John worked very quickly to come out to our home and inspect the roof in tandem with the insurance adjuster, whom John was even nice enough to schedule to be there at the time of the insurance inspection. All the paperwork and insurance hassle went very smoothly, and John was quick to answer questions, concerns, and provide recommendations on roofing materials, as well as guide us through the process (as we are first time homeowners and had never done anything like this before). When the guys came out to install the new roof (about 2 weeks later, due to the amount of jobs in our neighborhood alone), they did everything right that we can tell. They were quick and efficient in removing all the old shingles/roofing material and started re-roofing from the bare wood on the roof. Quality job, and the results look great! Highly recommend the new architectural shingles. Our roof looks completely different! Overall, we'd highly recommend using him for your roofing and hope repair needs. A+!

The timing was a little tricky because we were navigating rain delays and had to reschedule a few times, but Alex stayed flexible and kept the project moving. He had support preparing the site a few days before the concrete was poured, then came back on a very hot day and stayed focused until the repair was complete. The end result gave us back a solid, reliable driveway to reach our home at the top of a steep hill, which is critical for more reasons than I can count. It may have been a lot for one person to tackle, but Alex followed through and delivered the result we needed.

Our first encounter was with Elias, who thoroughly inspected and offered his expertise on design and what to expect. He was honest and didn't rush us or give us unreliable expectations. Initially, we just wanted a wood stove inserted into the "hole" where the old fireplace was. He kindly explained that this wasn't possible without dropping out the prefab FP, along with cutting out stone for proper clearance. Fast forward, Elias found that we had an old chimney to the left side of the unit that spanned from basement to third floor and out the roof. Long story short: in order to make this happen, we had to demolish the entire unit. We chose our stove and the flooring. Next appointment was demolition! Walks in Ben! This guy was the real deal! He was professional and courteous, but what we admired most was that he was honest! This wasn't the usual slam dunk job. Our house was built in 1980. Once demolished, we found all kinds of issues that needed addressing. The builder cut up the hardwood floor to meet the old FP, so there were odd gaps, the old side chimney was in the way! At first, Ben built out too far. We weren't happy. No worries! He came back, removed the frame and backing and built tightly around the chimney column. Throughout the entire process, they made certain all work was done to code! The initial quote never changed, even though wrenches were thrown in. I knew that the fireplace had not been used much, and technician found everything to be in near compliance. There was one small item that needed to be addressed, and he took care of it. He pointed out a couple of items that we needed to watch, and provided tips on types of wood that is appropriate to use. Braden checked out the flue in the attic as well to make sure there were no issues. We plan to use them to clean out our dryer vent as well.

Peyton with Nashville Yardscapes worked extremely hard in very uncomfortable heat to rescue my…read morelandscape beds from the poor results of my previous contractor. He hauled off five truckloads of river stone mulch, that I never should have used, treated the beds for grass and weeds, and laid a nice thick coat of black hardwood mulch over a much better quality landscape weed barrier fabric. In my backyard I had a pretty bad drainage problem especially in heavy rains that kept washing some of the mulch away from a bed that already had black mulch unlike the rest of my house that had stone. Peyton dug a trench and put in a large drain and corrugated pipe that seems to have resolved the issue after two very heavy storms since. You can tell in the photo where he did it by the grass seed and straw that he spread over the area. You can also see in the back of the landscape bed the five junipers I had transplanted a couple of years ago. Half of the growth on one of them has died and I may lose the entire shrub. Payton said that that's common for transplants plus the heat has been pretty bad. But he advised me on how I might be able to save it if I treated the roots a couple of times this year with a hormone treatment solution. If it's too late for it I'll just have Payton come back and replace it.

The concrete we added to the posts wasn't a problem for my husband because we had no choice and unfortunately we had to do that not long after install. Randy came out right away to make measurements and returned within a week with a design. We got in his queue (two months) for new work. Land Art is in great demand in the Clarksville area. They ripped out all the old stuff and planted the new items and laid down fresh mulch. It all looks like a million bucks. What he estimated for us is what we paid for the work and we don't begrudge him a nickel for what they did.
