I'm from out of town and decided to check out this local nursery while I was here. All I can say is it's a good thing I don't live close, otherwise I would stop by every day and end up broke lol. Not only were there hard to find plants that I don't ever see in my area, but the prices were great. It was so nice to be able to buy a plant I was looking for and not have to spend so much on it's marked up price. I'm already planning my next visit when I am out that way in 2 weeks. The nursery is a lot bigger than it seems and super pretty. The lady who helped me was also very nice and helped me carry my plants to the car. I can't wait to take my mom and go back. read more

M&M Nursery is great place to visit for the eyes, soul, and nose. What a bright spot in this bland old Tustin Avenue neighborhood they're in. This isn't too big or too small. They have a little of everything for your garden, no matter the size. A poet once said, "A single rose can be your garden". And they've got the mini gardens that are really cool. That's something you rarely see in any garden. Roberta, an old friend is a self-described rose nut, though her friends and I just think she's a nut. Anyway, 15 years ago, she told me about this place. She and her husband have 30 plus roses in their yerd, and this is their favorite place to buy roses.. So when a friend of mine of mine had her 39th birthday (again!), she wanted a rose called, "Double Delight". It's a vanilla ice cream colored white on the top and center with a strawberry red petal on the bottom. It's a very sweet and very fragrant hybrid tea, the kind you cut and put in a vase and voila - it's aromatherapy. They had it here, and made a great birthday present. It's still as strong and beautiful as ever. But they have more than this variety, and more than just roses. Every year, around March, they start to get the spring bedding plants. And the stars of the show are the tomatoes, bell peppers, egg plants, and others. They have most of the varieties that are "hot" for the season as well as classic types - like Early Girl still the largest selling variety in the world. Last year here, I bought Sungold - about the sweetest tomato of all and very prolific, Pink Brandywine is there, too, and it wins lots of tomato tasting contests. I also got the sweet, fruity, and spicy Green Grape used to make green ketchup. They all did well into the fall. They have organic and non-organic fertilizers and pesticides and soil amendments. I totally support long time family run businesses such as this. They know their stuff, and are really happy to share their knowledge. Because of the compact size of the place, they take good care of every plant. Everything looks great, especially the flowering plants and fruit tree in the spring and summer. You park and everything is right there. Prices are reasonable. Lines aren't usually too bad, but you might get behind someone buying lots and lots of plants with their tax refund.. They'll help you to your car if you need it. The only tough thing sometimes is the parking. On gorgeous spring weekend days, you might have to fight to get a parking spot. I suggest avoiding those times altogether and come during the week. I've had to park around the corner when the old ladies start snarling for a parking spot. Cat fights for parking can ruin a sunny day. read more

My 5 yr. old daughter thought this place was magical! All the little fairy gardens put together scattered throughout. I bought a couple indoor plants for the house (which is what I was looking for) but i ended up leaving with all the materials to build our own fairy scene at home. What a gold mine for rare plants! I'm always excited to go to this nursery, especially after Covid-19 hit and gardening quickly became a fun hobby. Wow. Just. Wow. Beautiful lush plants, pots, fairy garden items, seeds, fairies...this is a lovely garden. They have plants form the very tiny frizzle sizzles I picked up to huge stag horn ferns. Parking lot is good sized. Look at the pictures they will say more than I can. read more

What a charming nursery! I found them when I was calling around for milkweed for the monarch caterpillars - the woman who answered was very helpful and knowledgeable. I like that they don't treat their plants with anything that could be harmful to the caterpillars-and they had a selection beyond the one kind you usually find at the garden stores. In addition, they have a beautiful, charming shop with wind chimes and garden decorations, some fountains and lovely pots- and a wonderful fairy garden selection. My favorite part was exploring the sample fairy gardens they had outside, with sections for sun and shade- it's so much fun! My vet is down the street and I make the drive from LA monthly for meds for the birds- I can see making a special trip to enjoy this little gem as well. Check the hours before you come - and allow time to wander! read more

Wide selection of plants and succulents, although I do have to say their staff wasn't as helpful as I'd like. The cashier just told us the materials for terrariums will be outside (and pointed), so I had to find out everything for myself... Another downside is that their glass terrarium containers aren't very cute ... there's a much better selection at Joanne's and michaels ! Overall... I recommend this place for a wide variety of plants I also am so sad I forgot to check in and redeem my 5$ off a 20 or more ! :( haha read more

The nursery was a few minutes away form closing but was so kind to let me look around. I didn't have to look far because I was focus on my mission: succulents! Lol Flew all the way to SoCal for a small vacation, I was determined to bring home a variety of succulents to make my heart happier. Who knew that I would become a plant kind of girl? *Smiles* I'm not sure what is the avg costs for the mini succulent choices, but price was great for me. They had a large variety of healthy and gorgeous succulents The lady behind the counter was very friendly and the transaction ran smoothly. This is a great garden place with incredibly nice people! I finally have a place that will allow me a garden so I stopped in to start from scratch and they had a large selection and endless patience for all my questions. They gave great advice and never tried to upsell me. If you are into fairy gardens this is a great resource, as well. They have a large inventory for all the decor you would need as well as many pre-made versions. Most of the plant there can be used in these gardens, too. Overall, A+ for this place. Such a special place to visit, I've shopped here for many years and it's always been a destination spot even when we lived at the beach. They carry all sorts of wonderful plants including beautiful perennials and in all the colors including the colors I most appreciate, lavenders and pinks. They also carry pretty plants I don't find at other nurseries. I never leave empty handed as their selection is so good. The owners are very helpful as well as knowledgeable and friendly. The prices are quite reasonable which is always a big consideration. Definitely a favorite place to plant shop! read more

WONDERFUL, MAGICAL nursery. I love this place so much! I stopped by here for my birthday a few weeks ago and didn't buy anything but made it a point to come back to build a fairy garden someday. Thank you to The staff at M&M, for being so accommodating. We visited the first time on Saturday and we were surprised to see the great selection of ornamental plants. We love the plants that are pre arranged and potted in the beautiful pots. There were so many to choose from. After we decided on the plant for our friend who was just releasefrom the hospital, they were nice enough to help us further decorate it and box it for transport. Thank you M&M. So glad I gave this place a visit! Went here after another local nursery was closed unexpectedly. I assumed it wouldn't have the selection I wanted given the emphasis on fairy items. I was wrong. This place has an amazing selection of flowering plants and a very knowledgeable staff. This nursery has many lovely plants and flowers that are not offered by the big box stores or other nurseries. Going to M&M is (for me) like visiting someone's garden. There are lovely, natural, seemingly spontaneous, diverse displays of color and greenery. I enjoy seeing their creative fairy gardens with imaginative settings. Miniature accessories are also available here and very reasonably priced should you decide to make a fairy garden of your own. read more

This is one of my favorite nurseries in OC. The plant selection and atmosphere is always top tier. I purchased a juvenile monstera from them this past summer for $15 and it has done nothing but thrive! There were many individual plants within the pot that has made it a very full plant today and one of my favorites. Worth the price and amazing plant quality :) read more

I found this nursery on accident a year and a half ago and finally am getting around to writing them a much deserved review. This is by far my favorite place to get my plants as well as just a really beautiful place to walk around. There is an adorable cat that roams the grounds and if you're lucky she'll greet you at the check stand and let you pet her! If I could put a 0 star I would. Love coming here but today we had a long drive in traffic and asked to use the restroom so we could stay longer and shop. The angry, snooty, arrogant, lady in the front abruptly told me no that she would get a $10000 fine for me to use it. I said wow that's bad customer service. This arrogant at best woman then said build us one then. Wow we are never coming back. Don't need to be treated like that when we spend a ton of money here. We will tell our horticultural friends as well. read more
