We had a complete kitchen remodel from TCC. Everything was fine except the flooring that has failed twice! It's a hazard and several people have tripped on it! Its separating, buckles, and completely lifts up in spots. We have made several attempts to talk to someone but no one returns our calls! This has been such a frustrating situation! I am incredibly disappointed with this bathroom remodel. For the premium price charged, the lack of transparency and poor quality fell completely short of professional standards. The Issues: Hidden Fees: I expected a complete quote, but was constantly "nickeled-and-dimed." I was charged an extra $450 for dual vanity plumbing when it should have been included in a quote. Why would I want a dual vanity with one sink not working? I was told basic mirror reinstallation wasn't included and done put of courtesy. Substandard Painting & Texturing: I paid $575 for a paint job that didn't cover the previous layer, claiming a "full" paint job wasn't covered. The new wall texturing was only done in patches and does not match the original walls. Poor Attention to Detail: The new shower insert was left covered in sticky glue that won't come off. The crew also reattached an old, mismatched rail to my mirror without asking, creating an eyesore and mirroris glued to the wall that cannotbe taken off withoutdamagingthe wall now. Reliability & Incomplete Work: On two days, only one worker showed up instead of the full crew. To top it off, they left without even putting the bathroom door back on-I had to hang it myself. Verdict: The final product looks like amateur work. I paid a licensed price but got an unlicensed result. I will never hire them again and strongly advise looking elsewhere. read more

Cracks in my Master bathroom countertop occurred 6 years after installing at a cost of $2,000. Manufacturer said it should last over 20 years and was caused by poor installation. Slab was glued to the back wall and the weight of the countertop was not supporting nor did they take into account some minor house settling that every House experiences. The Countertop Company refused to fix this and kept ignoring me. I don't recommend them. I had thousands of dollars of work done by them and they made huge profits from me. read more

I wanted to thank Randy and his team for a job well done. I contacted Randy for an outdoor project and he had some suggestions including a back waterfall edge which worked out great. His installers were excellent and his staff was very friendly. I contacted Randy at least a handful of times with questions and he always provided a prompt and honest answer every time. He also caught that our sub-top was short by a couple inches and helped coordinate a fix with my cabinetry sub-contractor. Dekton in case anyone is considering it seems like a great product for an outdoor top. There were a few small chips which is expected in an outdoor tight assembly like the one I had (see photos) but they were repaired and sealed nicely and overall we are very satisfied with their work. read more

We used TCC to do our master bath remodel in 2022. We did a kitchen remodel with them 2023-2024. Our project was simple. We kept the same floor plan and mainly updated what we had. Demolition was done 11/11/23 and the project was completed 2/19/24. I would not have believed this was the same company that did our master bath. There were consistent problems with scheduling and no shows. I heard so many promises and apologies that it was sickening. We were left with a half done project for 2 months. Sometimes we would have only 3 hours of work done in a week. I had to constantly update them on what still needed to be done. The quality and price are good. The workers are skilled and pleasant. Somehow this project was so mismanaged. Even when it was completed no one checked in to see if we were pleased. I would not be inclined to use them again. read more

After contacting numerous companies we selected The Countertop Company. We are SO happy we did. Their excellent work far exceeded our expectations. They removed our existing backsplash and countertops and installed our new quartzite countertops (3 slabs) and marble tile backsplash. Their state of the art equipment cut our countertops perfectly. The seams are nearly invisible and bookmarked beautifully. The slabs were cut so the most beautiful parts of the slabs are in prominent locations. Our tile installation is equally impressive. Their tile worker is an "artist" and a pleasure to work with. They showed up when they said they would and their employees were pleasant, hardworking and respectful of our home. Do not use this company! We have had nothing but problems ever since we ordered. Once the salesman had our order it took us forever to get calls back as to when our new counter would be installed. Once it was installed we noticed the seam was horrible. We took many many more calls to have someone come and look at it. They told us that was how it should look. We asked for a manager. Our contractor noticed they had installed the countertop on top of the board instead of it hanging over and that was why the seam did not match up. They finally came out cut part of our counter off and took hours sanding the top. We then noticed with all the sanding the polish was sanded off. They came back and took another day to sand and polish. A year later the seam started lifting. We called and was asked to send a picture. Once we sent the picture we got no call back. My husband continued calling for a week. He finally went to there office and was rudely told that it didn't look bad enough from the picture and that the would get to it in two weeks. We waited two weeks and then called and got the same rude person who then told my husband they did not do repairs (even tithe originally said they did and so does there web site). He gave my husband a number for a repair person. It took two weeks to get ahold of the repair company but they came out and said that the counter was totally installed wrong. He even got on the phone himself because he new the owners. The owner was in Europe so not available. So he called the owners brother who used to work for the company but was now gone. He told the repair man the company would never pay for the repairs. However the next day tgey texted my husband and the countertop company finally said they would come out the next week. They came out this week and denied they had any responsibility. They first said the cabinets were installed wrong and pointed to where they had cut the countertop. My husband said that was where they had cut it. So then they said it was probably from the earthquake!!!!! Really I don't remember a big earthquake here in Escondido. As my husband went to the garage to get a level my daughter in the next room heard them say they hand never seen anything like this". My husband finally kicked them out of our home for there denial and rudeness. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They are rude, don't stand by there work, and could care less about you as a customer. read more

Since the beginning of our process, all of our questions were answered in a timely manner. Price was very competitive, and the quality of work outstanding. One thing to note is that there may be some rescheduling done. It is NOT a big company and it helps to be flexible, considering the price and quality of work. We all have to wait sometimes (so I did!). But it was very well with it. When there was an issue, they quickly resolved it. If Lowes assigns this guy to do your countertops, do yourself a favor and quit before you get started. Worst Experience ever. Installer had covid last week. Was mask less 90% of the time. If I did not tell him to please mask up at least when we came in, he would have not. Butchered our cabinets and trashed his own counter tops. After 6 hours goofing off for a 90 inch countertop. The moron set up his stand inside my home, not putting down a tarp to protect my brand new floors, and started trimming the countertops, which he then trimmed wrong. He left with our sink and no return date. All this after waiting 8 weeks. POS company. The amount of F Ups this guy performed was amazing. Oh yeah, and he left his dog in the car the whole time. Had a small project of finding a stone slab to place on top of a steel table frame we already had and even though my project must've been small compared to others redoing their entire kitchens, I did not feel any less important at TCC. Randy was a dream to work with. He was patient and thoroughly explained how the process worked. This was great for me since I was completely new to the entire process. While I rarely leave a negative review, my experience with this company was exceptionally challenging. I also made multiple attempts to connect with the owner after he came to inspect the work, but was ignored and then finally told he simply wasn't available. There were almost too many problems to list, and while many of the installers and sales people (Jason, to name one) were helpful, I did not feel the job was managed well or with any attention to detail. I was also surprised by the office staff who continued to call my contractor instead of me. As the paying client, I found this to be both insulting and perplexing. I ultimately emailed the office saying that I didn't want their team (who was doing poor, rushed work in my opinion) to come and repair the drywall they damaged (which was supposed to be done the day prior when they came out to fix the installation issue - which was the third time they came to fix issues), and they then called our contractor and said 'can't we just come while you are there?'. When one of the installers told me that an issue (a yellowing in the sealer) couldn't be fixed he told me a specialist would be coming out to address. When I followed up with the office staff I was told 'it's probably the lighting and don't listen to him he is just a helper.' This type of behavior is concerning and I am just relieved that our contractor is an honest, candid guy. Ultimately it was addressed, but it was not an easy or smooth process. In the end our contractor is fixing issues that TCC, experts in this field, should have addressed but didn't either due to lack of interest or skill - I am not sure which. read more

I contracted with The Countertop Company for installing Laradorite countertops in my townhouse in the Village of Rancho Santa Fe. After the first bathroom counter, in the master bath, was installed and there were serious problems with their work, I had to cajole the owner to come to the job and as he is walking up to the front door he is announcing that he is walking off the job. I persuaded him to talk about it but basically he said it was taking too much time and it wasn't worth it. He butchered an inside ogee around the corners of the sinks. This was the worst. My slabs were over at this yard in Escondido and now I had to find a new fabricator. How lame is this behavior?!? read more

Although the price and install were okay, they broke our garbage disposal during the install and didn't even tell us.... since it was a 'Costco' disposal, quick replacement parts were unavailable at Home Depot. We were forced to buy another unit for approx. $100. The Countertop Company continuously gave us the run around for weeks with our request for reimbursement. Obviously, a family of six can't be without a kitchen sink that long. I wouldn't recommend a company that doesn't care about it's customers. read more

Jim and Monica were very accommodating to my schedule, as well as friendly and courteous to work with. Rob and his son completed the installation and did an amazing job- I couldn't have asked for better. After the counters were completed I noticed that my dishwasher was wobbly. Assuming it was an issue with counter installation I contacted Jim in sales to get the matter resolved. Although I discovered that the problem was due to another company's mistake, Rob came all the way to Downtown San Diego from Escondido to make the 5 minute fix. Contracted TCC to put a quartz counter top in a kitchen remodel. It was installed wrong the 1st time they installed it, took several weeks and countless phone calls for them to finally come out and re-install, It has been just a little over a year and the seam where they installed a second piece is separating. Several calls to the company have been ignored. Finally went in person where I was rudely told that our problem isn't a priority to them and when they get around to it they will send someone by to look at it and go from there. In the mean time it has made a beautiful kitchen not so beautiful...it is also getting dangerous and I have almost broken several dishes...Have almost cut myself cleaning the counter top. read more

The staff ( Monica and Jim) were very professional, friendly and went above and beyond to make sure our kitchen remodel was a pleasant experience. The type of work that went into installing our Dekton countertops far exceeded our expectations. The countertops were cut to size and were precisely put in place according to the original design. I recently had my kitchen countertops replaced by The Countertop Company, and had an ok experience. It started with me going into their showroom to choose my countertops. I was told I needed to schedule an appointment, because due to Covid, they were only allowing one customer at a time. I was totally ok with this. However, during my appointment, another lady showed up and said she didn't have an appointment, but they helped her anyways. During this appointment, I knew essentially what I wanted, but was only shown one brand. I'm assuming it's because this was the brand they had in their stockyard, but ultimately, I have no idea if prices were higher or lower for the other brands. Ideally, I would have liked a couple of pricing options. I was given a quote on site, which was nice. I decided to move forward with the quote, and was told I needed to pay for materials right away before a template measurement could be scheduled. No problem. I paid, and got an email right away to schedule not only the template, but the install. I was really impressed with the speed. However, I was told that templates could only completed on Tuesdays, so I had to shift a lot of meetings around to accommodate, only to have no one show up or call to say they couldn't make it. I was called later with a lot of apologies, and suddenly a template could be done on Wednesday. Great. Install day was great. I ended up having a meeting scheduled right at the end of the work arrival window, so they were nice enough to accommodate me and show up midway through the window. The guys were incredibly accommodating and polite, and were super fast and completed everything quickly. I was a little upset that one worker didn't have a mask on however. When they finished, the counters looked great, and the guys were rushing me to sign off on their papers because they had to get to their next install. I took the time to fully inspect everything, and I'm glad I did, because the sealing of the counter to the wall was non-existent in several areas. I pointed it out, and the guys quickly finished it before rushing off. Overall, I love my new countertops, but I felt like a lot of little details were missed during my experience. read more
