First time back since the remodel and wasn't impressed. The ambiance of the new look was refreshing but the service was still the same. The look of the restaurant was a welcomed change. The food wasn't the best. It was meh at best. The service was not as efficient as I would have liked. Ordered the breakfast platter of turkey bacon, hash browns and fried eggs and a side of French Toast and it took over 20 min to make.. People who were there before us and came after us were getting their food before us. The staff did not make any attempt to let us know why the order was taking so long. I had to come to the counter to check and they responded with "what's your number?". I was 66 and they were currently working on 74 order. Service needs some work. This place was a bit hit and miss. I ordered the chicken and waffles and a gyro bowl with lamb for the protein. The waffle was pretty good, but the chicken (I opted for the wings instead of chicken fingers) was just ok and on the small side. I did appreciate that they were whole wings however. The gyro bowl had good lamb, but it was waaaaay too saucy - just overloaded with it. Not that the sauce tasted bad, but too much of a good thing becomes a bad thing. It made it difficult to appreciate the bowl. One oddity was I noticed on the receipt that they charge $.15 for bags. That's not a lot of money, but I was a bit annoyed that they don't tell you that in advance. I mean, perhaps I wanted to say that valuable change and just carry my order out by hand?! Ice spot if you want some decent fried chicken in a pinch that's not kfc or Popeyes. They have good deals during the week so check them out. They are constantly upgrading the dining area and it always looks clean. Sides are mediocre this place is all about the chicken. This spot used to be my go to for their Fried Chicken, Breakfast Sandwich Croissants and Mint Lemonade. These items are pretty good, when prepared correctly. However, I can't say the same about the banana pudding. It seems like a teenage child trying to surprise their parent with a dessert dish.. We were fooled by how it looked. I came back again lol. I have a love-hate relationship with this place. There was no other option one night and they were still open a few min before closing, they squeezed us in... Didn't have biscuits left but gave us extra chicken which was nice. I have to admit the chicken and the kabobs and sides are good-- we like the pumpkin/squash, chickpeas, and rice. The eggplant is a little too greasy. The chicken is always perfectly crispy and not dry. Biscuits are usually good too but we didn't get any this time around. Service is okay and we encountered no errors going in person -- just don't order from an app service-- we've been burned several times with that. Service was good when no one was there anyway... This place is in the Swan Creek shopping center. Went there yesterday for my good Friday fish. There was about a 20-minute wait after ordering because most everything is cooked to order. The fish are big and meaty. They cost about$11 with a side. And I ordered the chic peas and they were good. They were flavourful with a hint of mint and salt seasoning. Inside, there was a sign stating that they had recently painted so part of the lobby was blocked off with limited seating available to dine. This place does not respect the community. You can also tell because they don't respond to any of these reviews. They only want our money because people keep coming back. You can tell about the manager's attitude. Now that he's disrespectful, but he's definitely not welcoming the two times I've been there. You see all of the complaints and still nothing gets done. There is a large puddle of water in the back floor lobby. Most of the seats and tables have food or crumbs on them and it's only 1130a. The floors and baseboards are filthy. The next move is contacting the health inspectors office. I'm sure they will find multiple violations. Just because the food is considered good doesn't mean you get to skim out on cleanliness and health. But then again we have to stop supporting and making them think it's OK. This is the best fried chicken I've ever had in Fort Washington. I can also place it in my overall top 5. I went here twice during my stay. Always hot and crispy. I also had mashed potatoes. The food is good. Don't get me wrong. The ladies working here are also very nice. The guys working here are kind of a*holes. I've seen the older one disrespect customers on a consistent basis, which has been noted in other reviews. The younger one is kind of a jerk too. They're extremely stingy with the sauces, past the point of rationality or reason, beyond what I've seen at similar restaurants. It's a shame, because again the food isn't bad and the women working here are pleasant. Also the phone service is automated and terrible. The online service might charge you full price for things that are on sale, which the ladies working here will likely correct for you without hassle, but heaven help you if you have to deal with the guys. There's other restaurants in the area with good food and prices like Sapodilla's carribean that might not be as easy to spot off 210. I'll keep my distance until service improves. read more

Its in the plaza near Ft. Washington Medical Center near the Wendy's and Mc D's. Wed is 10 wings for $10 and the wings were fried hard with lip smacking flavor. The Mac & Cheese was alright (can't to many places beat homemade). The inside was on the point as decor with wood all around. You place your order sit and your number is called. I got a fried chicken meal from this spot after church as I have been missing something with a home cooked feel. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. It wasn't a bad meal at all; typical fried chicken meal however it was lacking. It wasn't seasoned very well; just extremely salty. The breading was slightly soggy and not as crunchy as I would desire. The sides were okay. The service was efficient so I would give some kudos for that. I'm gonna leave an honest review like it or not . I went here with my dad because he suggested it being a new place and all but i totally was left unsatisfied. I felt this place is overrated and just got chicken wings on the menu in an attempt to cator to the demographic in the area. The chicken wings were the smallest I've ever seen in my life and super dry. The Mac and cheese was cold and very unsatisfying my dad had to heat it up but I should have known better consider it's just sitting in a pan all day no lid . Also regarding the service I felt like my money wasn't appreciated or valued as a customer of this establishment and that's why I'll never revisit I felt the cashier was very untuned to us and felt like I was giving our money and time to a place that doesn't value good food or the community it serves . I would recommend atleast for me and mines never eat here again a soda was close to five dollars by the way. My wife and I ordered for pick-up and as we arrived at home excited to eat, we discovered that the rice for both orders is missing for both orders. We called their numbers and waited for at least a while before someone picked up the phone however the person who answered the phone is only taking orders or someone responsible for picking up the phone. We told the person of what the problem was, but she could not help. We asked them if we could go back to the restaurant and was told to go ahead. ....What this is all about? To save your time of dealing this situation, it will be very helpful that you watch and see what they are putting in your bag order before paying and leave the restaurant.
