There are some younger waiters that could use the proper training and less cell phone's I have spent thousands in there and a regular and was disrespected two different occasions and asked for a new waiter due to me wanting a drink made the way I wanted I believe they are there to meet there customers expectations the disrespect I went through today was the last straw again there are great waiter's in there and great cooks but some of this younger generations are not being trained properly.Brad Moody. read more

The Blue Bell Diner has been reopened and is an amazing spot to grab breakfast! It has been remodeled and is beautiful inside and out! It has a nice modern feel to it which this town needed. They serve breakfast and lunch and have a coffee bar. They also have a walk up window for drinks! I was told my sausage gravy was homemade that day and was locally sourced. My husband got chocolate milk and I saw the jug and it is also locally sourced so I would assume most items on this menu is! Parking is the only thing I would have to say I don't like as it's metered parking and no actual lot that I'm aware of. Don't judge this place by past reviews prior to June 2022 as this one just opened then! Service was 10/10 as well. read more

Food was great. We had breakfast and coffee and everything was great. Highly recommend it.

My aunt picked up to go orders for the three of us and everything was good! Good burgers and fries to go! My mom & aunt got cottage cheese instead of fries and said that it was nice &!cold and fresh. Burgers were perfectly cooked with all the fresh fixings! My fries were crispy, hot and actually too many to finish! Good memories of going to the BB with my grandpa and so glad to see it's still open and doing great! I'm sure we'll be back! read more

Stopped by for lunch while traveling. Cute little diner and looked clean. The service was quick, and the food was good. The waitress was polite and friendly. So the reason for 2 stars vs 5...the waitress handled money, cleared dirty dishes and silverware that people ate off, played with her pink purse, handled the handheld that customers touch to pay, folded/rolled clean silverware into napkins, ate her lunch and served plates of food to customers....all without washing her hands. I know it gets crazy in the food industry, and they run around crazy trying to get everything done, but being sanitary shouldn't fall. Just a tab bit of info regarding how dirty money is...Paper money can reportedly carry more germs than a household toilet. And bills are a hospitable environment for gross microbes: viruses and bacteria can live on most surfaces for about 48 hours, but paper money can reportedly transport a live flu virus for up to 17 days. read more

We were in McConnellsville from out of town, and not realizing they closed at 3:00, we went in about 2:45 for dessert. They were very kind about it, and didn't make us feel rushed. LOVE the Blue Bell! It's Like a Johnny Rockets, before Johnny Rockets ever was a thing. An authentic 50's Diner. They have daily specials through out the week that are usually pretty good. I used to like to stop here when I would have time in the mornings and get a hardy breakfast, but it was also good for after school for a Milkshake and some fries. This is a really good clean down home cooking establishment. I actually used to work for a grocery store that was in business a while ago across the street and I would deliver groceries here, I would have to walk through the back door and into the kitchen, and I took notice to how clean they kept their kitchen. The Blue Bell has reopened and I was anxious to give it a try. I wasn't disappointed. From the iced tea with lavender syrup (so delicious) to the perfectly crisp bacon in my BLT, I was delighted with my first visit. It was lunch time and I saw lots of people ordering to go and plenty of milk shakes, burgers and fries being ordered. The burgers looked delicious! We've stopped here twice while in McConnelsville for meetings. The first time we were on a tight schedule, so we ordered chef salads. They were excellent! Loaded up with lots of meat and toppings, and excellent dressings. We stopped again last night and had more time. The special was the mile high meatloaf, and it was pretty amazing. Homemade mashed potatoes! The service was fantastic both visits, and the prices are great. We'll definitely stop here again! :) read more

1st time there, took wife and kids, horrible.. 2 young girls attempting to handle a less than 1/3 full restaurant. Got orders wrong, walked off w/o taking wife's order. Food was below par at best. Such a neat look, luv old diners, but the Service reflects the owners. We will wait for new owners before going again. read more
