Attempted to install my own new smart lock on an old front door but realized the holes were cut with odd proportions and could not finish the job myself. Called M&H to explain, sent over some pictures, and set up an appointment for two days later. Arrived on time and worked quickly. He recut the deadbolt hole in the right place and was able to complete the smart lock installation. He also too the time to redrill holes and sand down the slide plate to make sure everything aligned properly. We needed to have some door locks changed, so I called around to several locksmiths and decided to try M&H because of the positive Yelp reviews and they offered a good price, including military discount. Michael was able to come out the same day and was not just on time, but a few minutes early. This was not a problem because he sent a text to let me know he was on his way and the time he would be here. Michael reviewed the work I requested and then recommended some adjustments he could make - one lock was upside down and a couple didn't connect easily (had to jiggle them in). The garage door opener stopped working. The opener was installed before i owned the house. Guessing it is well over 20 years old. Unfortunately for me, the door was in the closed position. The ONLY way into my detached garage is through the car garage door. Luckily the door did have a keyhole up high and centered in the door. Called and spoke to Michael at M&H Locksmith, explaining I thought the keyhole was for the emergency release. He agreed and said he could help. He was able to come the same day I called. I haven't locked myself out of my apartment in the last 3-4 years up until yesterday and it only took me a few seconds after I had shut my door and walked down stairs to realize that I did NOT have my keys in my hand nor in my bag (yet, I still thought it was a good idea to continue walking OUTSIDE of my building completely as if I was going to my car -- but again, my car keys were also w/ my apartment keys, lol -- so I managed to lock myself out of TWO doors now -- what an idiot!) After feeling lame and seeing as how I only had 40% battery left on an old iPhone6S (where at any moment in time could potentially shut down on me when the percentage is so low), I quickly tried calling my apartment manager (no answer) and then went on my Yelp! I would recommend M&H over and over again. While many Locksmith indicate that they are available 24/7, I can confirm that they truly does abide by that. Not only do they say what they do, they are also extremely professional. During these times where we're all quarantined in our homes and also have curfews due to the current protests, Michael was still able to come and help us. I should have called Michael long time ago instead of waiting for my handyman, finally when I decided to look in Yelp yesterday, it was his day off so I scheduled with him today at 12:30-1pm. My front door couldn't be locked after locking it, the knob still turned and my son's room the Schlage couldn't unlock after locking the door. He solved the problems fast and courteous, explained to us about Schlage model we got 5 yrs ago was easily broken, it was discontinued from many problems and couldn't be fixed, I gave him the new one that I just bought 2 weeks ago to replace it and got 3 more spare keys he made for me. Our front door lock had been giving us issues for quite some time. On our way out the other day the entire barrel came out. We called M&H and left a message. We were contacted right away. They were able to come fix the lock within a couple hours. Michael came by the day after I texted him to fix a broken deadbolt lock. Our door has old hardware and is kind of an odd lock. When we had it rekeyed years ago, that locksmith had to come out a few times to figure out the lock. M&H had no trouble with our lock at all. I searched around Yelp and found M&H Locksmith with stellar reviews. They were the only one on here with a perfect 5-star rating. We needed a new mortise lock for our back door. I did my research, and mortise locks normally cost $400-800, and it looked complicated to install. Weary of improper installation, I sent a message through Yelp and received a phone call from Michael within the hour. He asked me to send him pictures of my lock through text so he can evaluate and give me a quote. He had estimated it would cost around $500 for parts & labor. He told me the lock he is providing is not the same Schlage brand but is of the same quality. Schlage is more expensive because they have a patent and name brand. Understood. My place of repair is in Huntington Park and M&H Locksmith is stationed all the way in Pasadena. Michael drove to my place the very next day. He made quick work of the mortise lock and even offered to make the keys of the back door match the front door. He even provided extra sets of keys for free.
