Came here for the Hocking Hills Food Cruise and to my pleasant surprise, it's located inside of Hocking Hills Moonshine so it gave us an excuse to check out the still again! Inside smelt delicious and the vegetable soup they gave was one of my favorite bites of the day! As soon as I walked into this diner, I knew I liked it. I loved that homey touch. I had the corncakes. She actually told me how they were made. They were nice and buttery, crispy on the edges, and they served them with REAL maple syrup, not maple-flavored corn syrup. I love this little diner in downtown Logan. My crew stopped by for breakfast after a girls weekend trip to Hocking Hills. The interior is awesome! So many cool tchotchkes! Everyone that works here is so friendly, even with the busy Sunday morning breakfast crowd. Their menu has so many yummy items, I couldn't decided what to get. You can order breakfast or lunch/dinner all day! Everything we ordered was delicious. The prices are very reasonable too. What a gem! Stopped in here for a late breakfast, and the place was already fairly busy. We ordered the western omelette and the starvin marvin omelette covered in gravy. Both were delicious, can't go wrong either way. The restaurant is covered in decor that reminds me of your grandpa's collectibles, so there is no shortage of things to look at. It was a bit expensive and that is why I gave it a 4/5. The four of us with coffee to drink, two French dips one with fries and one only a sandwich, the breakfast bowl and my Italian sub with fries with tip was $80. This was the perfect place to end a girls weekend in the Hocking Hills. The decor is perfection and only matched by the food. The vibe is laid back and down to earth with kitschy tchotchkes all around. I got a traditional breakfast with eggs over easy, rye toast, hashbrowns (well done- at my request) and bacon. The price is right! The owner, Michelle, came over and chatted us up. We were in the area to celebrate my birthday and headed home. We stopped for a meal and Michelle led the whole restaurant in a round of happy birthday and some free buckeye cake. I was low-key mortified but mostly warmed by Michelle spoiling me. Owner, Michelle, seated us right away. She was decked out in Cleveland Browns gear as well (it was Sunday and they are slated to play the Bengals). I was doing a solo camping/ hiking trip but after rain the evening before and into the next morning, I decided to go get breakfast. I'm happy I did! Although the item I ordered was your basic breakfast with eggs, bacon, home fries and toast, it was still very good. Nothing extraordinary, although, the bacon was cooked perfectly. We found this restaurant on a whim. Easy to find, easy to park. Extremely friendly staff with a welcoming family atmosphere. Fun decorations EVERYWHERE. It was hard to choose from the specials. Highly recommended for a quality breakfast at a great price. When you walk in the have a sign about everyone being family. You see the his all the time and never "really" feel like family. That was not the case here. Our server truly made us feel welcome. When she first sat down she was kind enough to grab coloring books for the kids. The food was excellent, the wife said her chocolate chip pancakes were some of the best she has had. Not sure how there can be good or bad ones but she claims it is the chocolate to pancake ratio was perfect and evenly spread throughout. I went with the omelette with everything and it did not disappoint. Typically I have to order my omelette custom. It was nice to have a place that already had one on the menu with everything. As any parent knows, the kids finish eating before you are half way done. The server did not skip a beat. She brought building blocks over for the kids to play with in the floor behind us so we could finish our breakfast. Cannot wait to be back in town to enjoy a true American diner. read more
