What a special place... the ambiance is so wonderful here, I want to come back again and again! We visited on an early evening as the sun was coming into the old house just perfectly and the leaves were falling outside. There is ample parking and a sweet park right outside (and the homes in the surrounding blocks are just beautiful, would be a great spot for a walk after getting coffee!) The inside is artsy which I loved. There are banding lanterns and stars and little painted details everywhere. Some m if it find it cluttered but it was perfect to me- reminded me of a college town hangout! It would be the perfect backdrop to a coffee date or heart to heart- cozy, refreshing, and peaceful. My husband ordered a strawberry smoothie and I ordered a London fog- both were quite sweet but enjoyable. One thing that piqued my interest was the flavor combos you could add to a latte- the True West, for example had fig and vanilla which sounded interesting! It was too late in the day for a latte for me but I would try that next time. The prices were also great- both of our drinks totaled around $7! The price of one drink at another shop. We sat upstairs- beautiful art on the walls, good views, and plenty of seating. There are 2 easily accessible and clean private bathrooms and a meeting room that it looks like you can reserve. The stairs are a little winding but plenty of more accessible seating on the first level, and they brought us up our drinks! Such a sweet spot! We'll be back!
We recently had a wonderful breakfast with lattes and bagels at True West Coffee in Hamilton, Ohio! Coffee shop vibes are always some of the homiest, creative, and inviting when the personal flair is there. And True West truly encapsulates that laid back, inviting, and relaxing atmosphere, and we'll definitely be going back again when we were in Ohio! We really liked the two floors of seating which was available, in addition to the creative abundance of coffees and food items on the menu. Certainly recommend!
It's ok. The cottage is cute, but it is too busy and too small to sit and enjoy yourself. They serve Deeper Roots coffee (amazing), but they manage to make the mixed drinks taste terrible (sure, let's pour stevia into 1 shot of espresso ig?). I only trust that the black coffee will taste ok. The food is ok, which means it is overpriced. I'm also surprised that they don't open until 8 am on the weekend, so there is usually 10-15 people already lined up outside. The only reason I'm not rating this place lower is because there are limited locations in the area that can serve a decent cup of coffee. It is just disappointing that the bar is so low.
I have came here several times over the years and got coffees and wraps, sandwiches, and burritos. This is a unique little coffee shop that serves yummy food and is located in an old house in Hamilton. The service is always very good. It has a drive thru as well as street parking and of course a small parking lot next door. Excellent place to relax and get some yummy options.

They had a steady flow and seems to be a neighborhood gem. As far as the ambiance it's nostalgic , a old house turned coffee shop which is what made me stop. I'll be back for more when I'm in the neighborhood .
Cute little shop interesting layout.we set outside which was nicely decorated.staff was friendly didn't rush us which was nice. because they have a pretty decent menu between coffee and food.i got the frappe with white chocolate and dark chocolate or wasn't as sweet as I thought it would be I also got the parfait I asked what was in it. It was kind of hard to here but I thought she said strawberry yogurt with granola turned out there were also a type of chopped but with the granola which I can't eat but that was okay I took a couple bites of my boyfriend's sandwich which that was good it was like a egg bacon avocado wrap I think. Overall it's your in the area worth checking out just for the atmosphere.
I can only give 4 stars because I didn't actually try any drinks or foods but everything smelled wonderful! Met my son here and fell in love with the vibe and interior decor. We weren't greeted by any of the staff as we sat there for about 15-20 minutes deciding on where we were going to go eat ... but I'll chalk that up to the fact that we weren't there 30-45 minutes before close. I'd like to come back and see if it tastes as good as it smells

It's giving home vibesss. Everyone is super nice and helpful. There is plenty of seating with areas upstairs and downstairs. There is also a room that can be reserved for any meetings or study sessions. The coffee was good! I ordered a iced coffee with an esspresso shot! Service was very fast!

The coffee is really good especially their hot lattes with many flavors to pick from, my husband simples loves the drip coffee. Food is a okay, I've only had breakfast sandwiches and muffins and like I said just a okay. I have been wanting to try their lunch sandwiches as they sound good on the menu. Perfect place to come and catch up with a friend, study, read, sketch, (family gossip with your mom, okay maybe that was just me!) There's seating on the main floor and on the second floor, along with one large room that looks like it's meant for a large group or meeting. They have a drive through but you can't order food only drinks, as my understanding is because they make all their sandwiches and such in house and can take to much time in a drive through which is understandable. Great location with parking. Also you can grab your favorite coffee and walk down main street and explore all the cute shops! Don't forget a to ask for punch card!
grilled cheese was disgusting and horrible. it had no flavor and they didn't bother to ask me what bread i wanted they just made it. the chips had absolutely no flavoring as if they had them sitting for months on end, the soup was very thick and chunky while it didn't really taste like tomato soup. I'm not sure what they did wrong but it was all the way just bad

They haven't changed much in the past 10 years but I still like the inside of the place. Service is great and so are the drinks. The only thing I'd like them to change is the sandwiches. They're a bit smaller than they were when I came before. Get the white chocolate and raspberry latte! read more

Kitschy little coffeehouse in downtown Hamilton. Meets all the expectations of a quintessential coffeehouse. Located in a lovely older house, has funky decor and great coffee options. Our coffee- brew of the day and a cappuccino were both very good. The pricing is very moderate. Offers a drive through too. read more

Lots of latte options, and great names for them, to choose from at True West! I enjoyed the Big Papi with brown sugar, molasses & cinnamon. In my opinion, a latte that is good all year. My husband had the Nutty Irishman and it was one of the best Irish lattes we've had, it had a creamy/nutty/stout taste to it. Yum! It's a bit crowded near the counter/order area (the cafe is in an older home converted to cafe). The Breakfast Burrito just sounded good, so I ordered one for a little brunch snack. This was a good sized burrito, more of a meal than a snack. It was grilled and filled with egg, avocado and tomato. The atmosphere is charming and set in a historic house in downtown Hamilton. Alexander Hamilton sets the theme, he's on the logo and you can even find a huge mural of him on a building neighboring the cafe. A nice patio in the back has seating and another mural. And they have a drive through! Check out the paintings throughout the cafe, they reminded me of my childhood. The upstairs seating and views of downtown was my favorite. read more

I loved this place. It's super cute. The staff are sweet, friendly, prompt and accurate. Is nice and easy to order. It's warm and cozy with beautiful hip decor. I loved the bars in front of the windows. They're made of doors. The stools are comfy, unlike those awkward stools everyone is getting these days. These are the perfect people watching seats. The ceilings are huge, probably due to the fact that this is an older building. There are food options although, we went just for the coffee. Desserts looked pretty good though. There are many options for coffees and teas. There's smoothies for the kids. I liked being able to choose a 12 or 16 oz. Drink. Not some awkward translation like other coffee shops. I really enjoyed my visit and I'd like to visit again next time I pass through. read more

If there was an award for "Least Amount of Effort Serving A Meal" this place would be a nominee. To be fair, the coffee drinks were fine but the food and the service was pathetic. My daughter ordered a parfait and a side of bacon. Apparently a "side " is a new concept for them. My breakfast sandwich was barely cooked and the cheese wasn't even melted. read more
Cool rustic artsy farmhouse environment. Overpriced for sloooooow service, albeit the kids are always nice and smiling, it's just that there are no systems in place. Service and turnaround ARE part of the product folks. A 30 minute wait for eating in with soup, salad and latte is not a good product when there is no water or snack holding you over. This was some of the best service ive received at a coffee shop! We came in as a group of 7 and we're worried we'd be too overwhelming, but we're pleasantly surprised that they genuinely acted like they were glad we were there and wanted to give us a good experience! I got the True West latte and it was SO good! Definitely will stop by again if we're in the area! read more

This is the downtown location. It has s great view of the area. The menu is full of healthy choices. It's pretty good for breakfast. They also have good sandwiches. It became popular enough that they opened a new location. It's almost right in front of the Alexander Hamilton statue. This makes it pretty easy to find. It has more of a hipster atmosphere. They play lots of hipster alternative and no bro country shit. I had a True West Latte and the Hippie sandwich. The latte is about $3.50 for a medium. It's made with figs. This gives it a sweetness. Be sure to get something to eat. The sandwich is made with avocado and hummus. It only sucks because of the parking. It has a few tables inside. There's several more seats along the windows. read more

Latte had a burnt slightly cardboard taste and was too hot. Need to get their protocols down for consistency. All stars are for the excellent atmosphere in a charming old house. Food is reportedly good. read more

Love this little space. Cool place to sit and work for hours. Great coffee/ drink and food options. They still had Hot Cider when I visited, which I had a hard time finding at other cafés this far into the winter. Chocolate chip cookies were also delicious! Plenty of outlets and seats , free wifi, cool decor- great place! read more

This is an addorable coffee shop located across the river in Hamilton. It's located in a two story house, repurposed into this lovely coffee shop. The check out counter is on the first floor as well as an ample seating area. Upstairs, there is a private room as well as a large seating area full of booths and windows. The coffee was wonderful and this shop had inventive flavor combinations. I decided on the Big Papi latte (cinnamon, brown sugar, and molasses). It was subtle and not sugary sweet, which was a wonderful combination. But I was torn between the Big Papi Latte and the True West Latte (fig, vanilla, and black pepper). I will for sure try that one next time. We also ordered a cranberry, orange scone and a coffee cake muffin that were sinfully sweet. This is a fantastic gem of a coffee shop! I can't wait to return. read more
