Tammy's country kitchen...where do I even start? They are amazing. The food is always delicious, my husband and I have never had to wait hours for our food to be made, the food always comes out hot, the servers are always super sweet and, I love Tammy's baked goods she sells every now and then. This restaurant is a smaller one but boy oh boy they are amazing. My husband and I have been going to Tammy's since before i found out I was pregnant with our first child, we met a server there her name is Deidre. She is beyond kind, compassionate her service is amazing! She has watched our little family grow from just my husband and I to our little boy coming in there with us. It's not the best restaurant in Nelsonville, but it's not the worst. They have sausage sandwiches to die for, pies, and other country classics. The service is amazing, the workers are so nice. They ask u how ur day was, see if everything is ok, ECT. read more

Food taste good and that's a bonus because it will stay with you for a few days. My girlfriend and I both felt the effects which we have dubbed TammyFlu. The only thing that we both had was the sausage gravy and the water. (Maybe it's a NelsonvilleFlu and Tammy's is just the vehicle?) I've been here twice. And I've lived in town for two years if that means anything. It's hands-down the most terrible coffee I've ever had, probably attributed to the actual toxic, carcinogenic water in Nelsonville. The food was average at best for a small-town diner. I wish I could give this place a better review because there's nothing better than a good breakfast diner on a Sunday morning. But it just doesn't make the cut, go to FullBrooks for some decent coffee and a sandwich. You'll be paying a bit more but it'll actually be enjoyable. read more

This is basic diner food. We have been here a few times and the liver and onions are good the country fried steak was perfect, although I believe the mashed potatoes were from a box ( dehydrated). The pie was a little stale but the took it off our cheque so I was ok with that. The service is great and our server was friendly and prompt. read more

Think of food with gravy and you have Tammy's. It is a small place, about 8 tables with a counter, that is right up against a large hill so space is limited due to geography. The food is your basic diner fare like meatloaf, chicken fried steak, and sloppy joes. The portions are average as is the price. It can be hard to find but is one of the better, if only restaurants in Nelsonville. read more

Good food, good people. Comfort food. Small town feel and nice homey ambiance. Definitely not a chain, and that's a good thing. Keep an eye on the calendar of specials. Some folks around here really enjoy ordering breakfast delivered to their work. I really like their turkey club sandwich for lunch and meatloaf for dinner. Kid friendly! (They even keep sippy cups on hand for the young 'uns.) Enjoy a chat with your neighboring table or keep to yourself and soak in the atmosphere. Just be sure to order dessert. read more

Our family of 8 stopped into Tammy's Country Kitchen on Tuesday May 22, 2012. It was about 4pm when we stopped for a late lunch/early dinner. All of us ordered something different from the menu -meat loaf, fried chicken, chicken fajita, open faced roast beef, fish sandwich, chicken alfredo, country fried steak, pork chops plus a few appetizers. The food was delicious, service great and prices were very reasonable. We will be back when the occassion arises. Thanks again! read more
