Recently sent an inquiry about setting up an appointment for me and a few of my buddies for the required CCW training course, first thing I noticed was that M&M was very close to my house, and had great prices for the course. So I sent an email to Jorge and he responded minutes later saying he could do a private class for us, awesome! Jorge was very quick to respond to any emails I had sent, and we had set up an appointment. For context, i'm a pretty nervous person when it comes to tests, so going into the course I had pretty extreme anxiety. Jorge repeatedly expressed that he was there for us, not against us. And let me tell you, the best course i've ever taken. Jorge was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and took the time to allow us to ask any questions/concerns we had whether it be about the course itself, odd scenarios, If you have ANY questions, just ask! On top of the 16hr course, he showed us some drills to practice as well. I went to obtain my permit with Jorge like a two months ago. And today I went to my first class which is the basics of how to handle a gun. At the begging of the class I was very nervous because I had never know how to handle a gun, but after the class I felt way more confident. He was very patient and he made the class very interesting. My friend who went with me and I were also hands on with a lot of practice of how to load, unload and lock a gun for safety as well as we learned how to clean our gun. I attended Jorge's firearm safety course as a beginner and it was a eye-opening experience! The class size was small and Jorge was great about answering specific questions and it was very informative. Jorge also allowed me to take the test for the CA Firearms Safety Certificate so I can buy my own gun. The second day was at the range and we were able to qualify for our NRA basic shooting test and having Jorge there with me shooting a gun at a range for the first time made me less anxious and I had enough confidence to do it right. He was very detailed at describing the perfect technique to have the best aim possible and taking that into consideration was really the reason why I felt like I was able to qualify at 20 feet! I plan on going back to him for the Personal Protection in the Home class once I buy my gun and have more experience at the range. Would definitely recommend M&M Firearms for anyone, beginner or expert! read more
