Blackstone customer service is good. We purchased Cambria quartz and installation from them. We had Cambria in our previous house and never had a chip or crack. . The Cambria has a hair line crack where the radius is. Cambria came out and filled it and both said that happens sometimes. We have also had a few other Cambria chips. Not sure who is responsible has Cambria quality changed or things happen.... We treat our counter with all the care Cambria says to do . Cambria does fix the chips etc so that is good but not expected IMO for such a recent install. read more

We had a great experience with Blackstone. It is a family run business and they are all great to work with. We installed soapstone in our outdoor kitchen and it is beautiful. The product they carry at their facility is carefully curated and they cut it on site. You can see their equipment and the measurement and cutting process when you visit the showroom. I love these guys, they gave me a renewed faith and trust in what a good contractor looks like. We ended up having them do our backsplash in quartzite because we loved our counters so much and we trusted them. Here are a few things that set them apart from other contractors I interviewed: 1) responsive but not pushy. Some stone fabricators in San diego are incredibly pushy. 2) professional- in communication and in the way they do their operations. 3) high tech machinery and a clean cutting room. They let me see the cut template before cutting. 4) high attention to detail. 5) a proper itemized contract. Some contractors would just send me a text message with rates. That's not the way I want to do business, especially when thousands of dollars are being exchanged. The way they did quotes and contracts is what made me pull the trigger. They were mid point on price but for the service and quality you got, i felt it was a great value. I also love giving my money to a nice, hard working family. Great selection and value! I searched several stone places and found my dream quartz UNDER budget here. I was also able to score an awesome stone composite sink at a great deal. Amadeusz was awesome at letting us explore the options in both warehouses. he also didn't try and pressure or upsell me, which happened at a few other stores. He let me check out alllll the stones and let me pick the one I liked not the most expensive one! We just had installation measurements taken yesterday by the patient and meticulous Kevin. He helped finalize little details on the install and was gracious with a few snafus with our homemade installed cabinets. I love my counters! They made the whole process easy from measuring to ordering (when I had a tight budget and I couldn't even make it into the store to look at samples!) to installing and paying online. It was all a breeze. I wanted concrete counters, but my contractor wouldn't do it, so I found the next best thing. I'm very happy with the quartz in Fossil Grey matte finish, which will require less maintenance and probably last longer, too. Sorry I can't add pictures! I'm still waiting for my backsplash to be installed, so the rest of my kitchen is a cluttered mess. But everyone who has seen it loves the look. read more

We LOVE our kitchen countertops and backsplash that we did with Blackstone! We scheduled an appointment in the showroom during the midst of Coronavirus quarantine, and Ana was very gracious and communicated well to confirm our appointment. We knew that we wanted quartz countertops, and Ana made helpful suggestions along the way. We felt no pressure or that she was pushy with her suggestions, but appreciated all of her expertise about what might make our kitchen look best. Communication with the company is top notch as we were a nightmare client (so sorry again!) due to our closing date which kept getting pushed back. Ana and Sam were very gracious and made a few schedule changes with no issue. The day before install, our mold remediation team wanted to install cabinets. I spoke with Sam, and he said that he and his team would make it work as we had an island that needed the countertop as well as an area with cabinets that needed to be installed. The day-of, the demo and install team worked efficiently and very cooperatively with the cabinet team. The work was completed in a few hours, and the team even made me cutting boards out of the hole from the gas range cutout. The backsplash was done soon after. Ordering was a breeze as we went to Bedrosians in Vista to see what we liked, and then we let Sam know. Sam and Ana coordinated with the backsplash install which came out very nicely. The backsplash crew even came back out to re-tile and re-grout a small area where we changed the lighting, which we really appreciated. We're very happy with the projects we did on our house, and our countertops and backsplash are gems. We've had Blackstone do two projects for us and their granite/quartz work looks amazing. We've seen obvious seams in other kitchens and bathrooms, but ours look amazing. They were prompt with the time between measurement and install. Our only real negative was the actual install team. We had different installers for all three bathrooms and they each used different methods and materials. The caulking one of the teams used looks horrible against my paint in one bathroom, and we couldn't install the faucet on another without breaking out the dremmel because they didn't cut the holes in the wood below large enough. read more

Blackstone has a nice, clean indoor shop that you can browse through and look at stone slabs. You don't actually have to buy from them to have them cut your stone. They contacted the place I bought my granite and made all the arrangements to have it delivered from San Marcos to them. It was so nice not having to help coordinate any of that. From start to finish, working with them was a pleasure. The office/salespeople were very patient with me and helped me to find the perfect sink for my kitchen. My waterfall edge countertop and backsplash are beautifully cut so the grain of the stone just flows seamlessly. I love it! The install crew did an amazing job with my countertop, backsplash & under mount sink install. The seams where they had to join pieces of stone are so small, I can only tell because they pointed them out to me. It's not very noticeable at all which makes me very happy. The crew arrived on time, were very professional and everything was cleaned up and nice when they left. I'd definitely use them again.
