It was ok. We got truffles and they were underwhelming. They gave us samples as we walked by, it was the brick chocolate and it was solid. So we went in and walked around. I got some small packaged up different flavors of brick chocolate, and then some truffles. Not very cheap here so I was expecting a delightful experience. And overall - it was meh. Like I mentioned, the truffles were overall very underwhelming in regards to flavor profiles. more on the blander or plain side but the flavors were not nearly as strong or distinct as I had anticipated. The brick chocolates were good, but nothing exceptional and out of this world. Overall the quality and the experience of the products we got did not live up to the expectations or the premium price we paid. read more

My friend dragged me in here cause we wanted to try some Dubai chocolate.. well, they don't do tastings for the Dubai chocolate but they do let you taste some of the other chocolates! We walked in the door and they were handing out samples of the milk chocolate hazelnut.. OMG what just hit my taste buds?! That is some amazing chocolate! I love hazelnut and Laderach hit it spot on! It was love at first bite! We ended up buying a piece of Dubai chocolate and a piece of the hazelnut! Holy moly this place is pricey!! Almost $20 for two little slabs, probably about 6" x 3" in size, maybe a bit smaller.. they sell these by weight. The Dubai chocolate was a nutty, salty, pistachio crisp encased in some milk chocolate. It was good, but do I see why there's a hype for it?! Probably not! Consensus all around was that the hazelnut was better.. that stuff is like crack.. I didn't want to stop and it quickly disappeared. I can see myself coming back real soon just for another piece of heaven. Fancy Swiss chocolate?! Yes, please! I see why there's a hype for you! The store also sell chocolate in gift boxes.. they sell truffles and all sorts of other deliciousness! It's pretty tight in there and they gain a crowd just from people wanting samples! I ordered my favorite truffles here tonight being the 80 % Dark Chocolate, Cacao and Raspberry. The cacao and raspberry are supposedly limited time, so glad I got them tonight specifically. All 3 were very delicious, high quality, had crispy exteriors with creamy centers and very flavorful. I love dark chocolate and raspberry flavors, either separately or together. The 80% dark one was nicely bitter and full of cocoa vibes. The cacao one was kind of tart like it should be. The raspberry one was refreshingly tart and fruity on the outside, while being real chocolaty on the inside. Great, friendly, welcoming service from the lady at the counter. This is a gourmet spot for truffles and the best replacement for Godiva when it left this mall. read more

Luxury Swiss Chocolate Lay-duh-rack opened up in Galleria mall exactly where Godiva used to be earlier. Opened on 25th Oct 2021, their special collection is mouth watering. All their chocolates get shipped overnight from Switzerland - now thats what I call original. There is a sampling area for many of the chocolates which gives you a pretty good idea of taste before making a purchase. The staff is very friendly and will hand over as many samples as you wish to try. My personal favorite, the sweet tangy mildly bitter orange dark chocolate flavor. They have some great gift boxed versions too. read more

There was a really tall female employee handing out chocolate samples who gave me tons of attitude when I asked for another piece. Still ended up still buying 2 lb of chocolate . "The Lamborghini of Chocolate" and they have Vegan options. So during a visit to The Galleria Mall, I discover this sweet little spot and indeed it was a sweet spot. You name the nut and they have the chocolate to pair it with. Everything about the service and experience here says, 1. I do not eat enough chocolate 2. I did not try enough samples 3. I have to go back. 4. I have to buy more next time to eat later, unless I eat all in one setting like I did the last time. The store was bright and brilliant in the lux of colors Black, White and Gold. As far as nuts, Almond they had it, Pistachio they had it and more. BEST chocolate I have had in forever!! I got the hazelnut bark and it was amazing! They do weigh the chocolate by pound which can be a bit pricey or you can tell them a price you want to pay and they can alter that for you. I found them in my city and it's a 40 minute drive and I will be making that drive to get some more. Lol read more

What a treat! I was a bit overwhelmed when walking in because I have never been to a store like this before. However, Michaela and Edward were so very sweet and helpful. They gave us all the samples in the world and we loved ALL OF IT. I ended leaving with several truffles and the white chocolate with strawberries and dark chocolate with blackberry and the best by far was the one with the oranges. Clearly, I was craving fruits and chocolate lol. Will go back and try some different ones next time I am in the area. read more

Located inside the Galleria, where Godiva used to be. I kept seeing this pop up and decided to try. Apparently, their chocolate gets shipped overnight from Switzerland. You're able to sample their chocolates (they have slabs of different flavor varieties out in front). It is a bit pricy for the chocolates but you can buy how big of a piece you want (it's by weight). I ended up getting a piece of the hazelnut dark chocolate - I loved the roasted caramelized hazelnuts in it and the dark chocolate tasted really good. It's a once in a while splurge for me if I happen to go to the Galleria, but I would definitely say to try them out if you want some chocolates! read more

As you can see they also have truffles to buy individually or prepackaged truffles in various sizes. It's a must try!! The truffles are great if you decide to have your own tea party at home. For valentines, I bought some truffles chocolate for my wife. The store is located inside the galleria at westheimer. Läderach has some of the best Chocolate you can get. There used to be a Godiva shop in Galleria and because it was gone I figured there would be no more higher quality chocolate in Houston but luckily I found Läderach in the Galleria and it is significantly better than Godiva. Their 80% Dark Chocolate and Hazelnut chocolate is some of my favorite. This quality of chocolate is definitely worth the price. A box or two of their chocolates make a great gift. read more
