED. I had watched him pin them to the jackets to make sure they were right because these are profesionnal outdoor gear that require specific zippers. That's why I PROVIDED THE ZIPPERS. I pointed out the mistake & he said that I okayed the switch! That is a LIE. He never asked. I never okayed. When i asked for $ back on the most important gear because it would have to be redone, he refused! Said he could fix in 3 weeks! Too late! We all make mistakes. Be accountable, make it right and DON'T LIE!! read more

I go there all of the time. Tell them what you want. They have been very polite and friendly. If you have a problem let them know right away Lynn or Sonny will correct it. Yes Lynn yells or calls on her husband a lot but she is a good person. He understands his wife. read more

0. I had gone to sunny for years. He's an uncle to a fellow classmate I had in middle school. I've always supported the family business until May of 2022. I went to get my eyebrows done, which I've gotten done by the women not Sunny, well he ripped off my actual eyebrow. It's been almost a whole year and it hasn't returned. I had beautiful natural brows and now I will never have that back. Never will anyone touch my brows again. I will never come back here. read more

Buyers beware, I was charged $25.00 each jacket to put a patch, the patches were not put on properly. The ends of the patches are folding up, I believe that an amateur had done the work! Over priced!! I will never return to that alteration shop. The guy said he does motorcycle jackets, obviously not true! Also said to replace my zipper on one jacket he would charge me $55 just for the zipper only plus to install it. I called another shop same price including the zipper! Some shops will say yes to any job even if they've never done it before! read more

I came here to get my nails done and brought in a picture of what I wanted and asked if they were able to and they guy was very confused the entire time. I had on another set and I told him I wanted a new one because the place I went to before did a bad job and they were all popping off. Instead of soaking my nails, he grabbed another nail and pried it off which could have ripped my real nail underneath! After that he was very rough when creating the new nail. The shape in the picture was coffin and he told me I shouldnt get it because my nails are too small but he just didn't want to do the extra work. I have gotten coffin shaped before and they were just fine. He continued to shape them by pulling really hard on the nails putting me in pain. Than when he would bring out the file he would file my skin!! Throughout the whole time he kept taking his phone out and texting and at one point he took out a check and took pictures and sent it to someone. He didn't want to paint my nails so he asked Lynn to do it and she was very nice and did a very good job. Overall the nails are excellent (other than being extremely sore from how harsh he was) but the color looks great. If you come here I recommend you only have Lynn do your nails and not the other older guy! read more

I would not recommend this place to anyone I know. I took my mom and I in for some full sets, and we got treated so horribly. First, they were super rough with our hands and every time we moved in the slightest bit the tech would pull my hands and yell "DONT MOVE" I would never purposely move to interfere with their work, however there was a moment where one of my nails scratched off the polish and so rudely the tech told me "look at what you did. DONT MOVE!!!" And again grabbed my hands aggressively. More to add to the service, it felt very very rushed. She did not even tell us to rinse or wash our hands to remove glue, or any nail particles off our hands and then immediately started rubbing lotion all over our dirty hands. I had never felt more uncomfortable before in any nail salon until I came here. Going to the nail salon should be something fun and relaxing and this was the opposite. I shouldn't even have paid for the final product which I was not satisfied with but because I'm understanding I did without hesitation. My husband and I have gone to Lynn's many times. As my husband is in the military, we have has patches sewn on his uniforms multiple times and I have had a formal dress that was too big altered and it fit perfectly when I picked it up. They have an extremely fast turnaround time and we were completely happy with their service! read more

I have been going to Lynn's for years, for dry cleaning, for alterations and for nails. She is very sweet and her husband is very helpful. My nails are always gorgeous and she carries TONS of nail tips so you never run out of fun choices. The one complaint (the only reason for the 4 star) is sometimes prices magically change from the posted prices when having nails done. Make sure they know what you want and mention the price (I want the $..... set of nails) and you'll be fine. They charged $35 for a brand new set with decorator tips, Not the $20 that is posted, and they don't mention decorator tips are extra. Just beware, other than that they are really a fantastic business, Lynn has worked on my China silk fabric altering it and you really can't find many people in SA that can do that. It is one of the finest most delicate silks. The only time I have ever had a problem with my nails was a few years ago one of her nail techs did one nail kinda funny and it popped off 3 days later. I went back to Lynn and showed her and she put a new nail on free of charge. :-) Overall great business. read more

I went to Lynn's because none of the other alteration shops had any reviews. I wish I had tried a different place though. The shop is also a nail salon. I went there to get my dress altered and was charged $60. When I tried the dress on, it wasn't altered to my liking and the guy insisted that he couldn't make it any tighter because I will not be able to walk or dance in it. I also insisted that it was ok and that I wasn't going to dance or walk in it. :/ So he said fine, but he will have to charge me an additional $10. I asked, "for what?" He said it was because he already altered so much and now I want more. I did not understand the concept of this so I told him he was the one who didn't listen to how I wanted it in the first place. So then, he lowered the price to $5 but I had to pay then rest of the balance for him to do it. Unbelievable. As much as I felt cheated, I said fine. I really just wanted him to finish the job. Finally when I picked it up, it was close enough to what I wanted. So I took my dress and said, "thank you" because I am a very patient customer. At a closer look though, the quality of the alteration was poor. It was well not worth my $65. He didn't even alter the lining the second time. I bet he didn't think I would notice. Well, I did and I do notice it. Never going there again, that's for sure. :/ read more
