Great company I didn't have a chance to work with them, but their prices were fair. I will definitely recommend them.

I bought a quartz countertop and 2 undermount sinks from a friend. I need to have the 2 rectangular, radiused cutouts done for the sinks. Do you do that kind of work?

Dave, We don't do this kind of work. Here is a number for a good stone guy who can help. Justin…

If you replace bathroom countertops with a new sink, do you do the under sink plumbing yourself?

Hi Sir, We can do plumbing as well.…

FINAL UPDATE: We're happy to report that the company…read morereturned and corrected the seam -- and it now looks great and matches the quality of the others. We truly appreciate the follow-through and the effort to make it right. While the process to get here was frustrating at times, the end result is what we had hoped for from the start. Thank you to the team for addressing our concerns. UPDATE/REPLY TO OWNER: After I posted this review, the owner replied and said that seam variation is normal and that they always try to make seams as minimal and consistent as possible. That all sounds reasonable -- but here's what the reply leaves out. The seam we're concerned about has visible glue residue and looks just like the others did, which they had already cleaned up successfully during the same install. The only difference? By the time we brought this one up, we'd already paid in full. We weren't asking for perfection -- just for this last seam to be finished to the same standard. Instead, we were told "nothing can be done," and no one even offered to come take a look. Honestly, it turned what had been a great experience into a really frustrating one. Most of the work looks good, but the way things were handled after the fact left us feeling like we weren't valued once the payment cleared. ORIGINAL REVIEW: We hired this company because of their excellent reviews, competitive pricing, and ability to work within our timeline -- and overall, we're somewhat happy with how the countertops turned out. When we met Steven, we emphasized how important it was to us that the seams be as minimal as possible. When we reviewed the templates, we raised concerns about one seam being placed in a very prominent location. We were told it had to go there, but that every effort would be made to minimize its appearance. During installation, the team was friendly and professional. On the first day, they noticed that the quartz pieces had some bowing issues (apparently, this can happen if the slabs are stored outside, which these were). The owner called to explain that they needed to correct the bowing to ensure the seams would be less noticeable. This adjustment delayed their initial timeline of 7 days after templating. The team added braces to the countertops and returned a few days later. There were additional delays getting the waterfall edges and windowsill installed, but once everything was in place, we were generally satisfied with the overall look. However, about a week later, we noticed one seam that stood out from the others -- visibly rougher and less refined. We contacted the owner and were told this kind of thing happens, that nothing could be done, and that even worse seams are displayed in their showroom. That response left us disappointed. Given how good the other seams looked, we were surprised at the lack of effort or interest in finding a resolution. If you hire Rock-It, we recommend staying engaged through the final details of the install. Be sure you're 100% satisfied before signing off and paying in full. We hope the company will take this kind of feedback to heart and continue to prioritize finish quality and post-install support.

We…read moreended up having them do our backsplash in quartzite because we loved our counters so much and we trusted them. Here are a few things that set them apart from other contractors I interviewed: 1) responsive but not pushy. Some stone fabricators in San diego are incredibly pushy. 2) professional- in communication and in the way they do their operations. 3) high tech machinery and a clean cutting room. They let me see the cut template before cutting. 4) high attention to detail. 5) a proper itemized contract. Some contractors would just send me a text message with rates. That's not the way I want to do business, especially when thousands of dollars are being exchanged. The way they did quotes and contracts is what made me pull the trigger. They were mid point on price but for the service and quality you got, i felt it was a great value. I also love giving my money to a nice, hard working family. Thanks Sam, we will definitely use you again and recommend all our friends and family! You will not be disappointed. - sincerely, a high maintenance, overthinking customer :) hi Also, for those curious, the slab name in picture is a quartzite called Levezzi Classic. I purchased it at arizona tile (who is also fantastic). Blackstone had some similar quartzite but i had already put a hold on the stone before i found blackstone.

After talking to several fabricators, we decided to work with San Marcos Marble & Tile because they were professional, communicative, and offered great value for their services. Starting from the first visit and throughout the entire process, Elisa was available each step of the way to answer questions and provide updates. She explained the various options we had in terms of material, layout, and process. Dasia then came out to measure the counter area and give some helpful suggestions on things we should consider when looking for countertop material. Once we had decided on a quartz material, Elisa coordinated the details for demo, templating, installation, and backsplash tiling. We had some leftover material from the quartz slab and decided to replace a bathroom vanity countertop as well, which they were able to accommodate no problem. Once everything was scheduled, their crews came out and took care of everything. Their guys for each stage of the project were great. Friendly, professional, and efficient. Once all was said and done, we were extremely happy with the results. I would not hesitate to work with San Marcos Marble & Tile again in the future.
