I sent a message to get a quote for an oil change on my husband's F-350 Super Duty so I could surprise him by taking a few things off his plate. Paul's wife responded quickly with the quote, gave me their hours, and said Paul would answer any questions I have (if I have any) when I arrive. The location was easy to find (I'm pretty new to the area) and the service was so quick I would have headed back home to grab my sedan to have the oil changed as well if I'd have been able to manage it. Took my truck to Lyons and had an oil change today for the 1st time at this shop. I'm use to the shops in the Bay Area, where you have to make an appointment and still have to wait 2 hours before they are done. I pulled into Lyons and in less than 20 minutes they were done. This is a good hometown business with an old time service station atmosphere. This is a nice change from the big chain service stations that just turn and burn and could care less who you are. This is my favorite place to get my oil changed. Everyone who works here is always so kind, I'm always immediately greeted with a smile and a conversation. As I'm waiting for my oil change they always make an effort to be sure I'm comfortable in the waiting room. The prices are reasonable and service is efficient. With all the construction happening around them it's difficult to find which road will lead to the shop, but there's always a way there and I suggest you find it! I asked for recommendations on Paradise Rants and Raves...and so many people recommended this place. I was in the area today and figured I would do a drive by to see where it was and pulled into the driveway. They motioned for me to drive forward and I leaned out of the window and asked if they could do an oil change right then....sure can, come on in...I was in and out in about 20 min and I couldn't be happier! They also found the cabin filter had never been changed and was full of birdseed and down feathers...what? I'm so glad they caught that and I have no idea how that happened! What a gem this place is! Came here on my lunch to get my oil changed and what can I say besides perfect? I have a truck that takes around 8 quarts and these guys were priced better than anyone else I have ever been to, and they use top quality products as well. Not to mention I was in and out of there in 10-15 minutes. And they didn't do the job to quick either, everything was done right and I would most definitely go there again! I wish they did more stuff like tire services or whatever so I could get more stuff done at one time but for a quick change oil stop, this place was great! Better than Jiffy Lube or any others I've been to. read more

These guys are good, fast, and personable. Two problems, both not 100% their fault. First, my '74 K5 takes engine oil in the transfer case, not gear oil. Nobody knows this including me - I put gear oil in it for 20 years and never noticed. With the internet, I looked up some things and saw that it takes a light oil or the chain drive will not be lubed. I drove offroad a lot so I guess it got lubed that way despite the heavy oil. I had to drain it and replace the oil. This i what they do all daylong. They shold know what a chevy t-case takes, even if it is40 years old Second, I asked them to change the front axle oil. They said they checked it and it was OK. I'd already checked at home before I went for the oil change, so I knew it was not OK. I pushed a bit. They checked, it needed changing, they apologized, no hard feelings there. read more

Returned to my job in Paradise towards the end of April and since my prior oil/mechanic went out of business I wanted to support someone local. Drove in greeted by I'm assuming the owner. In and out in less than 30 minutes. Will definitely be able to fit them in within my work hours going forth. I live in Chico but the chain oil/lube stores in Chico are not my thing. Fast and efficient. The waiting room is a hoot. It's a tiny little museum with a collection of old timey toy trailers and cars. Oil and fun.

Have taken our vehicles in for full service here for a couple years. Last time they put the wrong fluid into the brake system of one of our vehicles. Ruined the whole system and when talked to, said "We don't know if we even checked it or put anything into it." Then it was, "Well, we could have done it, but you'll have to sue us." Hmm.. full service? I think not! Your business was the only place we took our vehicles to. Be wary of this business. They do not take responsibility for damaging your vehicles.
