Let freedom ring. This bright and cheery café has decor that makes you want to start chanting "U S A!" The theme is celebrating America and honoring the military, veterans and first responders; it's patriotic, but not political. We came for breakfast and both enjoyed it thoroughly. I got the home fries with mine and they were so, so good, beautifully cooked including the skin, lightly seasoned, and not at all greasy. The menu doesn't state it but you can have home fries instead of hash browns with the specials. My husband got the hash browns which were also excellent. So many bread options come with the breakfast (including corn bread) but I splurged and got upgrade to pancakes and he splurged and got French Toast. Everything was hot and tasty and obviously fresh made. Service started out excellent, including being offered hot sauce etc., as well as being checked on. Our waitress was very sweet. She brought the check ("no rush") immediately we started eating. But then she seemed to disappear, no one came to offer a coffee refill which surprised me, and we had to flag someone else down to ask for a takeout box and to ask if we were supposed to pay server or at counter. There is one parking spot on the street right out front which we lucked into. Otherwise you might have to park around the corner or possibly in the lot attached to the drive-through store next door, but I was not clear on this. Excellent stop for breakfast/brunch and very reasonably priced.

I walked in to a great little patriotic restaurant only to be completely impressed. The atmosphere, the service, and the food were all outstanding! I ordered and sipped my coffee while I waited for my meal and it came out pretty quick. I got a half order of biscuits and gravy with a side of Goetta. Both were absolutely delicious and the Goetta was cooked the way I like it. Crispy on the outside. Way better than any chain restaurants and locally owned. Stop in!

Really enjoyed my first visit for breakfast, which is served all day. Old school bacon and cheese omelette, hashbrowns and biscuit with a side of sausage gravy, for an extra $3. They're known for their sausage gravy and it delivered great flavor and obviously a homemade biscuit. Cassandra was my friendly server. Don't freak out when you see a firearm on the busboy or perhaps he's the owner? They keep everything nice and clean. Reasonably priced and home cooking will bring you back. Saw a sponsored facebook ad while dining here, they serve up lots of desserts and today's meatloaf is on special. Apparently they typically sell out.

Sloppy Joes with Mac and cheese with crispy onion rings. Special of the day. Very tasty.

We…read morevisited on an early evening as the sun was coming into the old house just perfectly and the leaves were falling outside. There is ample parking and a sweet park right outside (and the homes in the surrounding blocks are just beautiful, would be a great spot for a walk after getting coffee!) The inside is artsy which I loved. There are banding lanterns and stars and little painted details everywhere. Some m if it find it cluttered but it was perfect to me- reminded me of a college town hangout! It would be the perfect backdrop to a coffee date or heart to heart- cozy, refreshing, and peaceful. My husband ordered a strawberry smoothie and I ordered a London fog- both were quite sweet but enjoyable. One thing that piqued my interest was the flavor combos you could add to a latte- the True West, for example had fig and vanilla which sounded interesting! It was too late in the day for a latte for me but I would try that next time. The prices were also great- both of our drinks totaled around $7! The price of one drink at another shop. We sat upstairs- beautiful art on the walls, good views, and plenty of seating. There are 2 easily accessible and clean private bathrooms and a meeting room that it looks like you can reserve. The stairs are a little winding but plenty of more accessible seating on the first level, and they brought us up our drinks! Such a sweet spot! We'll be back!

They're a bit smaller than they were when I came before. Get the white chocolate and raspberry latte!
