i'm new to the Charlotte area and I googled upscale lounges to visit my first experience here I…read morequickly realize it is not a upscale establishment from sitting at the bar and watching someone bust down a cigar fill it with weed and smoke a blunt in the club, which I have nothing against anybody, who smoke however I don't expect this at a upscale establishment had I known this I would've wore something like jeans and a T-shirt however I dress up because I thought it was an upscale establishment. I am very popular back in my hometown maybe not for all good reasons. I come off as a whistleblower but one thing you will never call me as a liar and this last time I went to this establishment the DJ tried to throw shots at me as I'm walking through, which didn't really bother me as much because I don't even know who he is which I feel like it's kind of lame and childish and he's probably broke so I get it if I intimidated him in anyway I don't apologize about that however it's more than just about money cause that just says a lot about his character not mine so if you are a out of town and you're looking for a nice dining lounge experience, this is not the place to go. This is more for local if I had to guess I would say drug users so if you're not into that lifestyle, I don't recommend it. and although the food was good, I will never return back because of the disrespect from the DJ, which was unnecessary and very childish to say the least. hope this helps someone looking for a nice established lounge to visit. This is not it.

DJ plays a great variety from reggaeton, bachata, merengue, salsa etc. They have a coat check that starts at 11pm for $5. They have two floors. One smaller one closer to the entrance and then the big man one towards the center of the floor. They have VIP seating around the club and even stairs that lead up to a VIP section. They have an outside patio but was closed due to it being cold but you are still allowed to go outside and sit at your own discretion. Such a nostalgic place for me. It is more of a younger crowd here just an FYI.

I asked her for the rest of my things and she pulled it out from her drawer under the sink and kept saying sorry bc she was caught. she still stole my birthday envelope which had cash in it. update: we did not get kicked out, we were not throwing up everywhere, if this lady was trying to help us then why would she keep apologizing and pull my wallet out of her pocket? the wallet was in the purse and closed. Before this even happened the lady kept urging us to tip and bc we felt bad we did, then this whole situation happened

Definitely would not recommend attending a show here. Getting through security was more adventurous…read morethan getting through TSA at the airport. We saw them take a Sharpie from someone. The guy even explained that he wanted to meet the band after and have them sign his poster. Too bad. They sent various other people back to their cars for other minor things too. It did not make sense or make us feel any safer. It just made going to a show feel like a chore. Once we were inside we all wanted to grab a beer. This is definitely not the place to do that! They had about 5 beers to choose from all of which I would never ever drink nor would anyone else in our group which is saying a lot because we all have pretty diverse tastes. All of the beers were like $18, even the garbage beers. I expect that price as we pay $19/beer at the hockey games but the arena offers a great selection. I'll pay $19 for a good beer. I saved lots of money at The Underground since they don't have any beer worth drinking. The bartenders at the bar on the left were not friendly and not interested in answering any questions. We ventured to the bar on the right and a few of us ordered mixed drinks.

I didn't even see a handicapped seating area. Lighting is decent and one major positive was they had the a.c. cranked up high on the July evening we were there, when it was like 95 degrees outside. 2 major drawbacks...1. There's literally NOWHERE to park in the area for free. Th cheapest lot we found was around the corner and at the end of the street in a gravel lot and it was 12 bucks. Parking right at the venue is 40 bucks. 2. Drink and beer prices inside are way high. A shaker cup cocktail is 20 bucks and it's ALL ice. Refills are 17 bucks!!!! Another thjng I didn't like is that the box office is not attached to the venue and is up the street and they didn't take cash for tickets there. They also don't give you a paper ticket...they digitally text you a receipt and your tix too. Security has a walk through metal detector and they wand folks as well.

Honestly, one of the worst experiences I've had at a line dancing bar. We were literally told that…read morewe weren't allowed to have a dance circle on the dance floor... at a LINE DANCING BAR. We weren't bothering anyone or causing problems, but apparently having fun in a different way than the people doing the same routine over and over again was an issue. The lack of space awareness on the dance floor was ridiculous. People were literally pushing others out of the way/off the dance floor just so they could have more room to dance. People were constantly bumping into our chairs, and not once would they apologize or even acknowledge that they had hit someone. If you looked at them afterward because they had just slammed into your chair, they would actually give you an attitude and become rude toward you. The whole atmosphere felt incredibly cliquey and hostile. Instead of people being respectful and making room for each other, it felt like certain regulars believed they owned the dance floor and everyone else needed to get out of their way. And then there's the fact that they do the same line dance to practically every song. There's barely any variety, so if you aren't interested in doing the exact same routine over and over again, there really isn't much else to enjoy. For a place that is supposed to be about dancing and having a good time, there was a surprising lack of basic courtesy and respect. Between being told we couldn't have a dance circle, people pushing others off the floor, constantly bumping into chairs without apologizing, and the rude attitudes when you dared to look at them, we definitely won't be coming back.

He asked my friend to remove his chains, which was completely fine--we complied without any issue. I then tried to make friendly conversation by mentioning that I was from Long Island, New York, and instead of being welcoming, he immediately started making negative comments about where I'm from. It was incredibly rude and unnecessary. I was honestly shocked by how we were treated. I always hear about Southern hospitality, but that was not our experience at all. The bartenders weren't friendly either, and the overall atmosphere made us feel unwelcome as visitors. For context, I have over 3 million followers across my social media platforms (@juleswalcott), and my friend has over 360,000 followers. We weren't looking for special treatment--we just expected basic courtesy and respect like any other customers. Unfortunately, this was one of the least welcoming experiences I've had while traveling. I won't be coming back, and I hope management takes customer service more seriously because tourists deserve to feel welcome regardless of where they're from.
