Amazing!! Hubby and I visit northern Georgia every thanksgiving week and we accidentally stumbled upon M&J a couple years ago. Well, we made sure we went again this year for thanksgiving. We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE M&J. The food, the staff, and the vibe are just amazing. All of the food is fresh, delicious and satisfying. Since COVID when you opened back up all the waitresses and servers wore mask. They also wore a more professional uniform fir a family based business. Two weeks ago the waitressing were not wearing there mask and the hostess had on a very low cut top so when she leaned over you could see it all. Since little boys come in there I feel it's totally inappropriate for family and could be considered indecent exposure. I mean really this is not Hooters.. Cover your top up and put your mask back on for the safety of your clients.. read more

On 8/21/17 i ventured to a friends house in Eastanolle, GA. to get into/closer to the dark zone of the 2017 eclipse. It took me two hours to get there from Gwinnett County on this day (normally about a one hour drive). I still got there well before the eclipse started so my friend took me to lunch at M&J Home Cooking. The restaurant was very nice on the inside, clean and well staffed. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. The food was awesome for a buffet. I had fried chicken, chicken wings, country fried steak and gravy as well as several vegetables and corn bread. All were very good. For the price of less than $9.00 (iced tea included) for an all you can eat buffet it was amazing. I told my friend that if I lived within a short drive of this place as he does; I'd be eating there three times a week! read more

Confused after my second visit. The first visit blew me away. They had a great selection, everything was cooked to perfection, and their hot wings were to die for. We left more than satisfied and extremely happy that we found such a delicious and affordable place to eat in the town we now call home. That was a Wednesday around 5:30. The next visit we were very excited to return. It was a Friday and probably closer to 7:30. We were a little disappointed from the moment we walked in and saw the selection was nowhere near as diverse as the first time, but we picked up a few favorites from the first visit (fried chicken, mashed potatoes, some bread, and fish) and once we started eating, our disappointment only grew. The chicken was completely dry and covered in grease (total opposite of the last visit), the mashed potatoes were bland and cold, the gravy was practically slightly seasoned water, the fish was undercooked, and the bread was rock solid even though it was a fresh batch. I was only able to stomach one whole piece of chicken and a couple bites of the potatoes. Both my husband and I were sick within an hour of eating our food. We were so disappointed because the first visit was outstanding. Not sure if we will be going back. If we do, it will definitely be during the week and not on a weekend. read more

My wife and I have eaten here several times and have brought friends here. The wait staff are great. There are at least three buffet restaurants in Toccoa and this is the best of all. The prices are unbelievably good. One of the other buffets lowered their prices and the selections were cut back. Again, this is the best buffet in Toccoa. The thing for me is how fresh are the steam tables. I have never been in here when it was not in tip top shape. read more

I like this place it could have better service they are a little slow about getting your drinks and not very good at refilling . But other than that the food is good. read more

I took my daughter here for her birthday today, and I've got to say this is definitely some of the best food I've ever had, and the service can't be beat. Our waitress Crystal took good care of us and went above and beyond to make us feel at home, and my daughter loved her.
