When it was finally our turn the I was asked to soak my feet. The water was way too hot for me and the water was almost full to the top by the time cold water was turned on to temper it. So I soaked my feet in the water and waited. Again, no big deal. It was still so much on the warm side though that I ended up breaking into a sweat. I don't think they had the air conditioning on inside their store. Looking around my mom's gel manicure, her manicurist did a great job and she was very sweet. The lady that did my pedicure was also nice, well so I thought (until she took my payment). The lady that did my nails while I sat in the pedicure chair did a really bad job with my nails. I didn't realize how bad until I got home. See attached pics. When all was said and done and I was paying, I was told to add the tip to the receipt. I guess it wasn't good enough. As I gave the receipt back and thanked the lady who did my pedicure she just turned and walked away. No "you're welcome", no "thank you", no nothing. I will have to say that the lady that did my nails was kind enough to find me a regular polish and a gel polish that matched perfectly which I appreciate. It's just that the work was pretty bad and was rushed because they had people waiting after us. Overall a horrible job on my nails. My toes were ok though - but done by someone else. For expensive as this stuff is, never again!

She is incredibly rude and is always so rough with my hands. This past weekend, I was unfortunate enough to have her handling my SNS. She didn't say a word when she started working on my hands, just threw everything in my lap. The nail colors, mini bean bag and the UV light - literally thrown down. At one point, I was rudely told, "Give me your hand!" She was also very rough with my fingers. In fact, I left with a few of them bleeding and now it hurts to have water even touch them. Based on other reviews, I know this same woman has already been mentioned. Unfortunately, I believe she is one of the owners if not, the owner. I pass by way too many nail places to get here from Duluth. Not sure why I've subject myself to this treatment for as long as I have, but I will not be back.

I waited for about 10mins before I finally left. THEN as I'm TRYING to leave, this woman grabbed my arm trying to force me to stay, telling me someone would come start with me. It didn't matter how many times I told her it was okay, they're busy, I can come back another day, she still kept her hands on my arms squeezing them. I managed to leave. I deceived to give them another try. Everything was great until it was time to pay. I chose a basic pedicure which is $35 on the price menu, I got French tip. Tell me why, as she's checking me out, my total is suddenly $50!!!!!! I told her I think she made a mistake and she said no. Do you know these people charged me to take off my nail polish and told me it was because I had gel nail polish when i told them atleast 5 different occasions it was regular polish. The lady who originally started on my toes told her the same thing, it was regular polish YET she still tried to insist I had gel polish. I had to get back to work so I told them I'd pay now and come back later since I work across the street. She did not care at all that I said that bc she started painting my toes. She asked if I wanted a hot towel, I told her no. She said it won't add time bc she will wrap the towel around my legs and do my toes at the same time, I said it's okay but she said it won't affect the time so I gave in and said yes. Do you know they charged me for all those services and not ONCE told me anything would be an additional fee. It took the customers in the nail salon to stand up for me instead of her staff. I told her not once did they say it would cost extra for French tip. Not once did they said it would cost extra to wrap a .3 second warm towel around my leg NOR did I come in with gel polish. She really tried to argue me down and I hate that. I was ready to call the police because excuse me? The only reason I didn't is because a customer said she would pay the difference and even then, the staff started trying to yell at her and tell her she couldn't pay for my nails. Very sweet of the customer but understand that wasn't the issue. They try to get over on people so bad. Why in the world would I need or want all those extra services done in my freaking lunch break. The very nice tip I was going to give completely went away. I will never come back to this place. I should've sewed them for the first encounter. Respectfully, fuck these people. I came in for SNS with a tip and chrome design, expecting it to last at least two weeks. Unfortunately, within a week, multiple nails fell/broke off, indicating a poor application. I promptly contacted the spa, and they agreed to redo my nails at no extra cost (photos of our messages attached). However, during my return visit, my nail technician seemed visibly upset, leading to a sloppy and unclean job. Despite the poor service, I still decided to leave a tip. To my surprise, as I left, the employees chased me down, insisting I pay an additional $15 for "cat eyes," a term I have NEVER heard (despite getting my nails done MULTIPLE times at this and other locations), and $5 for the "design" (which was essentially the same as the chrome design I had initially asked for). From my perspective, I received the same nails with only a different color powder. Though promised no extra charges, I ended up paying $20 in addition to the tip. I could have accepted a $5 additional payment just for the "design," but being charged over $65 for a bad visit and another $20 for ANOTHER bad visit is just so bizarre to me. The commitment to not charge me was not upheld, and I paid for such poor services. Overall, I'm upset by the decline in service and quality at this establishment and I do not recommend anyone visit. There are other nail salons nearby that value quality and respect. I will not be returning.

When I saw Lyndsay's review for Spa Nails, I decided to give them a call and see what their hours were. I talked to Peter on the phone, explained what I was looking for, and he said to come on in at anytime. I headed out a few minutes after the call and prayed that it would be a good experience. All I can say is that Peter was AMAZING! My nails look INCREDIBLE and while he had to remove my old, damaged nails, he did it without any problems. We chatted and chatted the whole time and it was like talking to an old friend. We talked about our kids, he gave me suggestions for places to see and visit in the area, and was just really nice. I feel like I won the lottery with going to Spa Nails and finding the best nail person that I've ever had. Peter is so talented and takes each fill as a challenge.
