I went here with 6 friends and this place was social distancing. We were able to sit close to the bar. Where they had a couch and two chairs for our group to sit at. This place the staff was friendly and they had nice music playing in the lounge. The food was great. The service was good as well. The only thing with the service was when we got our food the server would forget to bring forks. Once we got our food she would have to go back and get forks for us. I had a beet salad which was good, but I felt the beets could have been a little softer to the bite. I had the pickled vegetables which had radishes, cucumbers and another pickled vegetable that was flavorful. I ended the night with a piece of olive oil cake which was great. It was tasty and it was gluten free. It had a lemon sauce and blueberries on it the cake was nice and moist not dry at all. I will be coming back. read more

I'm not sure why I'm writing a review for this place but I'll try to be as unbiased as possible. Call me Switzerland. The Good: I had two drinks and I was done for the night. They were cheap and strong. The group of guys next to us were nice to chat with. The Meh: bartenders weren't exactly friendly. Just a "what do you want? Ok, here - see ya" kinda vibe when it wasn't even crowded. The ambiance is.....just a bar. Nothing really more to it. The Bad: it's just a generic bar. If you're looking for anything more unique or special, try elsewhere. Overall, it's a good nod back to the types of bars I frequented in college. Strong drinks, cheap, dude bros everywhere and....that's all. It very much still reminds me of college and it's just not my vibe anymore. 100% will not be back but I think if you're in your early to mid 20s, you'll like it. read more

I've been to a lot of indoor and outdoor venues in NYC and I was not expecting a super pleasant experience when I came. My wife and I were very surprised to be proven wrong. We came for a house music show on a Saturday night, on the earlier side to check everything out. The bouncer and security staff were super nice - they were hospitable to everyone in the line as far as I could tell. They didn't really pad us down but we weren't wearing any baggy or loose clothes or had bags with us. I assume security eyeballs guests and makes situational calls. The inside was spacious and clean. The bathrooms were always attended to. The floor was a bit sticky initially but i think that was fixed before crowds rolled in. When some people spilled beer, the staff immediately came and cleaned. We felt safe with security staff in eyeshot. The music reproduction quality is OK; I think the crowd has a tendency to talk loudly and the volume should be balanced against that, but for the headliner, everything sounded great. Could use more emphasis on higher than bass frequency, but I'll take a solid bassline anyday. I did not feel the need to wear earplugs like some NY venues, probably due to the smaller size of this one. The lights are awesome, if a bit on the intense side since they are just above the stage, aimed at the floor. I would wear sunglasses next time to give my eyes a break. The bartenders were quick and attentive. One issue: they tried to swipe my chip-cards to open tabs (we tried a couple) and those were blocked by our banks for security purposes. Those cards should be chipped for payment gateway acceptance - hopefully the point of sale can support that. Closing each tab everytime worked fine, though, and the bartender did not embarrass us with the decline card response - we noticed others at the bar had the same issues. The outdoor space is super nice. Everyone was dressed casual but clean - and no one smelled bad or was unfriendly/aggressive. We will definitely continue coming back here for performers we like - please keep bringing in great house and techno producers! read more

I had a really good experience here and I owe it all to the bartender. She was sooooo good. She was not only extremely friendly, but also very helpful. I told her what I like in a drink and how much I wanted to pay and she custom made the best spicy cocktail ever. She also gave me candied jalapeños, which were amazing. I never had a bartender actually care enough to do that, and it was awesome. The atmosphere was nice. It was decorated beautifully. I went on a Thursday and it wasn't too crowded, it had just enough people to have a good time, but not crowded so you can't even move. I liked it, and I would definitely go back again. read more

I've been waiting for this place to open for a while as I follow the mixologist and venue on IG. Once I saw the official grand opening, I immediately RSVP'd for myself and a friend. The RSVP was free and did not mention a cover of any sort. Although still new here from Brooklyn, Charlotte's nightlife scene is getting a wave of places with sharp dress codes, free seating, incredible crafted cocktail lists and beautiful social people. Not to mention uptempo music that triggers a good time and conversation with other transplants and the rare native. I dressed up and headed over at 8:15 for the launch party was ID'd and entered with my ticket pulled up in my iPhone. When entering, I noticed a long line of people appearing to be registering for something. NC state laws are weird so I figured QC Social is a private club. Come to find out there was a $10 membership fee that was not mentioned on the RSVP or follow up emails. Patrons including myself was confused as to why we had a "free" ticket but still paying for a cover. I understand covers and their purpose but a heads up would have been nice. When I mentioned it to the lady signing me up, she said "yeahhhh I'm sorry. Just try to have a good time okay?". I paid the $10 and registered but that threw me off for the fact I felt a bit swindled. I don't even know what that membership includes since you don't receive an email or card or anything. Now to the ambience, this places gets it! Warm low lighting, exposed brick, plush large leather couches, high velvet wingback chairs! The jazz band started the night off slow and everybody looked amazing. Fellas had on suits, ladies in cocktail dresses. This was the night to be seen and look your best. You planned for tonight, and it showed. The cocktail list was short with four drinks, I assume to not overwhelm the guests. I hear their is a larger cocktail list for other nights. I had the Bob Marley drink that gave you vibes of a breezy night on an island. Think Rum Chata, lime, nutmeg. It has way more ingredients than that I just can't recall the exact list. The draft list was impressive, I'm a beer buff so love seeing Omnipollo and Evil Twin as well as local stuff. I would say too many stouts and high gravity beers for the summer. I opted for a Full Steam IPA out of Durham. Perfect. Bathrooms we spacious and well lit. The patio had free seating I hope stays to promote conversation since I met some new friends out there. The DJ came on around 11 and he sealed the night. High energy, R&B classic mixes, the guy was flawless on the tables. Plus, he looked good while doing it. Well dressed, sharp bald fade and tats. I see a lot of nights here and won't allow the initial bad shuffle keep me away, but definitely want management to understand and explain what's going on. We had the privilege of attending the QC Social lounge's official Grand Opening. Social lounge really is the perfect way to describe it. It's in a league all of its own, like taking a step back into time. Classic and regal. Reminds me of a old fashioned parlor in a grand mansion. From the moment you arrive you are greeted and enter a red velvet rope. Upon entry through the big doors, you are met with a grand desk, and it's like going back in time. Although I did see men in jeans and nice button ups, wearing a sports coat is perfect. Ladies were dressed beautifully in elegant outfits as well. Everything is done with class. Inside there is several intimate seating areas arranged. The decor is impeccable, and the DJ selected the music perfectly. Outdoor seating area is perfect to take your drink and relax and chat with your friends. The absolute coolest thing I have seen in a long time was there $50 drink that is placed in a dome and filled with smoke. read more

Never going here again because they tried to SCAM ME! Honestly have been to many clubs around the world and I have NEVER been called out from a club being accused of taking shots and not paying for them. It was only until I pulled up all my bank statements outside that they calmed down and apologized. They realized I wasn't as drunk as they thought I was and told me they messed up. It's crazy enough too because this happened Halloween weekend and I had a very distinct face because I had the makeup of a clown, so I wasn't to be confused with anyone else because frankly nobody else dressed up. I was indeed targeted by one of the bartenders and they will not get my company nor my money ever again. Unless you'd like to pay $40 for two shots (which is ridiculous that they're charging Miami prices at a club that's not even recently renovated or decorated nicely) and get accused for not paying, I 0/10 do not recommend. read more

I always thought highly of this place until their disaster of a New Years event a few days ago. Truthfully, calling it an "event" would be stretching the truth. They were more focused on having people dance (or whatever you want to call what they were doing) on the stage than they were on actually delivering what they advertised. I paid extra for a bottomless champagne ticket and they seemed to have "run out of the champagne" before I even got my first glass. How convenient for them! I pay extra but they don't have to give me anything more than what a General Admission ticket included. At this point I didn't even care anymore, I just wanted a drink in my hand. Too bad they decided to only accept cash at the bars! Cherry on top? They decided to tell me that after I waited 30 minutes in line since they decided to close one of their two bars. Midnight had passed and I had enough so I went to the one place that never fails me: Roxbury. I should have just gone to Rooftop 210 for the third year in a row because clearly QC Social has no idea how to run an event. I would absolutely not recommend this social lounge whatever it is! Awful bouncers and a terrible owner. Attended this lounge yesterday night where I was escorted out because my sister sat in vip cause she was extremely hot and she felt like her heart was racing. Did they care. Nope! They sure didn't. I wasn't sure if someone slipped something in her drink but they were just so concerned about kicking us out. The owner also got in my face because he thought I was yelling at his bouncer which I was not. I was talking loudly to my sister because I couldn't hear what she was saying. I wouldn't recommend this awful place to young college kids. I can't even believe I'm writing a review on a bar but I needed to let other people know they will be disrespected. Nice little club in Charlotte, North Carolina. First off, the bathrooms are spacious, clean, and well, nice. That's a plus when you're a woman. Drink wise, they have beer and liquor, but no champagne or wine options. A bottle of water will run you $6. The space is small but perfect for the event I attended. read more

Went to this lounge for an event (founders day for the Omega Psi phi fraternity inc) and I would definitely go back. The staff were great and the drinks were mixed perfectly. This lounge also has hookah. I will add that I wasn't clear on the drink price. I had a shot of Hennessy as well as Hennessy and coke and I was charged $27. I think they may add in an auto gratuity (I didn't pay attention) but it was worth the money because that's all I needed! I would go back for another event. read more

I have only been here once on a Saturday night but I had a great time on that visit. It is more of a club atmosphere than most other nightlife spots in Uptown. The drinks were fine, up to par with what I expect at a club. I did get charged a $10 cover while my girlfriend walked in free.. pretty annoying. In my opinion cover should apply to those who are 18-20 and cannot buy alcohol or everyone if there is a band/special event that evening. Neither of those situations applied that night. read more

We went to see Nora En Pure play last month and the place really had an awesome atmosphere! Pretty cheap drinks for uptown, super cool art all over the walls, coatcheck upstairs, friendly bouncers, and a killer sound system all made the night really enjoyable. My only gripe was that there is a vip table right in front of the dj booth, so it was really hard to see if you were standing up front or even around the rest of the venue. A big group of people at the table were acting super obnoxiously walking in and out of the vip area. Otherwise, will be returning for sure to see more shows! read more

I used to party at this location a long time ago in college and it looked completely different as a club. The inside is now very beautiful with gorgeous decor and lighting. I have attended happy hour and poetry nights here recently. The drinks are quite pricey but Chef Chianti and her food is what brought me the night I visited. Being the socialite that i am i was invited to a private exclusive event here at the Qc social lounge. This place had a soft opening a week or so ago and im not sure a lot of people know about this place as of yet. From my understanding you have to have a membership to get in. We were offered a year membership for free for attending the exclusive event. Qc social is the perfect name for this venue, as you walk around and gaze at all the different art on the wall . Outside is a very cool grass wall design that i think makes for the perfect selfie. This place gives off a a jazz feel to me, the bar is very intimate and its a lot going on in different areas of the social lounge which again fits perfect with the name. Served was sushi and small bites. Everything was delicious that i tasted because i did not indulge in everything that was brought out for tastings. My friend thanked me for inviting her to be my plus one and she made me promise to bring her to all the rest this place made such an impression on her that she thinks they are all going to be this way .Qc will see my face probably this weekend i am super in love with all the vibes this place gives from artsy, complicated, and dope! read more

I live in uptown Charlotte for work, and like to show colleagues and traveling global business people a good time on the town. I showed up to this establishment in a suit, and balenciaga sneakers and was turned away with a business partner. I came with a group of people another night(by their desire) and watched people get in in with vans and tshirts(both were friday nights). The night i was turned away, there was absolutely nobody there and nobody in line. I said "if i had 10 dollar dress shoes, could i go in?". The guy at the front said, "yep, and just pop your collar". As a patron who would frequent this place often, buy bottles and table service anywhere else; Ive never been met with such loose and ignorant policies anywhere. Ok so me and my friend were super amped to come here based on the pics....1- website says they open at 5 we get there and some foreign guy who I think is the owner is like we don't open to 9-- was hardly apologetic...didn't thank us for bringing it to his attention or anything. So we went next door to imperial and had a ball!!! I recommend IMPERIAL over this place any day... after we leave imperial we stop back by which we never should have -we experienced racism and patronizing at its finest. It's only like 20 ppl tops in the place but everywhere we went we got "oh you can't sit there or stand here or be near etc etc..." my money spends like everyone else's!! Here I am ready to take pics and promote the place and y'all treat us like scum of the earth. No worries we won't be back and I'll never recommend this place. I came here on a Saturday night and it was the wait time for a drink that really did this place in for me. Which is really sad because everything else (minus the cover for men) was great. The good stuff: The atmosphere is one of the best in Charlotte. The dance floor is great, the music is good; the decor is nice. They do have VIP options, but I've never done that. The bad stuff: The wait for a drink was one of the most frustrating things I've ever experienced. I was at the bar near the dance floor and for some baffling reason there was only one bartender stationed there. Come on QC Social Lounge, put another bartender on! It's surely your busiest night of the week. They for sure missed out on opportunities to make more money by selling more drinks. It just seems like a really dumb business decision on their part to not have another bartender. The bartender who was working was also just not efficient at all. People were ordering basic drinks and he was making them in the most ostentatious way possible. That added a lot of time to waiting. And then after being posted up at the front of the bar for a solid twenty minutes, the bartender pointed to the person on my right and the person on my left (both of who had not been waiting even close to as long as I had) and took their orders before mine! I lost it! I understand it's busy and maybe hard to keep up with who has been waiting in what order, but that's also part of his job! At that point I turned to my boyfriend and told him he would have to order and walked away. Another aspect I'm not a fan of is the cover for men. As a woman I got in for free, but my boyfriend and the rest of the men in my party had to shell out $10 each just to get in. I just think it's an unfair policy. I hope that QC Social can make some adjustments because I really did have a good time other than the drink wait. But that's really enough for me to choose to go somewhere else on a Saturday night out. read more
