Found many good and interesting plants and trees here. Bought a plant the called a Mickey Mouse plant! It is called that because of the shape of the 3 "berries" where they form a V shape and will turn black forming the ears and nose (Not edible) I think it is a plant from Vietnam. Got a bit of an ick from this Santa Ana nursery. My best friend and I are really into gardening and we stopped by Emily Garden Nursery to expand our collection. Emily's has a large collection of very healthy looking fruit bearing plants. I fell in love with the mango and peach trees. The issue is that very few plants were labeled. They had hundreds of options, so it was like a guessing game to figure out what we were looking at. There was also no pricing listed for the plants available. While I could look past the lack of labels, I was pretty underwhelmed by the customer service at this nursery. The two women onsite wanted nothing to do with us. They never approached us throughout our search, seemed irritated by our price inquiries, and even refused to make a card purchase for a smaller item - after telling us they accept both cash and card. I left a little irked, but luckily there are so many beautiful outdoor plant stores nearby. Wouldn't recommend visiting unless you're a plant expert that can decipher 300+ species of fruit trees with no labels. read more

We bought this black gold plum tree a couple weeks ago and planted in the garden. But it didn't survive (see pic). The nursery refused to exchange it. So sad, we are used to the Home Depot policy where you can exchange plants up to 1 year after purchase. read more

I found this place online and decided to check it out. It was a lot of fun. Lots of tropical and exotic fruit trees and the owner was very friendly when she greeted us. I only wish we had a larger car since we were traveling from state to state and wish the price was a bit less. However I understand she has many rare and unusual fruit trees so it's normal to be more costly. With more $$$ and a bigger car I would visit this place again and recommend checking it out read more

LOVE THIS PLACE. We were looking for 6 fruit trees, and since there was a citrus quarantine, we decided that we didn't want those anyway because my aunts both have a ton of lemon, lime, orange and grapefruit trees, and they're always giving us a bunch. Someone recommended Emily Garden Nursery because their prices are fair, so I headed over on a Monday afternoon. A Vietnamese gentleman came out from the back shed (when you walk in, it's to the left) and helped me pick out 6 different fruit trees - I ended up with mango, guava, Asian pear, lychee, loquat and pomegranate. They look really great and healthy, especially when you compare them to stuff they have at Lowe's/Home Depot. They also deliver too (cash only) - they literally got to my house 10 minutes after I returned home. 6 fair-sized trees (some already have flowers and fruit!) cost me $570, which is way better than some other nurseries were charging for trees of equivalent or smaller size. The only bummer is that they don't have a guarantee - everything is final sale - but he did make sure that we had the right soil because he wanted to make sure that what I chose would grow well. Definitely will be returning here next time we need any sort of trees! read more

I came here looking to buy one tropical tree to fill my backyard. Owner was friendly and knowledgeable. He introduced me to a lot of variety of Asian trees that I didn't even know existed or can be grown in Southern California. We ended up with two beautiful nature lychee and longan trees, he even threw in free soils for us and a free dragon fruit plant since I really wanted one! His prices are unbeatable, and all the trees look like they are in great shape and form. We will be back soon in spring for his divine smelling fragrant trees. read more

I can't believe I haven't found this place sooner. It's directly across the street from the Home Depot. They carry so many exotic plants that you can't find at a generic or chain nursery. And the prices are ridiculously reasonable for the selection of plants. You'd probably be paying an arm and a leg anywhere else. I went on a whole Asian/ good luck tangent and bought: -ginormous money tree (in hopes it brings me ginormous amounts of money) - 3 feet Jade plant-- been on the hunt for the perfect jade plant for a while now. This is another plant that's supposed to bring good luck - 2 foot bonsai tree/ plant If I had owned my own place with a backyard I would have bought ALL of the fruit trees (lychee, longans, etc). The lady who ran the place was unbelievably sweet and helped us locate the perfect plants for our place. read more

My sisters and I came here on a sunny beautiful Californian day, looking for some fruit trees to give our mother for Mother's day. They have tons of different types of exotic trees! We saw longan, lychee, passionfruit, Barbados cherry, Chinese Apple, Soursop, dragon fruit, and more! We ended up getting a nice 6 foot Longan tree for $145, and a healthy Cherimoya tree for $85. They already had flowers on them so we should getting some fresh fruit soon. My mom was super EXCITED for her new trees! read more

Great place to browse a large selection of exotics fruit trees. I came here twice in a few weeks to purchase two trees. On my first visit, I bought a small lemon tree that had over a dozen lemons growing on the tree. I gifted the tree to my future in-laws but as it turns out a small lemon tree from the future son in-law is not to the level they were expecting. Silly me, I forgot that it's not the thought that counts in the Vietnamese culture it's more like how exotic and expensive is the tree that counts. :( So, I can back and purchase a 5ft soursop tree that cost me 3x the lemon tree just to calm the trash talk. Hopefully, fruit grows because I don't want to be hearing it for the next decade. The five stars for this place is for the great customer service. Both times, I was greeted and asked if I needed any help. They talked me through the replanting process and even coached me on how to pollinate the tree so I'll get better results. The prices are pretty amazing too. There's always a discount from their already reasonable prices. I'll be back in the near future. The in-laws might need a tree that grows a little fruit called appreciation. ;) read more

Emily Garden Rocks !! Amazing collection of fruit trees. They have fruit trees I never heard of .... I purchased a Meyer Lemon, Fuyu Persimmon and Hass Avocado. I could not be happier. I had the gardener out all day today to clean out a sunny area so I can buy more fruit. They also have lots of Orchids and very old Bonsai collection.
