This was my first time to Superior Auto Clinic after making an appointment just over a week ago. It's always a good sign, to me, when a place is booked up. It means there are return customers and full schedules of happy clients. The ratings really speak for themselves, too. I shopped around a LOT before making an appointment, reading and rereading reviews of places hoping to not be swindled. And I have to say: I'm an unpaid, unaffiliated, VERY opinionated human and all I could think was how much I look forward to writing a review of Superior Auto. What an incredibly thoughtful, thorough crew this place has! I was blown away by how kind and courteous the gentlemen at the front were to all who entered the (very busy) place. They got me an ride to my house and from it to pick up my car without any wait time at all. It was a great experience from building entry to final exit! While performing my usual maintenance, they came across things (desperately) needing fixing/updates. They offered me fixes at very modest, honest rates for parts and hardly anything for labor. I didn't feel cheated. I didn't feel like I had no clue what was happening. They priced it all out and sent it to me electronically so I could think through it with no pressure. I was happy to have everything fixed that needed fixing and they got to work on it as soon as I electronically signed. I spent my day with my family doing what I wanted and didn't feel like this appointment, or the communication to the shop, made even the slightest dent in my day. I am so impressed. They worked quickly and got my car done long before I picked it up and they literally smiled during each interaction. One thing I look for in businesses is how people talk once a customer leaves the building. Every time a patron exited the building, the fellas at the counter had something kind to say about the customers, as if they were all family. They greeted every person who entered the shop by name. Literally EVERY person. The Uber driver, their return clients, even me! They laughed at work-appropriate jokes (read: kids and women won't feel weird here) and had a warm atmosphere where I wouldn't have minded waiting, if I hadn't plans with my family. They host a coffee and tea bar for those waiting and it just felt...nice. When I went to check-out, they had tap to pay for iPhones and credit cards. None of the old school paper slide machines and grungy shop insides. It was all modern, updated, and clean. This might be the first time I've ever felt comfortable at any kind of auto center in my life, as a 35-year-old, tired mom. The best part: when they asked if I had any other concerns prior to fixing my car up, I mentioned an odd stuttering my brakes do when I brake hard. They knew exactly what it was AND explained it to me. I asked if they could fix it, no mention of cost, just "take my money, I want it fixed" and they actually suggested I wait to fix it to save money. They explained it would be safe to do so and what signs to look for when/if it's time to take it back to the shop. They also reassured me it would likely be fine until the next oil change. They SAVED me money. I was prepared to drop hundreds of dollars for auto fixes (I run my cars terribly, so I'm used to big price tags) but this shop actually stopped me from overspending. Never. In. My. LIFE! Have I ever had that experience. I will trust these humans for the rest of my time as an automobile owner. Big, strong, HUGE recommendation from a totally random stranger for Superior Auto Clinic. I'd have my kids take their cars there. THAT'S how trustworthy I feel they are. Well done, guys. I would not go anywhere else. This company has a great staff of friendly, professional and skilled mechanics. We recently took our car in because we thought we damaged the undercarriage of our vehicle. They did a thorough inspection and could jot find anything. They did find a nail in one of our tires which we need to have repaired. They did not charge us for their time of inspecting our vehicle. This was unexpected as it did take time for them to inspect the undercarriage of our car. Much appreciated. I highly recommend them! read more

Went in because my window was not going up or down. Was charged $75 to diagnose the problem and given a quote of over $700. I had been quoted twice in Seattle $250 -parts and labor. I went to an auto parts store and the part was apx $172. Got the job done else where for a total of $247. read more

it's a great shop!... if you wanna pay 3x the price for a service. went in for brake and rotor repair/replacement and they quoted me $1500 for what should be under $500. Once telling the associate that i could not afford this kind of cost they scoffed at me and were super condescending. Felt like i was being taken advantage of and was being ripped off as a young female entering the shop alone. no matter how quality their parts are there is no excuse to charge exploitive prices like these. superior auto has a superiority complex. read more

I had to take my camper van on a couple road trips before writing a review for the almost $5k in repairs I had done here in April! Just got back from a 3700 mile one and it's still going strong. Bill was a real pleasure, totally up front and communicative about what work was needed, and super personable and professional. I had a little woo-woo request on the day they were supposed to start, it needed to be after a certain time and before another. He told me he called a little meeting with his crew to make sure it all went as I requested. That's when you know you're dealing with a good business! I took my 2002 Dodge 2500 4x4 with the diesel to Superior Auto Clinic. Bill the owner told me I needed a needed a lift pump and an injector pump. Bill told me it would be $8,700 to repair it. $4,500 of it was for an injector pump. I already knew what the parts costs, so I went to a different shop. The injector pump was $1,850 and it DID NOT need the lift pump. I had it repaired for $2,400 parts and labor. Bill is a straight up scammer! Do Not go to Superior Auto Clinic. I was referred by a friend to have my brakes done here. From the first moment I walked in the door the guy behind the counter, that later found out was the owner was super friendly and helpful. The car wasn't in the shop very long before they have me an estimate I felt was more than fair. I had them do the work. Larry the mechanic did a great job too. Nothing was dirty and he left my car just like I brought it in.. except for the brakes worked a lot better. What can I say, there's guys made me feel welcome and even got my car back the same day. Wow! Needed my car smogged, and with everything going on, their website said pickup, and drop-off service. Set and appt. and Gilbert called and was right on time. He said it should just be a little while. My sensors on my car hadn't reset after some recent work. So my car couldn't be smogged. He went ABOVE and BEYOND! Had my car back by the next morning! I was able to save some money, received excellent service, a free Uber ride and no upsell's just suggestions on what should be done moving forward. I needed to get my car smog certified, but had a check engine light on and needed to get it resolved. I brought my car in to Superior Auto Clinic to see I I could get a diagnosis and a cheap fix. I'm not one to trust auto shops and their diagnoses, and prefer to get secondary opinions and alternate fixes recommendations. After paying the hourly diagnostic fee of $90/hour, the diagnosis they gave me was the same as the conclusion I had already come to; a dirty catalytic converter. This was unfortunate, but promising, news as it confirmed my suspicion. However, they were adamant on the "shotgun" approach and demanded that in order to resolve the problem and get the car to pass smog I'd have to replace the cat, as well as both sensors, and the price with labor would be at least $1700. That's not a cheap fix, and, as it turns out, an unnecessary cost. I promptly (grudgingly) paid the diagnosis cost and retrieved my car. I had a friend look at it later, with less high-tech equipment than the shop, and had the issue legally resolved and smog-worthy for under $100. I understand wanting to be thorough and complete in your work and repairs, but try to read your customers a little better; that's the essence of customer service. It's better to make a little bit of money than scare away potential customers. At least the service was fast. Needless to say, I won't be going back. read more

I was standing in line waiting to sign and pay the bill for my car being repaired. I witnessed the owner verbally abuse an older guy who wanted the suspension of his auto repaired. The owner failed to make his abuse of this older gentleman private but rather berated in the most awful of terms this poor guy in front of everyone. The old guy looked stunned. He quietly replied that all he wanted was his car repaired. He walked out. The owner preened in front of his employees who looked down shame-faced by what they had witnessed. I was in a tight spot when my 02' Pathfinder died one day and Superior stepped up to help. They not only diagnosed my car within a couple hours but were courteous in all their communication (even when we called in several times with questions). They ended up charging us very fairly for our diagnostic which I am sure they spent more time on (given the random updates throughout the day) then they billed us for. My son had taken his car into Superior for front end service. We the parents live 5 hours away, and when my son returned from school soon after the service, there were still some issues. Very disappointed! I took my car in because it was running rough, paid them $100 to run an analysis. They called and said a part needed replacement and would cost an additional $340. Naturally, I went online to see what the usual cost for that would be. -Repair pal- gave an estimate at between $160 and $220 for my area NOT $440. I told them no thanks and on my way home from Superior Automotive Clinic I stopped at the auto parts store, bought the part for $80 and had it switched out within the hour. The car runs great. These people are a total rip-off. How often do they pad the bill? I will never go there again and will steer as many people clear of that place as I can! read more
